What colour wardrobe and bedside lockers?
We're doing up the spare bedroom (guest room) It's quite small (11ft x 12ft) and fairly dark. If we choose this bed http://www.harveynorman.ie/armstrong-4ft6-bed-fram... and paint the walls pale cream, what colour wardrobe and lockers should we have? Wondering about white.
What do you think?
2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling9 years agoHow can I find the name and address of a French bank from its IBAN & BIC codes?
To send a money transfer online to France, my bank insists I state the full address of the bank there - but I only have the IBAN and BIC codes. Is there any way, short of contacting the other party, that I can find out which bank the codes belong to?
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance10 years agoDo many/all UK GP practices have hand-washes for patients?
Hi. We live in Ireland and recently my husband took his father to the GP in the UK. There was a hand-cleaning device near reception (presumably anti-Swine flu) for patients. Do all GP practices have this now? And does everyone have to use it (including kids, babies etc).
I've seen it in hospitals here but not at our GP's. Thanks.

I don't have any tennis balls or tennis shoes - is there anything else I could use in the dryer?
If not I guess I'll have to go hunting for tennis balls.Expensive even in Argos!
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoHeadlight beam deflector liquid?
I read somewhere that you can buy stuff you paint on your headlights for driving in Europe (instead of the usual stick ons). Anyone know what it's called or where they sell it? I'm in Ireland but most UK products sell here.

Nous considerons louer un mobil-home et le site web dit que les frais de dossier (€20) ne sont pas compris dans le tarif. Est-ce obligatoire (comme le taxe de sejour), ou non? Je suis irlandaise et je ne connais pas l'expression. Merci.
2 AnswersBretagne1 decade agoWearing cropped trousers in London?
This might sound like a strange question but... do women wear cropped trousers/jeans in London these days? I'm flying there tomorrow for the weekend, and was planning to wear casual cropped trousers for comfort and coolness as I'll be on trains and walking a lot.
As I live in rural Ireland and rarely go to London, I suddenly wondered if I would look peculiar dressed like that. (I went there once in a bright red mac and stuck out like a sore thumb; everyone else was in black!).
I'd like to blend in with the crowd. Thanks for any advice.
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoIs "I'm In A Rock 'n' Roll Band" repeated?
It's on BBC2 at 10.10 tonight. Hubby wants to watch it, but I want to watch Eurovision.
Unfortunately we can't watch one prog and record a different one on our DVD recorder.
Thanks
2 AnswersOther - Television1 decade agoHow to dye my hair but keep some highlights?
I'm going to try a permanent home dye kit as I can't afford salon charges since the recession. I have a few highlights in my dark blonde hair. Is there a method I could use to retain the highlights when I put the home dye on? I was thinking of using clingfilm or vaseline to protect them from the dye.
Any thoughts please?

4 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoCan I legally download a copyrighted image for my own use?
This is from a website that sells large (A2 size) posters. If I download the image, then print it out as A4 and keep it for my own use at home, is that legal? I'm not going to upload it or sell or distribute it which I know could infringe the law. I'm just not sure how far the copyright law extends.
Thanks for any advice. Please don't say that no-one will know, because I will!
8 AnswersOther - Internet1 decade agoCar hire Stansted Airport - recommendations?
I need to rent a small car for 3 days from Stansted Airport in April. I've checked out the usual companies (Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Auto Europe etc) on websites like Review Centre and am horrified with all the terrible experiences people have had - particularly with gross overcharging.
Has anyone here had any good experiences - if so please name the company for me.
Thanks a mil

I'm looking to buy a black trench coat online and wonder which would look better on me, short or knee-length? I'm youthful 50, 5ft 5in, size 12. If you click on the small Alternative Image just underneath the main picture, you'll see the coats in black.

7 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoWhat US crime would she be charged with?
If someone was found smuggling stolen gems through US airport customs - what offence would she be charged with? (Assuming there was no evidence that she had stolen them herself but she couldn't prove that they'd been planted on her).
This is for a book I'm writing, btw, but I need to get the facts right. Thanks a mil.

3 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoHelp needed with formatting hard drive please.?
Long story but I need to remove XP from a computer I've been given and install Windows Me. I know that sounds bizarre but it's the only way I can run some very important software. That will be the ONLY use for this computer as I have a Vista laptop and a Mac to do everything else.
I don't have the XP install disk, though I do have Win Me disk + licence key. So I can't partition the drive because that would mean re-installing XP. All I can do is format the drive and install Me. But it seems I need the XP install disk to do that. Or can I use older boot disks - like Me or 95?
4 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoWhat to do with black olives?
I have half a jar of black olives I opened a couple of weeks back and they must be used by today. What nice veggie meal can I cook this evening that would use them up? I have most other standard ingredients in the house. Thank you.
13 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoCan someone give me their Win2k install disc?
I have some old software that only runs on Win 2K. Sadly, the hard drive on my 9-yr old desktop has died and I need to replace it and reinstall Win2k. However, I've ransacked the house but can't find my original install CD and you can't buy Win2K now. If I track down someone who doesn't need theirs any more and they have the original code is it OK to use it? Morally, I think it's fine, since I originally paid for Win2K but what does the law say?
Btw, the software runs off a parallel port dongle, so I can't use my Vista laptop in compatibility mode. Thanks
