i just got a new front loading HE washing machine. and do i HAVE to use the HE soap? or can i still use my regular soap? cause i have like 4 full bottles that i bought on clearence. and i dont want to waste it all.

i just got a new front loading washing machine. and there are a couple of things that are alittle strange for me. 1 it makes no noise, and 2 there is no option for water level. every washing machine i have owened in the past had a water level selector, and was kinda loud. is this the new industry standard?
