  • Which Japanese motorcycle models have linked brakes with ABS?

I know Honda NC700X does, and Yamaha Super Tenere. But what about Suzuki V-Strom 650/1000, Kawasaki Versys, Honda CB500X? Any others? I'm pretty sure the Gold Wings do and many other Hondas. Thanks!

P.S. Looking only for information on the big 4 Japanese manufacturers. Thank you!

  • Panasonic DMC-ZS40 vs. Canon PowerShot SX700 HS vs. Sony HX50V?

I'm trying to pick a new compact travel superzoom to replace my current dying camera. I narrowed it down to these three because they are light and compact, have 30x optical zoom, record 1080 video, and have manual focus. I use them both inside and outside. I would take them to concerts, and I know they'll all be pretty weak in low light. What I do look for is a camera that will do better than others in low light, with zoom, and that will let me use manual focus while shooting zoomed video. I don't care about the display (I know Panasonic has a touch screen and that's probably why it's more expensive than the other two), or GPS or Wi-fi, or NFC. I care about sound, zoom/stabilization/video/focus. Don't care about memory type, battery type, or how long the battery will last (I always have a spare), and what effects/after-processing features it has. With all of this in mind, which one would you recommend and why? Thank you very much!

  • Pirelli Cinturato P7 or Bridgestone DriveGuard Run Flat?

I'm getting new tires for my 04 Infiniti I35 and I can't decide between Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus (94 load rating, 70,000 mile warranty, 700 tread wear) and Bridgestone DriveGuard Run Flat (94 XL load rating, 60,000 mile warranty, 500 tread wear). They are both V rated and rated A for treadwear and A for temperature. I have a full-size spare and will put one of the new tires on it too, so I'm getting 5. I've never had run-flats before, the idea sounds appealing if they're not too much noisier and don't wear too fast or ride too harshly. On the other hand, the Pirellis are highly rated, should last forever, and it's not likely that I'll be in trouble with a full-size spare on hand. The Bridgestones are $217 more out the door for 5 of them. I used to have Yokohamas and I liked them a lot, but these seem to have even better capabilities and aren't that much more expensive. I want the ride to be not overly harsh but for the car to corner well and for traction and dry stopping (live in AZ) to be very good. What would you recommend? Thanks!

  • Is it safe to use a spare tire 225/45R17 when the rest of them are 215/55R17?

I had a blowout and my spare is not a doughnut but a non-matching aftermarket wheel. I've got a 5 hour freeway drive ahead. Is it safe to use it? Thanks!

  • Did the Statute of Limitations on promissory notes in Arizona increase from 5 to 6 years?

I looked this up a few years ago and I could have sworn that the SOL for Arizona on a Promissory Note and on a Written Contract was 5 years. I found that in 2011 Arizona increased SOL for credit cards from 3 to 6 years, but I don't see anything about Promissory Notes.

Can anyone find me a reference link that shows exactly when this changed or shows that it's always been 6 years since 2008?

As a follow up question, if the SOL was 5 years in 2008 when the clock started on this, would the subsequent increase to 6 years be retroactive or would the SOL stay with the original since that's what the law was at the time?

    Thank you.

  • Future value of an annuity where the deposit frequency is different from the interest compounding frequency?

I'm looking to program in Excel a calculator, where you can enter the

    -initial deposit amount

    -periodic additional deposit amount

-the frequency of those additional deposits (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)

-simple annual interest rate, which is then COMPOUNDED DAILY

-and the time period before withdrawal (good for up to 10 years)

I've searched all over and it seems that everyone only calculates the scenarios where the deposit frequency is the same as the compounding frequency, but that doesn't work for me.

Ideally, I'd love to see the solution both as a pure formula (so that I can see the logic used), and as an Excel function (maybe using FV or EFFECT, etc.). Thanks in advance!

  • Incorrectly jump started a motorcycle.?

Hello, I'm a new biker and made a couple of dumb mistakes that I now need help fixing. I have an '08 Suzuki GS500F. I haven't been riding it very often lately (2-3 weeks in between) and have had to jump-start it twice before. I didn't know I was supposed to do it with the car off. It worked the first two times with the car running with no issues. Today I tried to jump-start it again with the car on. I may have hooked up the wires wrong on the car side (I know, I'm an idiot - it was dark and I was rushing to get to work). I saw a few sparks on the car battery as I connected that fourth clamp. Nothing happened to the car (I drove it to work), but the motorcycle is totally dead now, not even the headlight will turn on and pressing the ignition does nothing. Earlier today, before the jump-start, the lights would come in and it would try to start, just didn't have enough juice.

The question is, what have I likely fried and how do I fix it? My motorcycle mechanic is pretty far, so it would take me well over an hour to push the bike over there (and I don't have another way to transport it). I have a couple of auto parts stores that I could push it to in 10-15 minutes if need be and I know at least one of them carries bike batterries, but don't know about the fuses/cables/etc. I don't want to go buy a new battery if it was just a fuse somewhere. Can you give me a step-by-step checklist of what (and how) I should check to find the problem and fix it?

Thanks a lot! I know this was extremely dumb, and while you are certainly welcome to reiterate that fact, I'm hoping that someone will provide some useful advice on how to fix my bike as well. Thanks!

  • how to cycle through weapons in far cry 3?

Hi, I've got the PC version and I don't have the multi-weapon slings yet, but when I go to the store it says that I own several weapons (like bow, SVD, AK). But when I go on a mission, I have the AK and once I run out of bullets, I can't access the bow or the SVD, I can only switch to a mine or grenade. I've held down the 1 key and it shows only the AK at the top and the explosives on the sides, the other weapon slots are locked. I tried pressing x, that only switches between the AK and the mine. What am I missing? Or can I only take one weapon with me at a time until I get more slings and even though I own more weapons I can't carry them with me? Thanks!

  • Looking for a Japanese sword fighting (Kendo, Iaido) dojo in Phoenix, AZ?

Can anyone recommend a good dojo near North Phoenix/Scottsdale (we live by PV Mall)? My nephew wants to learn Japanese sword fighting. He's not sure if Kendo or Iaido is right for him. Whatever is closest to the real thing. Thank you.

  • can I get in trouble for a dirty pool in Phoenix, AZ?

Our swimming pool is pretty dirty, there was algae, we killed it, then we had the monsoon season and it's just really dirty. We couldn't clean it fast enough because this water hasn't been changed in a while and it doesn't absorb chemicals too well. We plan to replaster the pool in two months. In the meantime we circulate the water in the pool every night and we add chlorine every week. There's no way there could be any mosquitoes there because the water does not stand still.

Our neighbors complained about mosquitoes and think that our pool (because it looks dirty) is the cause of it. I explained that we chlorinate it plenty and there's no way anything can live there, but they don't believe me and want to file a complaint with the city.

What rights do I have? How does this whole thing work? Will an inspector come by, look into our back yard, see that it's dirty, and write us a fine? Or will they actually test our water, see that nothing is wrong, and leave us alone long enough for us to do the replaster in two months?

The only reference to any of this I see in the Maricopa County Health Code, where in Chapter III it says that we have to take any reasonable steps to prevent mosquito breeding. So I think we're fine, I just don't know if they'll look hard enough to see that there's nothing there or just see a dirty pool and write us a fine.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Please help. Thank you!

  • How do I look up if there's a lien on a home in AZ?

I want to look up what liens, if any, are on a home in Scottsdale, AZ (Maricopa County). My understanding is that it's a matter of public record. I have the address and the parcel number. Is there any way to get this information online? If not, who do I call, write, or where do I go? Thanks!

  • what's a good reliable portable ac for a 200 sq ft room?

I've searched online and the vast majority of the AC's I've looked at have horrible reviews. All the popular brands like Royal Sovereign and SPT have horror stories about them online. I don't need anything fancy. Just something to cool down my room that has a permanent washable filter and doesn't need to be emptied out. I'll drill a hole in the wall for the hose out, so the extra water can drain there. More than anything though, I need something that will work efficiently and reliably. Not like in most of the reviews where the unit starts leaking after a month, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this? Please help. Also, if you can post specific model numbers or better yet, links to them, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you!

P.S. A window unit is not an option for me. It has to be one with a hose that goes outside.

  • Can anyone recommend a good Anime similar to the ones I like?

In general I like action/adventure with good character development, mystery, etc. I DON'T like ones that are just comedy/parody, are just about the everyday life, ones that are made for kids or adolescents (no Dragonball, Last Airbender, Naruto, Pokemon, etc.), meccha ones, not even the "classics" like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Eureka 7 (with a couple of exceptions, like GunGrave, Lelouch of the Rebellion, which use them quite a bit, but they are not central to the story), ones that are way abstract (like FLCL), and ones whose story lines are way too slow (no matter how many positive reviews I got of The Record of Lodoss War, I couldn't finish it for the life of me). As a bonus to helping me with my question, there's a chance that you'll find some good anime on my list that you haven't seen yet.

So here's a brief list of some of my favorites:

Black Lagoon (both seasons) - one of my all-time favorites

Bleach - very good, even if slow at times

    Claymore

Cowboy Bebop - great characters and action

Death Note - brilliant writing, wonderful characters and suspense

Eifen Lied (not the best, but original and fast-pased enough)

Ergo Proxy - very deep and philosophical, yet with some good action

Final Fantasy - Advent Children (movie) - visually stunning, although boring at times

Full Metal Alchemist (currently watching season 2)

Ghost in the Shell (both seasons) - great action and some interesting philosophical points

Gunslinger Girl (a little weak, but I still enjoyed it)

    Hellsing

Last Exile - great animation and a captivating story, great characters too

Lelouch of the Rebellion (both seasons) - very clever and suspenseful, although not nearly as good as Death Note

Monster - even though it's long (74 episodes) and slow at times, this is one of my all-time favorites. the characters, the story-line, the study of the human heart are all top-notch

    Ninja Scroll (movie)

    Ruroni Kenshin (Samurai X)

    Samurai 7

Samurai Champloo (my number one favorite of all time - action, drama, comedy, it's all there)

    Trigun

    ==============

These ones were good enough to watch and enjoy, but not ones I'm likely to ever watch again:

    Baccano!

    Basilisk

    Berserk

    Black Blood Brothers

    Blood+

    Darker Than Black

    GetBackers

    GunGrave

    Read or Die

    Trinity Blood

    Vampire Hunter D

and whatever the one was where the guy could kill people with his photo camera

    ===============================

So what other series would you recommend and why? Thank you!

  • What episode should I start watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood from if I've seen the original already?

I started watching the Brotherhood series, and it's all a rehash of the same old story, but it looks like the late episodes are different. I read up on the series in Wikipedia and I understand that there are differences even though they follow the same basic plot. So should I watch the Brotherhood, or is it mostly the same as the first one? If I should watch it, which episode should I stat with so I don't watch too much of the same story? Thanks!

  • What are the best off-road tires (and accessories) for 99 QX4?

I recently bought a 99 Infiniti QX4. The tires still have some life left on them, but I'm already starting to look for new ones. I LOVE to off-road - mud, snow, even some lighter rock crawling are all good by me. What would you recommend for my new tire purchase (if there's a good tire that'll fit the stock wheels, I'd look at that first, if not, then what wheel/tire combo)? Also, would you recommend any other must-have accessories? Skid plates, lockers? What kind? Where can I get them? I am only looking for these upgrades to cost under $2,000, hopefully less, so no fancy stuff, please.

    Thanks for your help!

  • How can I get custom T-shirts, stickers available through my site without having to pre-order and pre-pay?

I have a friend who has her own band. She wants to sell T-shirts with the band logo through her site. How can she make it so that when someone orders a shirt through her site, it triggers an order from a custom T-shirt printing company? We'd like to find a way for her to sell T-shirts without having to pre-order a bunch of them and do her own shipping. I found a bunch of sites on the web that will allow her to order custom shirts and stickers in small quantities, but then, she'll still have to do all the legwork of processing the orders, shipping them herself, and keeping an inventory of shirts. What's an easier way to do that? Thank you!

  • How would foreclosure and/or bankruptcy affect securities and life insurance licenses?

I have Series 7, 63, 65 and AZ Life & Health licenses. I am facing foreclosure on my home. I don't want to file for bankruptcy, but if my lender successfully gets a deficiency judgment for the balance of the loan that's not covered by the sale of the house, I might have to go for bankruptcy.

I want to keep working in the financial industry, and eventually to get a CFP. Can you tell me what effect, if any, foreclosure and bankruptcy would have on my current licenses and on abilitiy to obtain/renew future licenses?

  • What is the likelihood of Countrywide getting a deficiency judgment on an az foreclosure (read for details)?

I have Countrywide for 1st and 2nd mortgages, totaling $310K. I know my home isn't worth more than $260K for a reasonably quick sale right now. I recently did a loan modification with them on both loans, trying to catch up, but my income dropped further, I'm behind again, and I've decided to cut my losses.

I don't want to file for bankruptcy. I just want to get rid of the home loans and then get caught up on all of my unsecured debts. I'm worried that they'll auction it off for ~$200K and then get a deficiency judgment to make me pay them the difference. What is the likelihood of that happening? Is there something in the loan docs that'll tell me if this is even an option for them (or perhaps it's in the AZ law somewhere)?

I make pretty good money (just under $50K) and they have proof of that from my recent loan modification. Is this going to make them want to or able to get a deficiency judgment against me?

  • what's the healthiest red wine to drink regularly?

I keep reading that a glass of red wine a day is actually quite good for health. But there are so many. I figured the organic red wines would be healthiest, but even then, does it matter what kind? Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet, etc.? Any ideas would be great. Thanks!
