My boyfriend loves King Cake and I want to make it for him and his family this year, instead of buying one.

I looked up a recipe and it is asking me to:

Combine the yeast, sugar, butter, and egg yolks in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook. Add the milk. With mixer on low speed, beat for 4 minutes to dissolve yeast. If yeast mix does not begin to foam, its not active and start over.

I do not have a mixer or a dough hook, but I do have a hand mixer. any alternatives to doing this? By hand or with my trusty hand mixer.

Or

Anyone have an easier recipe?

I know this is a dumb question, but feel I have to ask, and please serious replies ONLY.

I stopped short and hit a vehicle infront of me and they hit the vehicle infront of them. No airbag deployment occured and no damages were visible, so we all agreed to go on our way and no one wanted to exchange info.

I am driving down about a mile and the car I hit waves me down, I pull over and they claim that air bag sensor is not turning off.

My questions are:

Should I have them go to MY mechanic and not their's?

How do I know light was not on prior to accident?

If it is her air bag sensor, then isnt it on because she hit someone?

Me and my bf are going on a road trip, from central NJ to Louisville, KY, then Bowling Green, KY and then Nasheville, TN. What can we see that is a must on this long trip?

I am very hard to scare, I mostly laugh and the one who always walks in the front. I guess I am fearless.

I think I have 2 problems....

1. If I leave the car parked for about 4-5 days the battery automatically dies. Car will not start unless I get a jump or switch out the battery.

2. Considering I have had the distributor replaced this should no longer be a problem, but I am going to ask. When car has been all day or for even just 30 minutes - check engine light will suddenly come on. Then, every time I press or let off the accelerator the entire car thumps.

Rather not go to a chain restaurant, ex: Chris' Ruths', Longhorn, etc..

Going to Niagara Falls this weekend and saw that there is a nice Club/Lounge called Dragonfly.

Anyone ever been there? If so, how are the prices on drinks? Atmosphere? What kind of music on Satrudays?

BF and I going to Niagara falls for the weekend.

We def going behind the falls and maid of the mist. Not interested in the butterfly attraction.

My boyfriend and I like to go out to dinner each month on our month anniversary. Just a nice little dinner at a good restaurant.

I bought a couple one day, they came out so juicy and sweet. Then couple weeks after bought from the same co. that made them and they came not as sweet.

Which do you think is better?

I am really luck there are no Krispy Kreme locations near me. I refuse to buy them from convenience stores and supermarkets, due to them not being freshly made. It seems that in Vegas and in CT so far they make the doughnuts on site. YUMMY!!!

A friend of mine is a property mgr for a dorm hall for Juniors & Seniors only. The pay is only 25k a year and free rent, all utilities paid.

Presently I work for a worldwide shipping company (huge) and I currently make about 40k plus a lot of benefits, free gym, paid tuition, etc. I am still working on getting my BA in Bussiness Admin and I still dont know what I want to do in my career/life.
