Mom of three teens! Love church, crafts, renaissance festivals and online gaming. :) I never have enough time to do all I wish I could.

  • Are there any PWC in-house financing operations in Houston or surrounding area?

Credit is SHOT but that doesn't mean I haven't learned to be responsible these last six years. Car is paid off and now looking to use that money to invest in a PWC for my summer entertainment! Does anyone know of any in-house financing operations around town? That's how I was able to purchase a car and see! I paid THAT off! :) Good person just searching a good "mom and pop" type business willing to extend a bit of credit. Thanks in advance!

  • Lumps/Masses in upper abdominal area. What are they?

I thought a lipoma when I felt the first one, but now there are more. When I research cancer they talk about "the" tumor, not a legion of them! It is not isolated to one area. These can be felt on both the left and right sides of my upper stomach area. Am I feeling an organ or is that muscle tissue just underneath the skin? They're deep enough they don't show on the outside, but are easily found and felt with little effort or pressure. Don't say "see a doctor" as I have no insurance and no financial ability to do so. Do you know what these are?

  • Please help a gamer upgrade her computer?? :)?

I play World of Warcraft. I freeze when in Dalaran or in flight. It'll eventually continue game-play but it's hard on my fellow gamers when they're waiting on me to join them and I can't get to them because I'm stuck fighting the computer to get me there.

Currently capable of "playing" World of Warcraft, I want to tweak my system a bit for an even greater experience. What upgrades are available for:

    CPU: ACPI Uniprocessor PC w/ AMD 64 Processor 3800+ (2.41GHz, 1.0GB RAM)

    GRAPHICS: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (it's a 4670)

No particular sound card is installed to my knowledge. Under device manager, it lists Legacy drivers and Realtek High Definition audio. I run MS Windows XP Prof. operating system. I have a 70G HD so space hasn't become an issue.

Can you help? I'd really truly appreciate it!

  • When and to whom was this quote supposedly from Paul-Henri Spaak stated?

I can find NO references outside christian sites regarding the validity of this quote being said by this Belgian NATO Secretary General. Please give TO WHO he was speaking, WHEN he spoke it, and any other information you may have regarding the quote. The quote is: "We do not need another committee. We already have too many. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people and to lead us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us a man, be he God or the Devil, and we will receive him."

  • Are PWC easy to maintain?

I'm looking to purchase a PWC for the upcoming summer. Having no prior mechanical training and not having the bank to buy a brand new model, I'm curious how easy to repair/maintain personal watercraft are. I read how they work and it seems relatively simple. Please advise on whether they are easy enough for a beginner to work on or if I'll need a true repair shop's expertise.

  • Best PWC for Old Lady?

Looking to purchase a personal watercraft. I do NOT want stand-up models as I am not capable of getting back onto the thing if it tosses me off. 3-seater or 4-seater ideal. Any advice on which brands have LEAST tendancy to throw their riders? I'm going to use it strictly for enjoyment, not for speed or sport!! My only concern is the lack of muscle to pull myself back up onto the craft in the middle of a lake if the worst happens and I end up in the water instead of on my craft.

  • Is it too late to join Houston Rodeo committees to assist with the 2010 show?

Specifically interested in the transportation committee or horspitality (curious about fees for membership on horspitality). Is it too late to volunteer services for this year? Any information would be beneficial as the website only contains listings of committees and chairpersons but no further news.

  • Is dancing a learned or natural talent?

I have been taking a west coast swing class for a month. I'm finding it VERY hard to dance socially because I can't think fast enough on what the guy is leading me to do when it's not a set pattern. Does this ever get better? Is this something that, with time, gets more "known"? I can follow the basic patterns just fine, it's the social and "outside the basics" that throws me. I want so badly to be a great dancer. Any tips? Advice? I don't want to be that girl on the sidelines. I want to twirl!

  • What CAN I eat and WHAT is the very best effective exercises?

Ya always hear on Yahoo about how no pills will work, and all the usual diet "tips" that are healthy. I need to go hiking in 13 weeks. I have no strength, a bad right knee, and severe obesity. I need a good "boot camp" exercise regime (as I only have 13 weeks to go) and.. FOOD! I read this:

"Avoid these as much as possible:

    - Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)

    - High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)

    - Fast food

    - Junk food

    - White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes

    - The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)"

Now, after reading THAT... what CAN I eat? HONESTLY! Everything has those ingredients in them! What do I do?? What CAN I put in my mouth??

  • Cardio workouts only for weight loss or weights, too?

If you're substantially overweight, is cardio only the best idea for a while, or should you jump right into weights as well?

  • Any good mental tactical books?

Arguing and strategies of persuasion and power are what I seek. I'm not sure if that is a 'learned' trait or natural ability, but if anyone has any good books or information (historical or otherwise) that give good examples of these, please write!

  • What's the perfect 11 year old boy's Bible?

I'm wanting to buy my son a Bible. He's 11 going on 12 next month. He's a self-proclaimed atheist and goth. Our family (myself and his siblings) are all church-goers. I want to find him a good Bible that will intrigue him, answer questions for him, and give him a good resource during church and a middle school retreat coming up.

  • If you've never been flexible in your life, like ever, can you become flexible?

I have NEVER stretched out. NEVER been able to do the splits. At my age I don't have any reason to do the splits, but I would love some flexibility! Arms, legs, being able to touch my toes. What's a good way to get started without injuring myself? Is the "burn" a good thing or a sign that I'm stretching too far?

  • Any non-fiction book suggestions welcome!?

I am seeking novels/books that are high school level to mid-college level reading material. I would like a general knowledge of the world around me. Books that would heighten my intelligence. Make me think. Broaden my mind. I read a ton of fiction, but I am considering switching to non-fiction for a while to delve into reality a bit.
