I'm currently living in Hawaii but still have my NY ID, still making me a resident of NY. Could i hand in my passport and documents to the consulate in California and get a tourist visa there or would i have to go back to NY to get it processed?

Hi, my 7 in long Lionhead Goldfish died and I decided to raise some tetras, so I bought 9 Glowlight tetras and a bottle of Aqueon Tropical Flakes. Thing is they are very picky eaters. Out of the red, green and white flakes they usually go for the green and some nibble at the red and whites, from what I see. Is there a specific or a better type of food for them?

I tried searching but filtering out the brand tetra and the fish tetra is a real chore.

Just bought a Onkyo SR705, even with the new codecs, its still lacking. I cant get it to decode the DTS-HD or the Dolby TrueHD. Itll just say DTS or Dolby. Is that it? I have a PS3 hooked up with HDMI. The sound setting is bitstream, or should it be PCM? Just changed it. now it says PCM Multich HDMI. Sounds better. but am i actually getting the TrueHD decode?

Plus, i cant output video thru the HDMI to my monitor. im running a mac pro and a gateway 22" capable of 1080i. max resolution that is able to be outputted via the HDMI switch on my receiver is 1280x1024. Whats up with that?

Well.. thats the Onkyo SR705.. my other option is/was a Marantz SR5002. basically the same functions sans the HD codecs and 10w less power per channel. Should i go return the Onkyo and get the Marantz?

I have a 2004 Toyota Matrix. How do i change the battery cables? Is it easier to hack away the ends and reattach a new battery terminal plug or to change the entire wire? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a '04 Toyota Matrix with Alpine CDA-9885. I just ordered the Alpine HD Radio tuner.

I know the basics of how to connect it and an idea on how to run the wires, but do i HAVE to connect one of the cables to my cars Negative Battery Terminal? If i dont what will happen? Doesn't look like theres any place to run the wires to the battery, unless theres room under the side door frame.

Also the grounding cable, could I connect it to any part of the metal frame?

My driver side side skirt is missing.

Could it just fall of clean if i hit something at exactly the right spot? because its clean. no scratches around that area no nothing. could of been pried off, but still wondering.

How much would it cost if i went to the DEALER to buy a new skirt? Would it be cheaper if i just bought a whole kit or at least the two side skirts, off ebay, and just replace it myself?

I have or currently driving two cars for work. Both 2000, Ford E-350 and a Ford Excursion.

The E-350's power door locks just died. No response from the keyfob except the horn to tell you the doors are locked but it isn't. I can hear, the power i guess, going to the box behind the drivers seat but nothing happens. What wrong or what can i check? Don't have the manual so I can't check fuse boxes.

The Excursion's Driver side and rear locks work. Others will react to the button press but will not actually lock/unlock. Whats wrong with this?

I dont think mileage will make a difference or matter but will post anyways. E-350 around 90K and Excursion about 120K miles.

I think its my transmission....

Problem is that when i start my car for the first time, when i pull out and just "put the peddle to the metal" the RPM will go to redline and will not shift to second gear. Also if i push the gas and let go before the redline at 4000 or so RPM (Reds at 6 or 7k, 2004 Toyota Matrix XR 4WD) and then itll throttle down but if i apply more gas itll rev up and the CHECK ENGINE light will light up.

thing is that it never had any problems until i bought it into the dealer. Diagnosed a check engine, brake/abs light being lit. after i got it back its like this, over half a year go. reluctant to go back. each time they would charge me $800.. and the problems would still be there.

i had my transmission fluid replaced a month back. it is the reddish fluid right? no apparent leaks.. everything looks fine.

Yeah. Some person parked in front of my driveway/garage.

Honked like a mad man and no one came.(Even though a neighbor told me it was the person standing outside before.) Then proceeds to tell me that they do it all the time when were out of the house.

Writing a note probably wont stop them since they are parking in front of a garage and not just a driveway. So who would i call? and would the police (if i call them) do anything about it?

My small little crab latched on to one of my fantails tail.. and pulled/held it down. I dont think it happened before, or at least from what ive noticed. Now the tail if it is loose, like pulled apart. The fins are "Corroded" like its been nibbled off.. at first it was just lying on the bottom.. now its just floating in a separate container. It was still eating and swimming, but its "lifeless".. not swimming regularly.

should i be scared and do i put in any medication for it? or just have it separated?

'04 toyota matrix xr4wd.... 24000 miles a great of that is highway @ 75+mph..

so my ABS and BRAKE lights come on at times when is start my car.. and no the CHECK engine light came on as well.. so i made an appointment and have it checked out.. did.. and i found out my front brakes are worn out.. my back needs adjusting.. and my intake valves or something with valve is clogged with carbon..

so a cleaning of the engine area and replace/aligning brakes.. how much would it cost to be fixed at the dealer?...

$865 after tax.. is what imma about to pay.. would it be cheaper to get it it fixed at a "corner autoshop/garage" or at the dealer?..

I have 3 Goldfish (Ryukins?) and a Plecostomus (them algae eaters)..

i feed my goldfish on a daily basis, feeding a pinch each time. At night when i feed or drop a algae wafer for Plecostomus, all the goldfish starts to attack and peck away at the wafer, even if i feed the two at the same time. Is it healthy for them to eat that much and should i be concerned? suggestions? help?

When i put my iBook G4 to sleep, the internet almost always never work. Ive wait and wait but nothing. I reconnect to my network and nothing. The only way to get it to work is if i restart my iBook. Any work arounds?

one more thing.. how do i remove that VPN thing off my menu?

I just recieved a parking ticket for crosswalk obstruction.. my situation is that, the parking spot is between the crosswalk and a hydrant, the car is parked maybe about a foot over and into the crosswalk.. and my back is 2 inches into the yellow painting.. now the road was repaved just a little back and they moved the white crosswalk line BACK making the crosswalk wider and thus making the spot smaller..

some more details.. my car is a '04 Toyota Matrix.. and is shorter than most sedans out there.. measuring only 171.30 in length.. compared to 189.20 for the '05 Camery..

would i be able to go to court, fight it, and be dismissed?.. or do i have to cough up the $105 to pay it off..
