I need some new songs to add to my iPod. I love bands like OneRepublic, Neon Trees, Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Linkin Park, and wrock bands (wizard rock) like the moaning myrtles, the parselmouths, and gred and forge. Any music similar to the ones by those bands would be great.

I don't like country at all. I can't stand it. I'll be willing to try other stuff, though.

So I have a project where I need to review the writing techniques used in romance novels to get teen girls to like them. It's kind of stupid, but that's what I need to do.

If I read a bad/annoying/stupid romance novel, then I'll have fun while reading, you know, criticizing it and whatever.

Can you guys please suggest a bad romance novel for me to read? It needs to be appropriate for teens. That means no sex please.

I'm thinking if I read a very bad romance book, I'll have fun while reading a genre of books that I absolutely hate. So, can you guys please give me a bad/annoying/stupid romance novel that is appropriate for teens?

And while I'm at it, can you please suggest a few really good books? I love Harry Potter (I'm a Harry Potter Freak), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, Evil Genius Series, Jonathon Strange & Mr Norrell, The Hunger Games (but the excessive fragments kind of annoy me), and the Artemis Fowl Series.

Okay, I have a big problem. I'm a sophomore, and my whole life I have been getting A's in every single class I took since Middle School. Last year, as a freshman, I had A's in all of my classes (including Physical Education). This year, for some reason, my teacher really really hates me and would not give me a good P.E. grade. I have A's in all of my classes again, except for P.E., which I have a C in. I tried hard, ran a mile in tutorials at least ten times just to boost my grade because she said she gives extra credit for coming in during tutorial (which is thirty minutes given to us for studying during school), and I still have a C on my report card. A few weeks before grades were due, I asked my grade to her and she said I was 7 points away from an A, and now, I have a C.

Will this affect the decisions for colleges? It has dropped my unweighted GPA to 3.66. I don't know what my weighted GPA is, but I'm taking one honors class (I would take more, but my school doesn't offer any more that I would be able to take).

My school uses a website where teachers can post the student's grade so that he or she can see it and try improving his or her grades. I took a test for chemistry and when we got our tests back I counted the mistakes I had and calculated my grade (my teacher doesn't let us see our grades on the test when he passes them out). Anyway, each mistake on a test is worth two points, and I had three mistakes. So I should have a 114/120. Online, however, it says I have a 98/120. I know that there is another girl in my class with the same name as me (but with different last names) and I know that she could be the one who should have that grade because I accidentally was given her test at first when the teacher was passing them out. I got my own afterwards. Anyways, I think my teacher switched our test grades by accident, and I e-mailed him about it. I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it yet. It's been a day and he hasn't answered yet. I'm scared he's not going to change the grades because at the beginning of the school year he made a speech about how "grades aren't important" and he "never wants a student to talk to him about grades". I was wondering if he is allowed to not give me the grade I receive. I mean, he has to change the grades, right? Because if he doesn't, my grade drops from an A to a B.

Also, how could I, if I have to, approach him and talk to him politely about it? Because he's a teacher who is famous at my school for being a tough teacher who hates his Chemistry Honors students and gets angry easily. So any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I just read that the MacBook can be charged up to 1000 times. What exactly does that mean?

I've had my laptop, which is a dell, for 3 years and it's really getting horribly annoying to use. I don't know if it's normal, but my battery barely works anymore, and the computer is really slow, shutting down all of a sudden sometimes. I'm 14 and am ready for a new laptop. My friend has a Mac and she's really happy with it, but my other friends are saying Macs aren't worth the price. I'm on a budget because I have to save my own money for the laptop. About 1100 dollars is my limit. So which laptop would you guys suggest? And if Macs are worth it, which should I get that could last me a long time?

I also heard of the storage problem of Macs, and I'm afraid I won't have space on my Mac if I buy one because I download a lot of music and videos, so....

I'm going to Barnes and Noble soon and I want to buy some good books. I'm also going to the library, so any good suggestions would help. I like books like The Uglies, Eon:The Dragoneye Reborn, Fairest, Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson, all Tamora Pierce books, Alex Rider, Vampirates, Fablehaven, Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell, The Heir Series, Leven Thumps, THe Naming, The HUnger games, The Knife of Never Letting Go, Evil Genius, Inkheart, Pendragon, THe Bartimaeus Trilogy, Magyk, Tunnels, the UNderland Chronicles, and The Supernaturalists. Hope those gave you an idea of the books I like. I tend to go more for the adventure, action, fantasy kind of books without too much romance. I have already read Twilight and Harry Potter, so please don't suggest those.

I loved the series by scott westerfeld and would like to see it made into a movie. Maybe the hunger games should be made into a movie also. These two series really made me think. Even after I finished the books, I was lying in bed thinking about them and, they were just books that made me think.

Ok, so my question is should Uglies be made into a movie, or is it already going to become a movie, as in are there plans to make it into a movie already?

Also, I would appreciate it if you guys could suggest some other books like the Uglies and The Hunger Games/Catching Fire.

To all those people who watch turkish series on atv: did "yalancisin sen" end? I really love that show and the last episode that came out ws supposed to determine if the show was going to end or not. The stupid people put the show late night on the weekday, so I don't have much hope for it. I live in America, so I don't really know about these stuff yet. please, whoever knows, tell me.

So I'm planning on having a movie night with my friends over. We're all 13, 14, or 15. What are some really good movies we could watch that are appropriate (like no cursing, swearing, nudity, etc.)? We all hate movies that has nothing but romance, and love action/adventure. It would be great if the movie is a little funny, too. Some spy movies would be great too because we all love reading those kinds of books too.

I was wondering if I'm falling behind if I take geometry enriched in 9th grade then go to algebra 2 in 10th grade. I was planning to take a test so my math level would be known, but since I entered highschool from an accredited private school, the admin. said all I needed was a recommendation from my math teacher to determine which math class I would be in. She said either geometry or algebra 2, and they put me in geometry enriched. I was planning on taking algebra 2 so as not to fall behind.

Sorry. So my main questions are: Would I be behind grade-level if I take geometry enriched in 9th grade? and Should I somehow be asked to be moved up into Algebra 2?

Ok, so my friend's dad and her new barber were talking and the discussion came to religion. Her dad is Muslim and the barber is Christian. I'll start the conversation from the talk about Jesus.

Barber: Jesus died for our sins, so every Christian goes to Paradise.

Dad: So are you allowed to commit any sin you want and still go to heaven?

Barber: No, because that will lead to Hell.

Dad: but you just said every Christian goes to Paradise.

Barber: Well, um, why do all Muslims have to be terrorists!?

There the conversation ended and my friend and her father left. I just wanted to know how you would defend yourself and your religion in that case because in the end, any one from any religion can be bad if they don't follow the religion properly. What the barber said really annoyed me because she talked as if the only terrorist act commited in the world was from Muslims.

I love Sweeny Todd, Beetle and the Nightmare Before Christmas. I can't wait for the Alice In Wonderland movie to come out, and I'm sure I'll love that one too.
