I do all the decorating & gifting because of the grand kids but would just rather go to church & have a small family dinner. The kids get so much all through the year, it seems the more they get, the more they look for. Christmas has become too much about the gifts and who can outdo each other. It used to seem more reverent and simple when I was younger. I know they would be upset if I didn't participate but sometimes I just want to say no,no, no!

but every time you let up on the gas , it cuts off, so you have to drive with 2 feet. What could be the problem?

I rcvd a portion of the money but now he tells me the buyer wants out. He is renting the home to a sect 8 lady & he always pays the mtg late & this is going on my credit report. My name is still on the mtg but he says he owes me no info re his plans to find a new buyer. I believe he intends to sell at a higher price than agreed in our contract so he can make more money meanwhile he collects rent & pockets the difference after he pays the mtg. & I am left hanging. Since I signed the QCD to the lady in the contract he says I am no longer the owner. She is. I don't understand how since we never closed on this deal. And since she wants to back out what happens to that deed? I just want the balance of my money & my name off the mtg. Any suggestions what I can do? The contract was to be concluded the end of August 2007. Can't afford a high price lawyer. Please Help!!!!

I mailed a baby gift to a friend who lives in another state just before Christmas,after receiving an announcement of the baby's birth.She & I were close before she moved but since the move we have only corresponded by mail. I don't even know her phone number or if she has an e-maill address, since she moved about a year ago. I am a little hurt that she hasn't responded to thank me for the gift, not that that's the reason I sent it. She is a nice person but I find it upsetting that she would not send me an e-mail or call or something. Should I just forget about it or write to her & ask her if she got the gift. I don't want to embarass her.

I was in 8th grade & it was announced over our school PA system. We all said a prayer for the president & his family & then we were sent home. We were pretty much in a state of disbelief & shock & stayed in front of the TV sets.

Anyone else have discussions with husbands or straight males & then get the cold shoulder because they just can't seem to discuss the subject? I have several gay male friends & the heterosexual males in my life are really turned off by this. Why? They act like talking to a gay guy will compromise their manhood. Now celebrities & athletes are acting out. Women have you experienced this kind of behavior? And men what's really up?

I was totally taken by surprise that they would write her out of the show. I really thought they would go back into the OR & say that she had started to breathe again. I know a lot of people didn't like her because of what she did to Bianca but she really had a good storyline going between her sham of a marriage with JR & her thing with Josh plus her friendship with Zoey. So why Kill her off? And also why bring Dixie back from the dead only to kill her off again? Anybody have any thoughts?

I have a friend who's Life Insurance policy lapsed due to non-payment of premiums, after losing her job. She had paid into the policy for 10 yrs. I thought she might have some sort of refund or (partial reimbursement) due her . She thinks she's entitled to nothing & won't even call the insurance company. Any ideas?

But sometimes these beliefs that you carry from your childhood can be harmful. What is the best way to rid yourself of years & years of beliefs that are harmful? I've tried therapy but it's really hard to get past & dispel things taught by parents who did the best they could & then of course there's the religious belief's. This is a tough one.

I believe he was the executive producer of the show & he always sat in the front row & sometimes chatted with the ladies. Any body know if he left or is he just on a long vacation?

I really miss the show & wanted to buy the series DVD set, but it costs over $400 . Saving my pennies in a jar.

My husband doesn't want to remarry either & we get along fine. He lives in his place & I live in mine, we see each other at family functions & talk periodically. Certain family & friends feel that we should get a divorce but I don't see why at this point. We were to-gether for 12 yrs before our seperation & filed for divorce but it never materialized because of circumstances & illness, What do you think?

I asked her to move out of the house with her 3 kids because I knew moving him in was their next step,& since we'd been down that road before& I wasn't about to repeat it. Now she won't call me & doesn't answer my calls. It's been 6mos. & I've only seen my grandkids 2x. This has been hard for me since I was the one who provided childcare for them since birth & also my daughter & I had a pretty close relationship. I don't know how to fix this. She's never stayed angry at me this long. I tried to tell her I would not interfere in her relationship with her ex & would accept whatever she wants. I just want her to be happy & safe & my grand kids also. I really want to have some sort of relationship with my daughter. She's my only child & I miss her. PS. We had been discussing moving to seperate households in the near future anyway.

To sell my home "as is" what should I do? Do I contact a realtor or just try to sell it myself. I have no clue, It's not really in bad shape just needs minor repairs but is old (about 80yrs brick). I don't want to get taken to the cleaners.
