I start my freshman year of college next Wednesday August 16th, at my local community college. I was wondering what to expect on the first day? Also what do I bring with me? Do I need my textbooks? Any advice with help greatly!

My Dad is a truck driver for a local family owned business. He was pulled over yesterday for an inspection of his truck. Turns out there was several issues with the truck, and warnings were given. Where they issued to my Dad even though he had zero knowledge of the issues? Or his boss who is the owner of the truck?

I had scoliosis surgery in October 2011, where I had a rod fused into my spine with screws holding the rod into place to correct a serve curve in my spine. I was wondering if I could safely ride a roller coaster now? Because I know a lot of theme parks don't recommend them to people who have issues with their spine.

I found these really nice black pants for work at Ross. They're the only black plants that fit me properly and that I like. I was wondering where I could find them at online or in another store? Because my Ross store doesn't seem to have any more of them at all.

So, I currently do counseling with my school guidance counselor. Because I struggle with self-harm and Depression. I've done counseling with her on and off for three years now. She knows a lot more about me and my past and I'm more open with her. She also knows that I do counseling outside of school and she strongly encourages it.

But recently, my doctor recommend I see a counselor outside of school as well for my self-harm and depression.. But I'm finding it hard to open up to her and talk to her.

And I was wondering how I could go about asking my school guidance counselor if she would be willing to get in contact with my counselor outside of school. That way they could share inform ration back and forth about me and what's all going on. I already know I have to sign a consent form for this to be able to happen.

A new Illinois law went into affect last school year (2015-2016) stating that all 6th and 12 graders are by law required to get the meningitis vaccine.

Well, I'm in 12th grade this year (2016-2017) and we weren't informed at all by the school that I was required to get a shot. I actually wouldn't have known if it wouldn't have been for friends on social media who go to a different school than I do.

I was wondering could a school legally get in trouble for not informing us that we had to get a shot, since it is the law that we get this shot?

I recently bought a pair of Sperry's in the AngelFish style and I was wondering if they stretch out at all?

I typically wear a 10 in every other shoe, but the 10 in Sperry's was way to lose and I couldn't find a 9 1/2 in the style I wanted.

The straps on my Jansport sit higher up, how could I fix that?

I was curious to see when other people go back to school and were you are from.

I go back August 11th and I'm from Illinois.

Does my schedule look hard for next year? What can I expect to learn in these classes?

I know they all aren't about self-injury but I'd like for them so be about that or going through hard times just something like that.

Okay, so my friend is having her sweet 16 party tomorrow and she really wants me to go.

But, it's at a hotel and we will be going swimming. I started my period today (not .my first). I know the only way to swim on your period is with a tampon.

I do have some but I've never used one before and I'm really nervous to try and use one.

Any tips or advice?

I went to see my orthodontist about awhile back and they said come back in 6 months if I did all this keeping them clean and stuff.

But,I choose to slack off and not listen to them.

But,now I really really want braces(I need them badly). To fix the gap in my teeth would it be to late if I did everything they said to do the first time and go back in 6 months and consider braces again?
