  • Good mountain for honeymoon with new skier?

I'm taking my future wife skiing for our honeymoon. I have several trips under me, but she has never been before. I'd like to find a beginner-friendly mountain (lots of fun greens) and preferably one with a fun base town or a good city nearby.

We are coming from Texas, so I'd prefer to find something in New Mexico or Colorado.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Looking for a heavy, strong tripod?

I don't need it for a camera, but I need to find an adjustable tripod that has a weight capacity over 30 lbs and I would prefer it to be heavy (10+ pounds). Does anyone know where I could find something like this? and preferably in a decently low price range

  • Getting an MBA after 2-4 years of work, should I tell the hiring company?

I will be graduating this May with a BS in mechanical engineering. I plan to get 2-4 years of work experience and then go back to school for an MBA. If I were to tell this to hiring companies, would they be less likely to want to hire me? I've already taken the GMAT and scored a 660, which should be high enough to get me into one of the top 50 MBA programs in the U.S.

Thank you in advance for the assistance!

  • Confused on road bike sizing?

I've looked at several guides and the more I see, the more I become confused. I am 6' 2"ish. Using the measurement guides on http://www.sierratradingpost.com/lp2/bike-fit-guid... which has you a hold a book up to your crotch, I have a 33" inseam, a 27.5" torso, and 25" arm length. According to this guide, I should buy a 56cm road bike. Many other guides, like http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/roadsizing.htm... and ebay's guide have said that for that height and inseam, I should have a 60-62cm. http://www.bikecyclingreviews.com/faq/1004_choosin... tells me 57cm and that I apparently have freakishly small legs for my height. Please help!

I don't know if it will help, but my jeans have a 34" inseam and go one inch past my heel, so the 33" seems to be about right. Thank you to everyone who tries to help

I've come up with a polar position vector with respect to time that I'd like to convert into rectangular coordinates. Any thoughts on how to do this?It only needs to remain true for the first 180 degrees

  • Finding a job in engineering, can I choose the city?

My girlfriend(future wife) is planning on going to vet school at Colorado State University in Fort Collins after we have received our bachelor's degrees, which is in two years. Being separated for four years while she gets her degree seems less than ideal. I know finding a job can be a very competitive process, and if I followed her, I'd be moving to a college city that I'm assuming would favor its own graduates to most outside universities'. Would it be feasible for me to plan on getting a decent job in engineering out there?

note: I should be receiving my bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University after spring 2009, and I currently have about a 3.5

  • Looking for a good digital camera, but don't know what to look for?

I'm trying to help my girlfriend find one that is less than $400 and shoots high quality pictures quickly(short delay between button click and taking of picture). She says that she does not care about the size and would prefer not to have one of those flat cameras. I've been looking at:

    http://www.cameraforless.com/itemdetail.asp?itemid...

this site and refurbdepot.com seem to be selling this camera for cheap, but is either a trustworthy site? thank you for your help

  • Buy a home now or later?

so if you can write a house off of your taxes...from strictly a financial point of view, would it be better to make a small down payment on a home and pay for it as you can(with interest), or to save for a few years and pay for it all up front?

  • Induced Emf?

The Problem I was Given: A coil is wrapped with 147 turns of wire on the perimeter of a square frame of sides 10.4 cm. Each turn has the same area, equal to that of the frame, and the total resistance of the coil is 2.58 Ohms. A uniform magnetic field is turned on perpendicular to the plane of the coil. If the field changes linearly from 0 to 0.912 Wb/m^2 in a time of 0.755 s, find the magnitude of the induced emf in the coil while the field is changing. Answer in units of V.

My initial thoughts were to disregard the number of loops and resistance, multiplying the area of the square by 0.912 Wb/m^2 to give the change in flux. Then, I divided the change in flux by the change in time to give what I had believed was the induced emf, but this appears to give the wrong answer, what am I overlooking?

  • need help on this problem dealing with E fields and E potential?

    V=(8 V/m^4) (x^2) (y^2) + (3.9 V/m^4) (z^2) (x^2 - 6 m^2) + (6.6 V/m^4) (y^3) (z)

    considering (x, y, z):

What is the y component of the electric field at (1.7m, -4m, 6.6m)? Answer in units of V/m.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, keep in mind that the above equation is equal to the potential, not the E field

  • which is a good martial art for gaining quick feet that involves sparring?

I want to increase my reactions and movement speed, becoming very quick on my feet is my primary goal. I would also like to join one that includes a belt ranking system, but I would prefer the ranks to be earned through ability, not necessarily the amount of time spent. Are there any martial arts like this in which you must win while sparring to gain rank?

  • Will I be able to work out like I used to?

I messed up my knee, I'm assuming through powercleans a few years back. Since, I have been afraid to lift like I used to. I am perfectly able to run like I always have been, but I want to strengthen my legs back to where they were. When I try to strain it, it becomes very sore for long periods of time. Is there any way to enhance the strength in my knee so I can go back to highly weighted squats and cleans?
