If you are already in the process of bankruptcy can you still do a short sale on your home? This was the banks idea? Just curious?

We installed a new (used) stove yesterday. It will not work unless our thermostat is turned on and we can only get a very low flame on the burners. How can we fix this? The stove worked fine before and there was no problem with the stove that was conected here before either.

I have plantar faciitis in both heels. I really, really don't want to have surgery and am looking for alternatives. I have tried all traditional treatments and am still in pain.

I have had numerous ankle injuries. One doctor speculated that in an attempt to protect my ankles I have caused my current problem of plantar fasciitis. Is there any relation?

I have had plantar faciitis in both heels for over a year now. It is too the point where it is painful all the time and is interfearing with my life. I stopped running and hesitate to a lot of the cardio things I was doing because it makes it worse. I have gotten cortisone shots several times and they don't last very long before the pain comes back. I've been wearing orthodics for several months now with no improvement. I need to decide quick if we should replace our heater/AC unit. A contractor said he could do it for $1500 for a basic unit. That is all the info I have right now. Our house is approx. 1200 sq feet, two stories and our current unit is at least 10 years old has had problems in the past and currently needs about $500 worth of repairs. I've found that one of the biggest challenges I've had as a parent is dealing with other people's parenting styles. What do you do when you are spending time with another parent and their children and they are pulling their childs hair or ignoring terrible behaivor and making excuses for it?

I may be kicked out of the girls clubhouse for this one but I do not get the point of paying insane amounts of money for something to hold your money. I've heard the argument that these expensive purses last "forever". I have a $10 purse from Walmart that I've had for 20 years and still looks great. I can admire the style for some of them but it would never be worth the price for me. And almost all of them slap their logos all over everything so you are paying $$$ to advertise for this company? I do understand the status thing with them but still think it's ridiculous. And why call it a "bag". It sounds even more ridiculous to pay $800 for a bag than a purse. Please explain.

If you had to oversimplify this complex issue what would be your short version?

Before the first season when I head about Survivor I thought, "now what idiot would watch that?" Turns out an idiot just like me. I've watched every season, the good and the bad even when I've been completely disgusted by who wins this show most of the time. Seems that "the bad guy" wins a lot. Do you think this says something about our society or is it just a show with a lots of girls in skimpy bikinis and great editing?

I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a feel-good show like Extreme Home Makeover. I don't know if I've ever cried at a movie but this show almost always makes me cry. They wouldn't do this show if it didn't make money and the product placement is crazy. How sincere is this show? Is there actually a moral lesson to this show?
