  • What would happen if Google shut down?

Would there be a worldwide panic of people who don't know how long to boil eggs?

  • Why are sweet potatoes so hard to cut up?

Is it because I'm too short and can't put enough pressure down on them?

Also cucumbers and zucchinis. Do you ever start chopping into one of these vegetables and then have to stop and double check you've got the right one? Cause no one wants baked cucumbers or zucchinis in a salad!

  • My computer did a system reset and now I can't re-install Microsoft office, what should I do?

My computer has been freezing every time it gets too hot or I move it. This could also be because of a virus as I have not been running security scans on it and I know I should have. Then it froze really badly and offered to reset itself. I chose the option where it deletes all your programs you have loaded and goes back to factory settings but keeps your files. Probably a bad idea, but I did it.

Now I have been re-installing all my programs, but Microsoft office won't load. The first time I tried it came up to enter my key code and started downloading in the background. But when it was finished it all kind of disappeared and I couldn't find the programs that should have loaded to my computer. I tried again and again and once the programs loaded but I could not open them. Now it will not even start to install and I can't uninstall it. What should I do?

I have on my computer avg antivirus and it has a thing called a shredder which deletes the program so it can't be retrieved. If I do this will I be able to install office again?

My computer runs windows 8 and is a hp. I am trying to load Microsoft office 2013 to it.

    Please help!

If you had a world changing secret, what could possibly prompt you to tell it to a total stranger?

  • How can I actually finish a story?

My ideas and half written stories far outweigh any that I've finished. How do you find you manage to finish stories.

  • What is the name of this book? I read it when I was younger and really want to find it!?

This is a book I read once as a child. I think I chucked it out in a fit of tidying and for years on and off I have regretted it and wanted to buy it again. The only problem is I cannot remember the title of the book, and Google isn't helping at all!

So here is the basic plot: a boy goes to live with his aunt, I think he is an orphan, or maybe he is going there on a holiday. At first he doesn't like being there, because his aunt is a little weird; she lives in an house that is overgrown and has millions of cats (Exaggeration, ok.).

Next door there is a retired ships captain and his house is sort of like a ship. Anyway, after a little while the boy gets used to it, but then all the people in the village decide that she has too many cats and that she has to get rid of a certain number of them.

While they are coming to grips with this comes a 'scene' that I remember the most clearly; The boy is lying on his bed with one cat (I think it's grey) curled up on his pillow. There are other cats at the window asking to be let in, but the boy waits for his favourite part, when the cats getting up on their hind legs and scratch at the window with their font legs. Then he says to the cat "Shall we let them in ____ (insert name here)?" but the cat already inside is not going to leave the best spot on the bed. When the boy gets up to let them in he sees through the window the river, and it has swelled like a fat silver snake and it is heading towards the village.

So the long shot is that the boy and the aunt warn/rescue everyone and when the water goes down the people decide they were too hasty about the cats and either they let her keep them or they take some among themselves. And then the ship captain helps the aunt to redo her house, and I think they get married.

If it helps I vaguely remember the Aunts name being Belinda, but I could be wrong.

So there you have it. I know it seems a little strange that I couldn't find it anywhere when I have so much detail about it, but there you go! So please comment if you have any idea about the name of this book - I am waiting eagerly!!!

I have skin on my lips that keeps peeling? Please help?!?

Ever since I was little I used to pick at my lips with my teeth as a nervous habit and the skin would come off in a little spot in the middle of my lips. It became a firmly stuck habit and now that spot of skin just keeps getting dry like a callus and I can't help peeling it off with my teeth because it is uncomfortable. Then it just grows back dry and hard and it is really really gross.

What can I do to stop it from peeling like that? i think it is because I have been doing it for so long. I'm afraid it will look disgusting if I leave it alone to stop it, but is that the best thing to do? Please help!

  • How can I improve my poetry? Do you like this poem?

I found this poem that I'd written a little while ago, I know it's not perfect but there's something about it that I like :) Here is is,

    It’s a bad day today,

    I get the feeling I can't sway,

    My pillow appears beguiling,

    But my lips are tired,

    From not smiling.

How they laugh in my face,

Today I can’t find my own place,

Till AWESOME comes to the window,

    It is still out there,

    So I'll take it slow.

Sweet things fill my dreams now,

Like a fire-red bird that knows how,

To taint his sad mantra with joy,

    Then the world’s as glad,

    As the popcorn boy.

Do you have any suggestions to improve it?
