  • Interlaced to Progressive converter?

    Is there any device that can convert Interlaced picture (480i, 720i, 1080i) to Progressive picture (480p, 720p, 1080p).

    I recently bought a Vizio Full HD but wil not be getting HD service for some time. Standard cable is broadcast in 480i and the 'line jumping' is quite noticeable.

    So my question is: is there any device that can convert between the two instantaneously BEFORE the signal reaches the TV? Preferable price range is $75 or less.

  • Free digital cable...?

    A while back I got cable internet. The service tech did not install any filters, so I now get free basic cable TV as well.

    My First question is: since there is no filter at all on my line, is it possible for me to get free Digital Cable TV?

    #2: If the above is possible, what will i need to get the free cable (digital cable box, type, manufacturer?)

  • Get the actual DISPLAY source code of a page?

    This is a little difficult to put into words, so I'll give a summary and then a code example.

    I'm trying to figure out a way to get the actual displayed code that is interpreted by the browser.

    Example:

    A Search Engines Results Page

    <html>

    <body>

    DisplayResults(); //javascript function that displays results

    </body>

    </html>

    But the above displays a large amount results to the screen, but thats all that shows up for the source code. What I would liek to know is, is there any way to get the displayed code? Reading the cached page, maybe?

    So instead of the above Example, you get:

    <html>

    <body>

    <p><a href=fggsdfgsg>Result 1<a/>

    <p><a href=fggsdfgsg>Result 2<a/>

    <p><a href=fggsdfgsg>Result 3<a/>

    </body>

    </html>

  • How to 'send' a JS function to another html page?

    Ok, I have a page that has two frames embedded in it. One frame's content i have control over (can edit) and one I do not.

    In the file I have control over (file1), I need to call a function in the other frame (which I don't have control over).

    Is there any way in which to do this? Thanks.

    P.S. The question may be a little hard to understand. To sum it up: I need to send a function to a separate page (in an iFrame) and I cannot edit the receiving page.
