My questions are related to modifying mortgage loans and also the National Debt Relief Program” offered by many companies. I am a 60 year old retired police officer. I live in a rural area where my wife and I moved when I retired 8 years ago. Since then, I worked for a construction company but was laid off last year when the economy tanked. Over the last few years we have accumulated over $20k in credit card . With the help of unemployment insurance benefits, we have thus far been met our obligations but UI benefits may end within the next few months. Question #1:

Is it advisable to approach your lender directly to negotiate to modify a mortgage loan or to utilize a mortgage loan specialist? We have received ads from companies offering to negotiate modifications to mortgage loans (we have owned our home for 10 years and refinanced in the last year to reduce our interest rate)

Question #2:

Is there legitimacy to the “National Debt Relief Program,” supposedly brought about by the Obama Administration? If so, how can we safely choose a company to work with?

Regarding buying my poultry? They run me ragged and then say no, they don't want my birds. They have me completely analyze the bird(s) in question, measuring their parts, checking for defects, taking & uploading & downsizing pics, emailing back & forth, and THEN say no. Why can't they decide whether they really want more birds BEFORE putting me through the ringer? Window shoppers! Arghhhh!

I take way too many long naps, don't get much done, I used to be outside all day taking care of my animals and riding my horse. I am on anti-anxiety meds. for finger-biting, and have high liver enzymes. And a small cyst on my liver. Doc said that's not the cause of the high liver enzymes. Am I on too much meds.? Am I depressed? I feel very emotional a lot, too, crying at nothing, anything sad happens on TV I cry. I want to cry more but I hold back so as not to look weak. I have nightmares often too. I eat Ice Cream to comfort myself. I am a naturally nervous person, and i find it hard to socialize with others. But I am worried about my health. Is the weight to blame? Any ideas? Any docs or nurses out there who can help?
