Help identifying the location of a leak in a block wall.?
I have a cinder block wall. Block is two cell 16x8x8. Outside is stucco and has been painted. The wall is 24' by 10' and is the side wall for the garage. on top of the wall is the 1st floor of the home and is frame with red brick exterior. Above is the roof peak which is vinyl siding. The siding has been replaced by a professional. The leak existed before the new siding as well. Most times when it rains there is no issue, however when the rain hits that wall directly, i get moisture in my garage but only in a certain area about a foot wide. This is not condensation. as it only happens when it rains and then only when it hits that wall.
Can anyone provide any tips on the best way to identify the leak? What kind of professional would be best to call?
Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs5 years agoHow can i tell what is bogging down my computer?
Windows Vista Enterprise. Stuck with it.
For no apparent reason, the computer bogs down to the point where it takes 30 seconds for a window to come up or an action to complete (mouse click). If i reboot and open all the same apps it will work fine for hours and then back to being bogged down with no definable trigger.
If i start the task manager, my processor utilization never goes above 20% and i am using less than 1 gb of ram and i have 2gb installed. I think the task manager is not a true representation of what is going on. In windows XP you could bring up the task manager and see what was using all your processing power even though it was often an unidentifiable process like svchost. But at least you could see what the culprit was. Can anyone confirm that the VISTA task manager is "hiding" processes.
Now, is there any tool that i could install that would give me a true representation of what is going on, or can anyone explain why my computer is acting like it is being 100% utilized but only showing 20%?
Thanks
5 AnswersSoftware9 years ago1998 ford escort p1443?
I have a 1998 Ford escort with 140k on it. The check engine light is on and the code is p1443. Most of the postings i find on the internet are for a 1997 escort. My questions are: How similar are the two vehicles? What steps can be taken to troubleshoot the issue? I have replaced the gas cap and PCV valve as recommended solutions i found online. The remaining solutions deal with the purge sensor and leaky hoses but i am not sure if the canister is in the engine compartment or at the gas tank. I want to try and replace as many parts as i can myself prior to taking it to a mechanic so i can at least eliminate some of the troubleshooting.
2 AnswersFord9 years agoThoughts on fingerprint reader time clock security?
My employer has implemented a fingerprint reader as our time clock. I have several concerns and want to get some other opinions. The idea creates and environment of mistrust. The employer is not known for their IT security so what is to stop a hacker from getting that info and or a government agencies from getting the info via a subpoena? The idea of my fingerprint sitting in a database makes me uneasy. Lets say someone steals something from the office...why not check fingerprints against all the ones in the database?? there are all ready there.
any other thoughts?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago99 Jeep Wrangler Blower motor not working?
I have a 99 Jeep wrangelr. 4cyl no A/C. The blower motor does not come on with any setting?
I have removed the blower and hooked it up to the battetry and it spins smoothly.
Using a Multimeter. I also have 12volts at the connection that plugs into the motor when the Dash switch is on and in any position.
I have ready about a recall for this year where the ground wire needs reconnected but i am unsure which wire this is.
Anyone know which wire is the ground wire for this recall? Any Ideas why i have 12 volts at the motor but it doesnt spin? Its seems to me that if the ground is not making a good connection the AMPS may not be sufficient for the motor to spin but i cant figure out a way to test this theory. Could a bad resistor Pack also cause this?
Thoughts?
