If we had a "Climate Crunch" what would your quick fix be?
i.e. if we did nothing about a "bad debt" of atmospheric CO2 from our fossil fuel burning until finally the global temperatures went up so much that humanity had to do something - what would you do to cool the earth?
Unlike the credit crunch we wouldn't be able to throw money at the sky and hope the problem goes away. We'll probably need some weird and wonderful technology. Some ideas might be - add particles to reflect sunlight, or install space sunshades. But have you any other ideas?

3 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoGlobal Warming Septics - Please Explain?
Why do people think that current predictions of climate change is natural? Ice core data clearly shows temperature is linked to carbon dioxide concentrations:
http://www.noe21.org/dvd2/Global%20Warming%20FAQ%2...
Ice age maximums occur with 170 part per million (ppm) CO2. Interglacial maximums (warm periods) occur with 270ppm. We have been coming out of an ice-age for the past 10,000 years and we would expect CO2 to be ~270ppm. We have increased the global carbon dioxide to 378ppm in the past 200years. So my questions are:
"How do you explain the extra CO2 if not due to humans?" and "How confident are you that temperature will not rise significantly in response to the largest CO2 concentration in the past 400,000 years?"
15 AnswersEnvironment1 decade agoIf Jesus came down to earth today would he be crucified?
For example, I can't see Jesus standing next to the Pope as he tries on another bejewelled hat ("maybe give the money to the poor" he might say), or behind Bush when advocating fighting for 'peace', or on the side of capatilisim, or anything (e.g. cars/indusry) that causes environmental degredation of the planet. I see his name pretty much used to support a world that he fought so I suspect he would be toast if he came down again? Waddya reckon?
