Does anyone know the name of this website (re TV shows and advertisements)?
I used to belong to a site where you earn points by answering questions about the TV shows, movies, commercials, etc. you watched the night before... does anyone know the name of the site?
1 AnswerInternet1 decade agoCan anyone recommend a really good & really scary role-playing game?
I'm looking for a game without a ton of combat... something similar to Clocktower for PS & PS2 or Alone in the Dark for PC. Any recommendations for online games or games for PS2, XBOX, or PC would be appreciated, but please, nothing with aliens.

Does it mean that there is a 40% chance that it will be raining at any given time or a 40% chance that it will rain at all?

3 AnswersWeather1 decade agoA ridiculously vague question about a recent horror movie...?
I recently saw a preview for a decent looking killer-in-the-woods type horror movie on a movie I rented (I can't remember what that one was, either). All I can remember is that it had the same title as another slightly less recent horror movie with a completely different plot. The years were something like 2004 and 2006, and the title is one or two words, either [Something] or The [Something]. I'm also thinking that the title starts with a letter in the N-T range. I know this is vague, but it's been driving me crazy.

I would like to spend less than $400, but picture quality is my main concern.

What is the difference between supernatural airbrushed canvas (spf 15) and supernatural mineral makeup (spf 15), and which is better for fair, combination skin?
5 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoDoes anyone have experience playing airsoft with 6mm paintballs?
What kind of protective gear is needed, and does it hurt? I need something that can be fired at close range and/or at someone's head without causing injury, and I've heard it's safer (well, less painful) than paintball. I have no experience with airsoft--any information would help.
2 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoIs there anything that is similar to paintball but not as painful?
I'm looking for something that would allow participants to take shots at close range and/or to the head without any injury and with minimal protective gear, and that will leave a "mark" to show who has been hit. Yes, I know it sounds stupid, but does anyone have any ideas?
3 AnswersOther - Games & Recreation1 decade agoHow does one go about opening a "haunted" attraction?
I've volunteered at a couple of different charity haunted attractions in the past, but to be honest, the places around here are quite lame (they are much more fun to work at than they are to visit). Does anyone know from experience what I'd need to do to open a haunted something of my own?

11 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoHow does anyone ever know for sure that his is the one true religion?
There are about 3.5 billion people worshipping the same God in a dozen divisions and hundreds of denominations of three major world religions and a couple of minor ones. I can understand the argument that the 45% of the world's population who DON'T worship this particular God will not be allowed into heaven, but why would He discriminate against any of the 55% who DO?
35 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHas anyone read Stephen King's "The Shining"?
I have never been able to read the book (for weird personal reasons), but I have seen both the movie and the mini-series. The ending of each is so drastically different that it makes me wonder: How does the novel end?

It is generally believed by Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam, Christianity) that man is the only animal on Earth with an immortal soul (please correct me if I'm wrong). If billions upon billions of other creatures are allowed to live and die with neither salvation nor comdemnation, why is it so hard to believe that there is any other purpose for humans than to live, multiply, and die?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHave you every noticed that the girls in their teens and early 20s who have a "pregnancy scare" every month...
... usually end up pregnant within the year? I have known several dozens who are in a constant state of "worry," even when they have no symptoms and the test results are negative. I guess my question is... If they are always so worried about getting pregnant and experience so many "pregnancy scares," wouldn't they try a little harder to NOT get pregnant? I know that some pregnancies produce no immediate symptoms and that the tests aren't 100% accurate, but I'm talking specifically about the girls that think they are pregnant every time they have sex.
7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhy do people no longer question the things they are told to believe?
I mean, some people will listen to the media, to their pastors, to superstitions and old wives' tales, and they never question any of it. Why does no one make an effort to find out for himself any more, and how can he insist that he's right if he doesn't have all of the facts? Weren't most of the world's greatest discoveries made by people who went beyond or even against conventional wisdom and popular belief?
