  • I have music on my iPod that doesn't appear on my iTunes library?

...which is weird, because there were some albums in my iTunes library that have been there for years and they just disappeared. I haven't used iTunes in a while, so I updated it recently and tried to view my library but a lot of songs were missing.

I also can't even get iTunes to recognize my iPod touch (5th gen), so I can't attempt to sync my songs back on to my iTunes library.

  • Toshiba television HDMI 1 won't work, displays "no video signal"?

I have a Toshiba 24V4210U and the HDMI 2 port works just fine, but when I try to connect a console or Google TV to the HDMI 2 port, it displays "no video signal." But when I press 'input' on the remote, it will display that the console is connected.

I've tried different HDMI cords and made sure there was nothing obstructing the port.

  • How long does it take for CNA certification to transfer from one state to another?

I'm certified in Nebraska but the job I want is in Iowa. I faxed the information they needed for the transfer last week and I'm wondering how long it will take?

  • Question about blood typing?

I gave blood last September and the Red Cross sent me a card saying that my blood type was rare. Specifically, it reads "Blood Type: S-, C-, E-, K: -1, Fy (a-), Fy (b-), Jk (b-).

What do the letters stand for and is there any website I can learn more about them? I tried the Red Cross's website, but it was pretty vague.

  • Can you sue someone if your stuff was stolen while it was in their care?

Not trying to sue anyone, this just a hypothetical example for an argument:

For example, if you lent someone your laptop and they forgot it at the library and someone else stole it. Could you sue the person who forgot it at the library?

  • Why can't I upload my files from Google Drive?

I'm using a chromebook, so I have to save all my files on Google Drive. When I try to upload a file from Google Drive, the "My Files" window only shows me files that have been shared with me; I can't access the other files saved on My Drive. In the same window, I tried clicking on "Downloads", "Recent", etc., but only those three files that were shared with me are accessible.

  • What's a good name for this board game?

I'm creating a board game for my Women and Gender Studies course but I just need a clever name for it. The working title is "The Game of Double Standards" (it's fashioned after "The Game of Life"), but I want something that doesn't sound so lazy.

To give you an idea, it's a two player game in which one player is a man, the other a woman (decided by flipping a coin). Their will be 4 stages of the board game: Childhood, Adolescence, Mid Life, and Later Life. The cards for each stage will incorporate gender stereotypes and disparities within American culture associated with that age. For example, if you're playing a woman and you draw a card from the adolescence stage and it says "You lost your virginity" you would lose money (which is like points in this game) for being a "sl*t". Whereas if you were a man and drew the same card, you would gain money for being a "stud". Who ever has the most money by the end is wins.

I will develop the game in such a way that it would not be impossible for the woman to win, but less likely. The purpose is to show how double standards can give an advantage to some while hindering others.

I haven't worked out all the kinks yet so if you have any ideas for a name or about the content of the game, your input would be greatly appreciated.

  • Print ads that are sexist against men?

For my Women and Gender Studies class I'm trying to find an ad (from a magazine, newspaper, or even the internet; no commercials) that shows men in a negative light based on their gender. I'd prefer if it was within the last 24 months.

  • Good movie to watch for ethics class?

All we do in my ethics class is watch movies that display what my professor calls "virtues and vices". I need to think of a good movie that shows the main character as a bad person but then later he or she proves to have redeeming qualities. So far we have watched "Return to Paradise" and "The Doctor". Thanks.

  • Can someone else take my cat to be declawed?

I really don't want my cat to be declawed but my mom keeps threatening to take her to the vet and have it done when I'm at school. I've asked the vet (Gentle Doctor) to put a note on her file that I don't want her to be declawed. I'm not sure how animal hospitals work: if my mom takes my cat to a different vet to have her declawed, will Gentle Doctor send them the notice that she can't be declawed?
