  • central air problem...?

I noticed this afternoon that our a/c was not blowing as much through the vents or as cold as it should be. went outside to check the unit... the fan was running, the coils were not hot and the line going to the house (the money pit lately) was frosted up. is this something that can be repaired (thinking it might be the compressor), or am I going to have to roast until we can scrape up enough $$$ to buy a new one?

  • With Mother's Day just around the corner..What do you do to honor your Mom? & what makes her so special to you

My mom passed away 4 1/2 yrs ago and Mother's Day is always hard for me. She was a special woman who taught me so many things as I was growing up. She was always there to listen to me when I needed to "vent" and would gracefully offer her advice. She had compassion for all and was my best friend. I could tell her anything and I was never judged...just loved. Each day she is missed.

I honor my Mom by trying to be the best mom I can be to my children. Her gentleness and guidance were her strengths and I hope to offer my children the same thing. The only regret I have is that I wish she could have met my youngest son who was born 1 yr and 1 week from the anniversary of her death and that I could tell her just one more time...I love you.

  • Why is there so much fear about having a child with down syndrome?

just curious.....I am trying to understand all the negativity and fear behind it....is it fear of the unknown? would you be embarrassed at having a child with DS? would you love your child any less if it did have down syndrome? I see so many questions regarding women who are worried and stressed during their pregnancies about this and I wanted to hear other opinions. I am not asking this question to judge others.

  • help with a ford diesel.....any ford mechanics out here?

own a 2002 ford f-350 with a 7.3 liter diesel engine. do you know where I could find a colored wiring diagram for the motor?

the glow plug sensor module was replaced a few weeks ago, since then it has not been shifting right and today the heater bower motor was in the off position and the motor began running on high. I shut the truck off, let it sit for a minute or two and the engine started to turn over and the keys were in my pocket!!! it did this twice. then I noticed smoke comming from by the fuel filter now it won't do anything! any ideas on where I should start looking?.....please don't just comment by saying take it into the shop...it goes in on thursday, if I can't figure out what is wrong first.

  • what is up with so many people answering questions by telling them to watch the dog whisperer?

geeez people get a grip! he is not the cure all for all of your dogs problems.....proper training is and to actually take the time to train your dog. going to a obedience class helps teach you to train your dog but it doesn't end there! it is a continuous thing everyday!! all I have seen lately is "my dog whines" or he "poops and pees in the house" and on and on....a pet isn't a picture on a wall that you look at once in a while when you have the time...it is a responsibility...that is up to you as the owner to take care of and turn your little puppy into a well mannered and loved member of your family...there is no such thing as an easy answer it takes your time and a heck of a lot of patience to have that wonderful dog!

  • What to do with all of that halloween candy?

any suggestions? I have a 4 yr old who is hyper enough without a major sugar rush. we are limiting his intake to 2 pieces a day and hiding the rest (until I find where I hid it next year...lol)

alot of the homes we went to last night gave the neatest stuff...like little containers of pay dough, pumpkin sun glasses, pencils, glow sticks which I think are great and are keeping him from bouncing off the walls...but the candy.....oh my, we still have so much of it.
