I would love to speak with anyone who works for an NGO , human rights or international development ...

I am thinking of taking a degree (I'm 26 so going back to school in England is bit of a big decision) in Latin American Studies and Human Rights, but I'm not sure where it will get me or which type of job I'll end up doing....I would like to perhaps work for an NGO but finding it difficult to get in contact with someone who has a career in this type of work ....just need some guidance. anyone who has experience of this kind of degree or field of work I would love to pick your brain a little !

I'm in Costa Rica now and have been here for a year teaching English had a chance to travel central america a little and so I realised I would love to go back and take this degree only I'm not sure where it will take me and being 26 I kind of need to feel really sure this is going to be worth it. I will be studying in England so anyone who took this degree there ..even better, love to hear from you.

need some advice please people, as I haven't studied since college (England) and I'm now 26, taught English in Costa Rica for a year and travelled a little of central america, so decided to go back to n england and get a degree in Latin American studies and human rights. But ...I need some advice, anyone who went back to uni a little late, is there any financial help available or is it only student loans? I heard you can get some help but just can't see how this would be true.

ok so I'm living in a foreign country teaching english, have been here for a year and will be going home in 4 months. I met a guy here and I really dont know what to think now I know I might never see him again after this. I guess its nothing really really serious with us because we always knew I would be leaving, so he said to me once that he doesnt know how to feel because if he's in love and feeling all these things..then I leave anyway, whats the point etc. I feel same, why feel so much for someone when you know you both don't want to move country for good. Has anyone been in this situation and can tell me what happened? ...I'm so sad that I'm not going to be able to keep enjoying this guy. he's amazing ...sighhhh. ok any words of wisdom appreciated ..thanks

I have looked at the rules for regular IR AR ER verbs...but then there are all the other verbs that change from e > i or, o > ue etc ..

.is there an easier way to learn all these different verb patterns instead of only trying to memorise which words into e> i or o > ue catergory?? ...please help , any advice on learning ...tips welcome

I am on a course & one question was how many nouns in the sentence Dogs tend to chase cats

I would have said just 2 dog + cat. But I looked up the word chase and it shows as a noun

the quiz showed the correct answer as 2 nouns only: dog & cat

but now I'm confused. I understand a verb is an action - ie chase, but why doees dictionary show it as a noun too ?

when is it a noun? and when is it a verb?

It is hard to explain what I mean not a silhouette... but I am looking for types of pictures that are just the shadowing of parts of the face - and thats the only thing tat makes up the picture...kind of like pop art is usually picture made from lots of tiny dots....I need to know what it is called when you have pictures made from the shadowing of eyes, nose etc - and that is the only detail that makes the picture up....what is the type of art called please?? sorry thats not a very good explanation.....

I think my dream job( or 1 of them) would be to become a travel programme presenter, not package holiday destinations like Spain! but - did anyone see Equator ?yep like that!. Or like the programme (cant remember nameof it)where the guy just travelled around and lived with tribes for short periods and experienced different ways of life and culture/customs,that prog was quite funny too. I wanna do that!

I would love to work abroad teaching English as a foreign language;however the amount of information on the web is confusing!There are many varied types, I would like to do an in-depth course and gain a recognised qualification although, I am not sure which type of course to take - I found a good website cactustefl.com that helps to differentiate between all the courses but any more info would be great! I would love to hear from anyone who is currently teaching abroad or has done in the past. I would love some tips and info of good courses and where to study. I would like some vinyl with pictures, and the different coloured vinyl instead of plain black? my friend decorated a room with random ones around the walls - looks amazing, better than it sounds. I dont want to spend forever looking for good ones, any one help pls?xx
