My dog is 2 years old and the male of the same breed is nearly 2 also. They are not related yet are friends and have been for about a year now. She went into heat about 6 days ago and I have both of them together today, March 19th for the entire day. The are in the house playing etc yet no breading yet. I think he wants to but she does not act super interested yet. I know for sure she is in heat. Any suggestions as to how I can make this successful and part two of this question is - should I put them in a very tiny room and shut the door or let them just hang out together in the Living room? It is way too cold to go outside as I live in Michigan.

Can dogs get lice.... mine has small tiny dandruff like things in her hair.

I have a small szhit zue about a year old and I think she has lice but not sure. Can this be possible. I keep her clean and take her for grooming at least once a month. Any ideas about what to do. I don't want to take her to the vet because she just wants to have me buy this real expensive medicine that cost nearly 100 dollars for one pill.

I have a 7 month old Shut tzu dog and her itching of her coat is unreal. I keep her groomed and she does not have fleas. I try to feed her an organic diet and I just cant understand what is causing this. The natural baths once a week or two does help. I use the natural oatmeal and Aloe bath formula.I want to remidy this situation as natural and chemical free as posible. Any suggestions??

We bought a 2 month old SZ puppy from a pet store here in Michigan. We paid good money for her and on the receipt it stated her breed as "shih tzu" which is exactly what she looks and acts like. We did not however get any registration papers. Now she is 6 months and I have been thinking, in the future, I want to breed her with another AKC registered Shih tzu. I know that she is full blooded and she is very smart and learns quick. She is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen. The store we bought her says they can not give us the information about the original owners, Can you give me some advice here. I am desperate to get papers for this dog. I have adapted a cat that my neighbor does not want. She is 10 years old and looks like her hair is coming out i globs. Anyone know what this is. She is a calico, multicolored cat I also am interested if anyone might know any remedies for Mange?? Thanks, Madelyn
