I have six months left on my contract and I am considering cancelling after the end of this month since I already paid my bill for the current cycle. I know that the cancellation fee is $17.50 for each month left on the contract, so I would have to pay $87.50 in cancellation fees for the 5 months that I am cancelling. My question is, if I return all the equipment on time, am I only responsible for the cancellation fee? Is $87.50 the total amount I have to pay to end my contract or will I have to pay something else on top of that? Thanks.

I wanted to install satellite tv in my bedroom, but I don't think I have a cable outlet in the room. Note that I live in an apartment and there is a cable outlet in my living room. In my room though, there is a cover over an outlet that has a single cable/wire on the inside, but the wire has been cut. I'm not sure if that's the cable outlet because it's like 5 ft above the ground next to my door. Does anyone have an idea whether this outlet is the cable outlet? If it isn't a cable outlet, how would a technician go about installing a cable outlet in my room if I don't have one? Would they have to drill a hole in the wall? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm living with two other housemates and we split the electric bill 3-way. But I'm currently living back at my parents' house for the summer and have only been to my apartment for 2 days out of the billing month. Would it be fair for me to have to pay for the whole month? My share isn't that expensive, but it'd be nice to save that money.

I'm a slightly older college student with no job experience and wanted to find a job just so I can have some kind of experience. But my older cousin keeps pressuring me to find a job related in my field when I have no idea what I want to even do after I graduate. I know finding a job that is related to my major is really helpful, but my cousin keeps telling me to find a job that requires some kind of job experience and I have none. I know I should have job experience by now but the fact is, I don't and I think any work experience is better than none. Should I be following my cousin's mindset or should I follow mine and look for any work experience I can get?

I'm trying to rent out a room and the only living arrangement that is even remotely close to what I'm looking for is with a female who is twice my age. I'm 24 and she's apparently 40-50 years old. She only speaks Mandarin Chinese and I happen to speak Mandarin too. But it feels like I'd be living with my mom because my mom is around her age. Hi, I had a Samsung Solstice and the screen had been fizzing before it finally just stopped working all together. It seemed like I could turn the phone on, but the screen just remained black. I then upgraded to a new phone, and my old Solstice mysteriously starts working again. Could this be a SIM card problem then? Thanks.

I don't know if he talked to anyone, but suddenly he isn't happy with his job and just quit on a whim. He went out for a drive last night from 1-4am for some reason that I don't know. He's been acting like a huge b*tch and keeps telling us that from now on he will make his own food and wash his own clothes and whatever when he's never made his own meal or washed his own clothes once in his lifetime.

The only problem is that it's hard to tell if he's going through a mid-life crisis or not. He's always been snappish and he's always acted like a baby and a brat. My grandma always gave him what he wanted when he was younger, so that pretty much explains his attitude. He works for his older sister and they fought about something that made him act like this, but I'm completely sure that he started it first. So I really don't know. Do you think he's going through a mid-life crisis or something else? Thanks.

Has anyone ever heard of a car insurance company telling a customer that they'll add the name of the driver to their insurance policy after the driver gets into an accident? Like the driver drives without insurance and only after they get into an accident that the insurance company will add them to the policy. I was told this by someone and they insist that this is how car insurance works. I always thought you should get insurance before you drive. Sarcasm by the way, I actually do have car insurance and was completely flabbergasted when I heard this.

My friend got into a minor car accident on the freeway during rush hour. She was driving in her lane when another car merged into her lane in front of her at about 2 cars distance, which I think was at an unsafe distance. The other car had to quickly stop because of traffic and my friend was unable to stop in time and hit that person's bumper. Whose fault would this be at? Would it be my friend's fault because she hit the other car or would it be the other person's fault for merging at an unsafe distance? She was not speeding either. Thanks.

Hi, the Giants vs. Dodgers series happen to fall on opening day weekend this year, and I happen to be in LA during that week for spring break. I'm trying to find tickets for the 3rd game in the series but I'm in a bit of a dilemna. I want to find good, affordable tickets but I also want to sit as close as possible for better security. I'm a Giants fan so I'll be in the minority and a lot of Dodgers fans take the rivalry too seriously, and I don't want any trouble. I had to use spray paint for a project, and was around the fumes for maybe 10-15 minutes. I did leave the area several times so I could get some fresh air. I also aired out the area after I was finished. Is it ok to be around the fumes for that long? Will it affect my healh in any way? Thanks.

Hi, this is my first time using hydrogen peroxide to get rid of tonsil stones. I have the 3% peroxide, and I diluted it with the 50/50 method, half peroxide and half water. My mouth tasted terrible after spitting out the solution. Is that normal with gargling with hydrogen peroxide? Is it also ok to swallow after rinsing my mouth out with water? Thanks.

Hi, I got a hot water burn last Sunday, and I went to the doctor on Monday and he prescribed me Silvadene to treat the burn. I've been putting on the cream twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. When I reapply the cream at night though, I notice that the cream I put on in the morning has dried up into pieces. My question is, do I leave the dried cream on and put on a new layer of cream over it or should I clean off the pieces and then put more cream on it? Just a note, when I clean off a few pieces of the dried up cream, I see that my skin is slightly raw and red. Thanks.

I knocked over my food which spilled hot water on the upper part of my thigh. I ran my thigh under cold water and put a cold towel on it for 15 minutes, and I put a Chinese burn cream on it. I also have a blister about the size of a pea, and 4 or 5 smaller blisters about half the size of a pea. The burn is pretty big, about 7 inches long, but I cannot go to a doctor right now. I also took Advil for the pain. Is there anything I can do to make the healing process faster? About how long will my burn take to heal? Thanks.
