I'm looking to add some interesting new bands to my mp3 collection. What song(s) on your list were ones that you didn't think you'd like? Which don't fit your normal style? I'm open to most music types, and just curious what odd songs people like :)

We've been invited to the wedding of a high school friend of my boyfriends, whom we don't see more than three or four times a year. This is also his second wedding, and we did attend and bring a gift to the first. I plan on getting something from their registry, but since the amount you spend on a registry gift isn't exactly a secret, I don't want to offend. What price range should I aim for?

I have seasonal allergies, and there are several things that really get my eyes burning and itchy. I have some over-the-counter drops that I use, but they prevent me from wearing my contacts, and aren't a perfect fix. Does anyone use anything they would really recommend?

Does anyone use a flat iron they really like? I have thick hair, and need something easy to use, preferably that could be used on wet or dry hair. So far I haven't found any that are really easy to use.

I'm attending a wedding Saturday that I want to look really nice for because I'll be seeing a lot of people for the first time in years and want to impress :) I have mid-back length hair, curly but easy to work with. I want something that's not too tight and leaves a little loose, and that I can do myself (I thought about going to a professional, but I'm going to be out of town and so can't be sure what shop would be quality and reasonably priced and ran out of time to research!)

If it matters, my dress is halter style, knee length. Any ideas are welcome! Thanks!

I just bought a new house and the home inspector recommended a dehumidifier for the basement, which is finished. Does anyone have one they would (or would not) recommend?

I slipped once while trying to cut carrots with a dull knife and sliced the bottom of the palm of my hand. Not only did I have to get stitches, I also had to assure six or seven doctors that it wasn't a failed attempt at suicide, as if I just had really bad aim. Embarassing and painful!

I'm not very superstitious, but it feels like lots of those little things that can go wrong have been going wrong this year. And every time I talk to my friends and family, they seem to have the same thing going on. I'm not complaining, just wondering.

Do you do any of those cliche and annoying things people say men or women always do?

I try to avoid the really annoying girl-habits like asking if outfits make me look fat and saying "I'm fine" when I'm not fine.

But, I do get annoyed when the toilet seat is left up, I do ask him to hold my purse sometimes, I am a little fussy about my shoes, and I do hate it when I break a nail. But really, shoes can be expensive and it takes a long time to trim, file and paint your nails, so I don't feel too badly about those.

What about you?

I work in a hospital, so I have to wash my hands a lot. I have to use the antibacterial soap that the hospital provides, and it dries my skin out completely. Lotion helps, but not a lot since it gets washed off every time. Does anyone know of any lotions that would survive multiple washings or any other tips to help? The skin gets so dry that most lotions actually sting. Any medical professionals have a trick they use?

I've looked through some of those cheesy dream symbol dictionaries, but they all seem outdated. Thanks!
