I inherited a Winchester 190 22 LR and I have a scope that I would like to attach to it.

My problem is I can't tell what type of scope rings I need for my 190. Can somebody help me out here?

I have medium thickness carpet and very bad allergies (especially to dust and dust mites).

I've heard lots of great and bad things about Oreck vacuums, but the supposed lack of suction worries me for the deep cleaning. What would you suggest that is hypo allergenic and gets a good deep cleaning/suction?

I have an old Overhead Door opener (model 55A) from the mid '80s. I lost my remote recently and I've tried a few different universal remotes will no luck. For the dip switches 1 is in the minus spot and 2 through 9 are in the positive spot. The remote I bought has 12 switches. What do I need to do to program this remote?

I have a year and a half old male Papillon. Shortly after I got him he started showing anti social behavior. He barks unbearably every time I come home as if I was an intruder, 95% of anyone ever being at the door is me or my girlfriend but every time he goes insane for about a minute. If anyone even visits he acts like he wants to attack them until I pull out the laser pointer then he calms down. If I ever get brave enough to take him to the park he either wants to be best friends with the people and dogs or wants to attack them.

Recently he has started to get very skittish over the smallest things he would never have problems with. Such as brushing him. He acts now as if he has been beaten senseless by one and starts to bite me and the brush if i hold him still by his collar. Even petting him makes him nervous enough to bite me some times.

I'm at wits end here. I don't have enough money for any personal training and he has completed the beginning dog classes at PetSmart. He is a smart and loving dog but his behavior has been getting worse.

What can I do?

Typically the surname Watt comes from the UK. My family however came from what was Austria/Poland and what is now the Ukraine. Anyone have any insight as to why a Jewish family from Austria/Poland would have the surname Watt?

P.S. We are to believe our name was not changed and several different "cousins" came over as well with the same name and spelling.

I found a Papillon mix walking the streets about a week and a half ago. I have been taking care of him while I try to find his owners. The problem is while I have him he barks whenever I am not in plain sight. He will bark/cry for hours at a time. It doesn't matter if he is loose in the back yard or in a crate. Any tips on how to stop the barking?

My great great grandfather came to America in the late 1800's. I have census data, naturalization data and the such on him but I can't find his or his wife's Ellis Island/immigration info. We have a British last name but my great great grandfather was a Polish Jew who had never been to England. So we believe he changed his name after coming here. So where can I find name change records for New York?

I might ne buying a Pomeranian from somebody I know. Is there any thing I would need to know about them? What would be an expectable price to pay for one that is a pure breed and a few years old?

For as long as I can remember I have bitten my nails. I'm really starting to despise it. I think twice in my life I have managed to stop for about a month each time. No mater how hard I have tried I can't stop. Most the time I just instinctively bite them while day dreaming.

I need to edit/fix CAD work done by a now gone coworker. He used Unigraphics NX3 but nobody here knows how to use it. Does anyone know of a book I could purchase?

I have an AC to DC transformer I got out of a radio. I removed the rectifing (spelling?) circuit. So why is it that the transformer still only responds to AC input and not DC? I basically want a transformer that can take low voltage (aroung 6-12v DC) and step it up to 400VDC. Any suggestions or help?

Ok so I have a date in a few days with a girl who is 12 years older than me. We seem to have a decent amount in common etc etc. The problem is I'm home from college for the summer and my mom is going to want to know where I'm going. I know she wont approve and will try to talk me out of going. I told my dad, he seems ok with it and says he will let me use his car.

So should I lie to my mom, tell her but try to keep her from asking about my dates age or what? Any ideas?

Ok so I'm 22, had only 1 gf. I'm pretty good looking, I'm smart, I have a decent amount of money for somebody my age and a nice guy. I can never seem to ever find a girl who is interested in me. I've tried approaching face to face, internet and through friends and nothing has worked. I've been on a few dates in the last year but only with girls I knew from my several years ago. Does anyone have any ideas, tips or anything that could help me find a girl.

I'm a male college student having girl problems. All the way through High School there was a lack of datable girls in my life and hence I never had a girlfriend. I've had several close female friends. I had my first girlfriend last year. I'm not really even sure how it came about. My my lifelong problem has been talking with and and messing up with girls I like.

I did have some bad experiences in High School with girls but I have had these problems for longer than that. When ever I try to get help from people they always give bs answers like "just be yourself" or "just go for it". I do currently have a crush on a girl I know froma few of my classes. We sit next to eachother for one of them. I've been trying to ask her out for about a week or so now but can't build up the chutzpa to do it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this fear? I've tried just tackling it and that has never worked.
