Boyfriend going to university, long distance relationship?
My boyfriend who is a year older than me is going to university next month, and I was wondering for any stories about previous experiences with relationships like this? We've been together over 18 months now and breaking up is not an option really.
What are relationships like this really like? I understand it'll be hard, but do you find it makes you enjoy spending time with them more or is it just too much to handle?
I'm pretty depressed right now, we have less than a month left together and I just can't see how I'm going to cope at all without him being here. He's more than just a boyfriend, he's my best friend too :(
8 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoSand stuck in phone earpiece (the bit you listen through)?
There is sand stuck in the earpiece, like deep in, and now any one speaking sounds really muffly and inaudible. Is there anything I can do to get it out?
I doubt you can open it up, the screws are so tiny....
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans10 years agoLarge lump down below?
I have a large lump near my vagina, but a tad to the left in the more 'fatty' area. It started off quite hard, but has now become a bit more softer. It really hurts if I touch it now though. It's about the size of a small grape?
Any ideas what it could be?
2 AnswersWomen's Health10 years agoPCOS scan, what to expect?
Next week I'm having an transabdominal pelvic scan to look for polycystic ovaries. On the letter I received today, it said I would need to drink 1 litre of water prior to the scan so it is full for them to ultrasound on; however it also said I would require an internal scan with a probe.
Has anyone had either of these done, how was it etc?

My orange San Francisco has suddenly stopped vibrating on recieving texts. It is on the right profile to do so, I have tried re setting everything, taking the battery/sim out etc. Any ideas?
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans10 years agoPolycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) - tiredness?
Is tiredness a symptom of PCOS? I constantly feel quite tired - there is rarely a moment when I feel genuinely awake and full of energy; I'd much rather be curling up somewhere asleep. I am only 16, yet afternoon naps are becoming quite a common thing.
Also, are things like lacking in motivation and enthusiasm (and somewhat being depressed) symptoms too?
3 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoSkin rubbed off heel - how long will it take to heal?
A week ago I wore some shoes that rubbed at the back of my heel; I didn't get a blister but the skin was completely rubbed off and became very sore and red raw. The wound is about the size of a 1p coin.
I have cleaned the wound every day since with antiseptic, and dressed it with various dressings, plasters, blister plasters etc - however it still hasn't healed much, and yesterday it bled a little. How long would a wound like this usually take to heal, and am I doing anything wrong?
First Aid1 decade agoMolecular formular - Na₂CO₃?
Sodium carbonate for example, I would have said it is NaCO₃, when it is in fact Na₂CO₃..
How would I know it was Na₂, rather than "just learning it" ?
Thanks

7 AnswersCycling1 decade agoFemale cat suddenly started peeing in the house?
We have had a female and male cat for the past three years, and we quickly trained them both to go to the toilet outside - so we were able to get rid of the litter box. But recently in the evenings, my female cat has been acting suspicious and abnormal, and is trying to get to different places in the house to pee. What could be causing this?
The only noticeable thing we can note is that there appears to be a lot of male cats hanging around our garden constantly - could this be stressing her out? But why only in the evening..
8 AnswersCats1 decade agoToothache and headache? Wisdom teeth maybe?
I woke up this morning with a terrible headache on the right side of my head, where my temples are, and also a toothache around the general right side of my jaw. My parents suggested it could be my wisdom teeth coming through, as previous x-rays have shown that they were growing, however the pain in my teeth was not around the back of my jaw, but more to the front-right. Could this be my wisdom teeth coming through? If not, does anyone have any other suggestions of what it could be? Thanks
2 AnswersDental1 decade agoLate period every month?
I have been menstruating for roughly 5 years now, so I wouldn't expect my period to be too irregular. In the past, it has settled out well and came roughly the same time each month, however for the past 3/4 months, it has been getting a bit later each month. It started off at like 30, then 36, then 42 (days) and now it has been somewhere to 50 days.
Has anyone else experienced this before, and if so what do you do, and what do you reccomend I do?
Thanks :)

8 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoHair serum to apply after drying?
My hairdresser told me to get some serum to apply after drying my hair, however all the ones I have seen in shops say apply to wet hair. Can they still be used for dry hair? And if so, could you recommend any for me that aren't too pricey?
Thanks :)
1 AnswerHair1 decade agoMy period is later every month?
I've had my period for about 5 years now, and at first it was quite irregular, then it steadied itself out and came around the same time each month; but lately it seems to be getting later every month, by a few days. January was the 11th, February was the 14th, March the 17th, and I'm still awaiting this one. Any explanations?
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoBon Jovi's new album, buy or not buy ?
I really like 'We weren't born to follow' and 'Superman tonight' - so if anyone has the album or has heard of other songs, do you reckon it's worth buying? Thanks :)
7 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoLoft hatch opens with wind?
I have a loft hatch above the boiler in my room - which is not the main loft opening - and when it's a really windy night, the hatch flaps open and close which is understandably really quite scary. There is no way to get to that part of the loft through the main attic, so is there anything i can do to stop it opening? We tried sliding something on top of it, then pulling it back over but that hasn't seemed to work. Any suggestions? :)
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoNeed advise on buying a new camera - not very experienced?
All I've had up to this stage is a pretty crap 5MP digital camera, and I really want something much better. I don't know anything about cameras - so I need a lot of help. To take good quality photographs - and I mean like, really good quality - with much more effects than a simple digital camera. I know there are those more bulky kind of cameras (this is how little i know, sorry!) but what do they do different to a digital? And what would you recommend for me? Obviously something not too complicated or too expensive, but something pretty decent? Thanks a lot :)
Any links you can send too would also be good.
