I can't get my dog to eat anything. He is a 3 year old Maltese mix and I have him on Blue Wilderness. I have tried sprinkling cheese in it and he only eats the cheese out of it. He has cataracts but can still see a little and I have not moved his food. He has been to the vet and they've done alot of bloodwork and the only thing they can find is heartworms. I know that heartworms will cause a dog to have a lose in appetite, but he hasn't touched his food in about 3 days. He's a very happy dog, I just don't know what to do. He is drinking fine, just not eating. He wont touch wet food either... he'll eat soft treats though. (and his teeth are strong and healthy) Any suggestions?

I currently have a 3 year old Maltese Mix who has cataracts in both eyes. He is not completely blind, but I can def. tell his vision is not great. He has had several blood test and the vet can find nothing wrong (he has been tested for diabetes and other problems). The only known health problem besides the cataracts is heartworms, which he will be treated for within the next month. I was trying to see if anyone knew of anything I can use to either reverse the cataracts (which CAN be done depending on the reason for having it) or a way to keep it from getting worse. The vet says there are different eye drops that can be used. Surgery is not an option, he cannot even be fixed now because of having severe heartworms. Any suggestions would be great.

I am trying to think of a name for my etsy store. I will be selling fleece tie blankets, they are different than the usual 2 layer blankets that tie at the ends. I would like something cute and catchy. It would be neat to incorporate something with dogs. I have 2 that are the love of my life. I am very involved in rescue work as well. This will just be for the blankets I do on the side and hopefully in the future I will add a few more items, like handmade dog stuff. Thanks! Any ideas?

Our rescue grouped saved 4 kittens out of an abandoned house of an animal hoarder last week. All need medical treatment, but will be okay. We wanted to name them names that went together.

I feed my dog Nutro Ultra, it's the best dog food I can get at a store within 2 hours. (we are pretty far from anything). I want to switch to blue buffalo, but I really dont know what the right food is. There's so much to look for. I live in north east texas. Can anyone sggest a food. I was watching this video and how true is anything in it?

what is your experience with buying used books on amazon? Also if I order several of the "like new .02, good shape, $2..." willI pay 1 shipping rice or a $4 shipping price on each. Its unclear.

I just adopted a dog, a few days ago, and let me tell you he is great! He fits in so well with our family and loves us and our other dog! He is, however, very shy. He is a 1 year old sheltie, so I feel we can help him overcome his fears and shyness. We have tried not to make any loud noises around him, not yelled... At home he is doing better, but he gets startled easily out in public. (while we are walking, at the pet store...). I know he has never been socialized and is not use to being out in public and being around other dogs. We have been giving him training treats when he goes into a new and scary place (like the car, the store...) we have kept him close to us, making sure no one pets him just yet (We dont know enough about him to count out fear biting). H eis very intelligent and very sweet. Can you think of any other ways to make his new experiences pleasant and help with his fearfulness?

I am adopting a 1 year old sheltie and I want to know if anyone knows of a few things I can do with him to keep him from getting bored. Theres nothing really around here, I cant do agility, herding or anything like that, unless I did it my backyard by myself (not the herding though) lol.

Okay so I am adopting a Shelite (I get him next weekend) and I need a name for him. I al;ways change a dogs name when they get into my home to mark a new start. (i use to foster).

I now have Skipper and i would like something that would go with it, like a team name...

My husband suggested Gilly (gilligans island) or Maxwell (gillians island- christopher maxwell the radio announcer). He also thought some kind of peanut butter brand would be funny. There's not much that goes with Skipper. Please no "Popper".

The name must be 1-2 sylabols so the dog can learn it quicker, and it shouldnt sound like any command. Here's a picture of him (his name is maverick now...not likeing that)

I have done a bit of research about the breeds traits and genetic health problems and am failry knowledgeable in that aspect, but I have a few general questions:

What type of brush is the best to use and is best to ensure the coat will stay healthy? What type of collar shuld I use when going out? Is there anything else that I need that would be different? (diff. grooming supplies...)

I really like the ahirstyle that sophia bush had on one tree hill the other night. It was short, kind of like a bob, but not that boring and she had side sweep bangs. It was straight. Can anyone help me find a hairstyle like this? I usually have side sweep bangs with long layers, but my hair has grown out so much :(

I am making a dvd for the rescue I volunteer for. At the end we have different businesses and people that have helped us thorugh the year. What is a good song to use for this?

also what's a good song to usefor the part where I have put the different pictures from our adoptions. (not the happy tails) just pictures of kids and people playinging with and petting the dogs.

i need a few suggestions on songs I can use in the dvd I am making for our rescue.

I need a song for the happy tails section, foster section (pictures and videos of foster parents with dogs) adoptions, fundraisers (underdog movie adoption), christmas pictures, and a song for the thank yous.

Okay so in Feb, a few volunteers and foster parents are throwing a suprise celebration for the 2 founders of the rescue I volunteer for. We are having it ina banquet room and we are going to play a video ( with pictures and vidoes from events and dogs we've adopted) and have food! We are inviting all adopters, volunteers and foster parents. We are going to present the 2 founders with a plaque for the rescue's work done in the 2007 year.

does anybody know anything that we could have put on the plaque?
