  • Should I rehome my cats?

We have 5 cats. I know that's a lot but we are very much a cat family. Three were ours originally, then two we adopted because our neighbour moved and abandoned them, one of which was pregnant (she hadnt been spayed and she was pregnant when we took her in). We mananged to re home the kitten but we have a baby on the way and really cannot afford caring for five cats and a baby. As much as I love them very much, I am thinking of giving away the two that were not originally ours. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?

  • When should you use a support bandage?

I have arthritis and at the minute my wrist is pretty weak. It's not swollen or anything but it hurts when I flex and bend it and when I pick up heavy things. Should I put a support bandage on it?

  • What's your opinion on bleached blonde hair?

For about a year now I've had bleached blonde/silver hair and am considering going back to my natural colour of a medium blonde.

Just wondering what people's opinion on bleach blonde hair is? Do you think it's tacky or what?

  • How to prove to my mum I've not got an eating disorder?

I recently started taking some prescribed pills that I have to take daily, and I've noticed that I've had little appetite since starting them. I checked online and one of the side effects is loss of appetite. I have been eating a lot less - I mean I do still eat breakfast and dinner but I've stopped eating out of boredom or just general in the middle of the day. It's just like I don't feel hungry so I sort of forget to eat.

But now my mum thinks I've got an eating disorder or something because im not eating as much. I've explained to her about the tablets but she's being stubborn. I don't want her to think im starving myself when im not. I've not even lost any weight, for the past month I've been hovering around the same weight. Big meals make me feel sick as well so it's making her think im trying to put off eating when I'm genuinely not

  • I need a job but no experience?

I am a full time student with little experience so really I'd just be wanting a weekend job. What I want to know is what kind of places should I look into? Supermarkets and shops? How would I go about asking for a job? Who would I talk to and what would I say? Thanks.

  • Worried about bad ankle/foot?

I have arthritis so joint pain is something im used to. However after recent treatment my ankle is still causing me trouble, it isn't swollen and doesn't hurt, but the ankle is very weak. I keep losing my balance on it or rolling/twisting it which causes a lot of pain. I can't remember doing anything to hurt or damage it. My friend suggested going for an xray, but surely I'd know if I'd done something to the bone because like I said, it doesn't hurt, it's just weak and prone to twisting. I'VE ALSO JUST FOUND THAT I CAN'T POINT/SCRUNCH UP MY TOES ON THAT FOOT AND IT'S FREAKING ME OUT! Shall I just go to a doctor or is this somewhat normal?

  • How do cats communicate?

I've got four cats. Recently I was told that cats only meow vocally to humans to "talk" to them, and that to communicate with other cats its mainly non vocal. But they also do that cute chirrup meow/pur too, they do it me and at each other... so how do they communicate? Is cat-cat talking different to cat-human talking?

  • What do you study/do on a beauty therapy course?

Long story short, my exams results went terribly and I've just applied to a Beauty Therapy college course as it was just about the only thing that interested me.

What I want to know is, what do you actually learn? Besides what's listed on the college website - hair cutting and colouring and basic stuff... I've applied for level 2, if that makes a difference (I was advised that 2 would be better for me)

  • Ways to learn about China without visiting?

In a nutshell, I want to go to uni to learn and study Mandarin Chinese so I thought it would be a good idea to teach myself the basics first and get to know the culture and traditions.

Since I am only 17 and not a loaded heiress I can't afford a trip to China so I was wondering if there were any books (translated to english), films, music artists, anything that I can read or use to get to know the Chinese culture better. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

  • Sore legs after squats?

I've not worked out for about 2 months and yesterday I stupidly went and did about 100 squats which is quite a lot for me.

Anyway, as expected, I'm really sore today, to the extent that i can't walk downstairs properly or sit down properly, haha.

Can anyone recommend anything to ease the pain? I heard stretching was good?

I'll let my body recover for a few days before squatting again!

  • Is it alright for tall women to wear heels?

I'm 5'8" - 174cm, and I love heels but always get self concsious when I wear them. I wear mid heels mostly, 2-3 inch heels. If you saw a woman wearing heels which made her super tall, what would you think? Confident or too tall and uncomfortable?

I would love to wear a lot of nice heels this summer, but apparently I care about other peoples opinions too much, hench thkmis question, ha.

  • After I wake up I sweat and become hot?

I'm 17, generally fit and healthy but I do have arthritis which is being managed. I wake up fine, I don't wake up in a sweat, however a minute or two after actually waking up I get all hot like I'm having a hot flush and begin to sweat. Doesn't stop until I get up and out of bed. My bedroom isn't overly warm in the morning and I wear little to bed with a thin duvet. What could be the problem?

  • Do pregnancy hormones make a woman bitchy?

My mum is about 3 months pregnant and is being a total ***** to my brother and I. Shouting at us for the insignificant things, always snapping and responding aggressively - I asked her what the time was and she yelled at me for being lazy and not checking myself... I mean sure a mum is gonna get mad at her kids sometimes, but not for no reason. Is this because of her prengancy hormones?

  • How long does it take to see the effects of running.?

So basically, I've been eating less but healthier for the past year and have slowly managed to drop 13lbs.

I want to get down to my goal weight of 130 by summer, if possible, so I've decided that I'm just going to suck it up and go running.

As I'm a beginner and frankly awful at running and exercise, I was going to begin with running twice a week and increase when I improve.

If I were to do this, how many weeks ROUGHLY would it take for my body to become leaner and toned? Thanks!

I weigh around 143lbs right now, and want to get to 130~lbs. I'm 5'8".

  • Walking for exercise?

I need to start exercising to aid weight loss. Im currently losing weight by eating better and cutting calories to 1400. I dont really work out but I walk to and back from college 4 days out of 5, one mile at a brisk pace each way.

I was wondering if I should do some more walking, like for an hour in the evening or after dinner some days. I cant run because i have bad knees. Would extra walking be good?

  • Questions about getting a perm?

My hair is chin/jaw length and always looks a lot nicer and fuller when curled. As it's short I only curl the ends and leave the top 1/3 as it actually is.

I want to get a perm to make it permanently curly, but have some questions. I want to get it done at a salon as I know the DIY ones can go very wrong. Roughly how many pounds would it cost? And also, if I wanted to straighten my hair (with regular straighteners) as a one off for an event, would I be able to do this with my hair permed? Would it damage the curl?
