  • Military divorce question 20/20/20 rule?

I am curious as to if service members who have been on active duty and have served in the Reserves or Guard for 20 years are considered for the 20 year rule?

I am wondering if they would have to be active duty the entire 20 years, meaning having a full-time military job, five or more days a week as well as having been on deployments to qualify for this rule. Or, if a combination of both active and Reserves qualifies. Does anyone know for absolute sure? Thank you. :-)

  • What is 20 years overlap of military time?

I don't understand what it means when it is mentioned for the 20/20/20 rule for military retirement rule. I know you have to be married 20 years, active duty 20 years, but what is 20 years overlap of military time mean?

  • Good books to help to cope with anxiety, OCD, and depression caused from an unfaithful relationship?

Does anyone know of any really great books out there that are helpful to someone who is trying to get through a divorce when the spouse cheated? I need something that focuses on how to cope with emotions, as well as depression, OCD, and anxiety which have cropped up significantly over the last week. I am seeing a therapist is a couple of days, but a book or two would be very helpful as well. Also, any technique that has helped any if you who have gone through this, if you dont mind sharing would be appreciated. By the way, the relationship is definitely over, so please, no advice in reconciliation. Thanks.

  • I love you and care about you deeply and I always will, but...I'm not in love with you?

My husband of 19 years is having an affair. I have to say that it is completely over between us no matter if he changes his mind on down the road or whatever. I will not go through this again. With that being said, how can someone say that they will always love you and care about you, but they are no longer in love with you? I gave him his wedding ring which was here at the house and told him that I was selling mine. I don't want to see it. He looked shocked and said that he was keeping his because 19 years meant a lot to him. Why would you keep your wedding ring if you were supposedly in love with someone new? He also does not want a divorce, even though it would benefit him because I do not have a job and I wouldn't make out as well as I am now with a separAtion agreement. I think he has a screw loose?

  • Which is the better of the two? military or civilian divorce?

My husband is a First Sergeant in the Army. We have been married for 19 years. We live in the state of PA. I have never worked any substantial job during our marriage because he traveled a lot and I stayed home with our daughter and took.care of our home. (She is 18 now.). We have a marriage separation agreement Affidavit which pays for everything my daughter and I need. This was signed by a notary because the state of PA does not recognize Legal Separation. My husband doesn't care about getting a divorce, ( This makes me suspicious.) because he knows we need medical insurance. I also found out after this affidavit was signed that he has been having an affair for six months. I'm confused. I don't want to screw up all the money he is agreeing to pay by ticking him off, but...I have to be absolutely sure that it will stand in court if it is broken. With him being a First Sergeant, I don't want him finding out that I went to his Commanding officer for advice or to the JAG. The lawyer, however that I found who knows his military stuff is $500.00 1st visit with a 2,000.00 retainer fee. Which direction should I go? Also, what benefits might I receive if I go the military route vs civilian?

  • What condition is this?

Please help. I don't think this is PTSD, but..my husband and I started having marital problems after he came back from Iraq 2 years ago. We had a few before then, but not anything serious. Things were fine for a few months, and then it all went to crap. Although he was never a person to talk about his feelings, he started to totally shut me out. I tried to get us counseling, etc....To make a long story short, we are now separated and he says that he isn't in love with me anymore and that this woman hes been cheating on me with for the past 6 months makes him feel loved, etc...I honestly tried that, I gave it my all. Hes been very odd acting these past couple of years. He would just stare at the tv, twitch in bed, sleep in a fetal position. He also shows many signs of OCD. He has a very stressful job. He always rushes to get things done. Last night we were talking and he finally broke down and cried and actually talked to me. He didn't say he wanted me back or anything, but he said he wished we could have fixed our marriage 2 years ago because now, he is just numb from it. Then he started pacing the floor and saying he was, "full" and he had to go clear his head. He just kept saying that. Then he said he had to clean the back of his car out because of his OCD. He really scared me. He is usually the calmest person in the world. Then he sat down beside me and just hugged me. But he kept saying he was full. He said that that's all he could talk about now its either full or not talking at all. And then he left. Please help. Even though he did me wrong, I am worried about what is wrong with him. Sorry this was Sooooo long

  • My husband left me. I will soon be homeless, please help!?

My husband of 18 years left me. I have always stayed at home with our daughter, mostly because my husband is full-time military and travels a lot and I didn't want someone else raising her. She, is, however starting college in a week. I don't have a problem working, except that I have many health problems which prohibit me from doing so. I do not qualify for SSI since I have not put in enough hours of work. I do not have family or friends that I can stay with either. At the end of the month, the house payment will be due and I will be out on the street. Is there anything that I can do about this? Is he responsible for any of the bills or for the house payment since he just walked out? Also, what can I do?

  • FAFSA and SAR income tax question.?

My daughter received her SAR today. My question is about income tax proof. We have already completed our income taxes and reported the information on our daughter's FAFSA. Will the college request this at a later time, or will we need to go back into the FAFSA application and link the tax info to the college? Thanks.

  • Can Hyperinsulinemia turn into Diabetes Type 1?

I have been diagnosed with Hyperinsulinemia. My Endocrinologist found it by having a C-Peptide test ordered for me. She noticed that I have a lot of weight gain in my stomach area and that my blood sugar fluctuates from low to normal.

I also have a few auto-immune diseases such as, Hashimoto's Thyroditis ( Hypothyroidism ), Sjogren's, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I have done lots of research on the auto-immune diseases that I mentioned above, however, I do not know much a bout Hyperinsulinemia.

I do know that I am producing too much insulin and that I do not yet have Diabetes. But...I know that it can be a pre-curser to diabetes. Could it lead to Diabetes Type 1 since I also have the auto-immune antibody present or would it just be type 2.....IF I develop it at all?

    Thank you for your help.

  • What major should I take in college to prepare me in a career in Clinical Pathology?

    Hello!

I am interested in a career in Clinical Pathology. I know that I will need to attend Medical School after acquiring my bachelors degree in college, but what major should I be taking to prepare myself for Medical School? I read on a website that I won't necessarily need to major in a science, but if that is the case, then what would be another option? Thank you in advance!

  • Does anyone have any seating suggestions for Progressive Field in Cleveland?

I am attending an Indians/ Yankees game in July. I am trying to decide between the following seats:

451A 452A 453A 454A or 448A. I am wondering about noise such as vents, etc...or view obstruction. Also is there that much of a difference in the view from these areas for those of you who know the park? Any other suggestions would be great.

I have never been to a baseball game before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
