  • Fired for changing availability?

    Hi everyone. Currently my employer thinks it is reasonable to schedule me (and many others) 14 hours a week. I am a full-time student and my bills exceed the money I will make from working this many hours. A previous employer is hiring for the weekend team (strictly 16 hours) which still wouldn't be enough. My question is, if I am hired for that position, can I change my availability at my other job to exclude Saturday and Sunday without consequence? I'd anticipate getting even less hours, but even 8 would bring me to a total of 24, which is really what I need in order to make ends meet.

    Thanks.

  • Java programming question?

    Wondering if anyone can help...trying to add a boolean method to my program.

    Basically, if someone takes a box from a shelf, the method returns true while the method for being on the shelf changes to false. if the box is not on the shelf, then takebox returns false.

    However, i can only get this to return false for both for some reason.

    public boolean takeBox()

    {

    if(isOnShelf == true)

    return true && (isOnShelf = false);

    else {

    if (isOnShelf == false);

    return false;

    }

    I'm a complete newbie but this has had me scratching my head for an hour now.... any tips?

  • wth happened to my guitar?

    Hey, I have an acoustic guitar and the bridge part I think it's called at the end of the body of the guitar is now upraised a little bit instead of being flat..it seems like the tension of the strings did it but they should've snapped before that happened but it still doesn't make sense since my guitar is always tuned correctly...is there any way to fix this?

  • Playing DS online (manual set-up)?

    ~OK this is what I've done..

    ~I entered in the same info as my PS2 (Gateway, Subnet Mask, and I gave it it's own IP). I also created a WEP and entered the key-I'm sure this worked since it came up must sign in on my brother's PC and when he signed in it connected him to the internet.

    As for the DNS, both are the same as the IP..this could be the problem. I'm getting error code 51099. Please help!

  • Guitar hero 2, green button not working ..X-plorer controller?

    For some reason, the guitar's green button isn't working. They are wired controllers and I know the red button works and the start does as well as the strum bar, just not the green button. This is on the 360, how can I fix it?

  • Guitar Hero Controller-360-Green button broke?

    My brother has this controller and GH2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhoran/444968677/

    He sent his 360 in for repair and just got it back after a few weeks. Now after doing one song BOTH controllers won't work as far as the green button goes. It doesn't do anything when he pushes it. Does anyone know why and how this can be fixed? He's hardly used it since he got it in Christmas as he sent the 360 in just after he got guitar hero 2. His wii controller for gh3 is fine as are my ps2 controllers. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • Ps2 online with mini ps2?

    I've had a big ps2 and a mini one for a few years, but didn't understand what it meant to be pre-setup with online as the mini version claims to be. My friend says he takes his ethernet cord and plugs it into the ps2 to get online but although this got me into it, it wouldnt connect to play with other people. Should I get an adapter and what do they cost/where would i get one?

    I know ps2 is obsolete but I'm not getting a ps3 due to the lack of games and price and the popularity of ps2. Madden 09 will probably still come out for ps2 anyway. Thanks.

  • Hot-neutral reversed outlet?

    In home-repair class, we're building "walls" using 4 studs and 2 2x2s. 3 boxes are mounted on the studs and right now it goes switch, outlet, lightbulb. We have two white wires connected with a yellow wire nut, a pigtail in a red wire nut, a bare wire in a green wire nut, and the end of the pigtail and another black wire connected to the switch as well as the bare wire. The outlet is just the black,white, and bare wires hooked to the screws, same with the light bulb. The tester showed that and the light didn't work since the outlet didn't and we don't know the problem. Could it have to do with too much casing taken off the wires connected to the outlet? All the wires are in white casing but the first one has a yellow plug on the end and they go through the holes in the stud to get to the next box.

  • Chances of Zabransky signing with another team?

    Zabransky was recently cut by the Houston Texans and as a Boise State fan I'm disapointed. He's underrated and is featured on the NCAA 08 cover. Will he get another chance elsewhere?

  • How to write the equation of a line given the slope and Y-intercept?

    I'm not sure how to do this so an explanation would be helpful, but the slope is -4 and the y-intercept is 2. So the answer would be nice, but if you could explain how to solve the problem that would be great :)
