  • Can't log in to Facebook - invalid e-mail?

All of a sudden, starting about a week ago, when I try to log in to Facebook I get an error message saying:

"The email you entered does not belong to any account. You may try clearing your browser's cache and cookies by following these instructions.

You can login using any email, username or mobile phone number associated with your account. Make sure that it is typed correctly."

Now... I haven't changed anything. I've had the same e-mail address for about 5 years and I still use it. I didn't change anything on facebook either. The error message said I can log in using a mobile phone number associated with my account, but that doesn't work either. I get the same error message (but obviously with e-mail replaced with mobile phone).

I went to the Facebook help page and went through the help for "I can’t remember which email address I use to log in to Facebook." It suggests having a friend look at your profile (which mine is still visible to my friends), going to your contact info and seeing what e-mail address is listed. So I logged into my wife's account to check, and there is no e-mail listed.

At the bottom of the help thing there is a link that says "if this doesn't help, click here" So I clicked it. It asks for some information... your e-mail, name, date of birth, etc. A few hours later I got an e-mail from facebook saying all I had to do was reply to the e-mail; so I did. A few more hours later I get another e-mail saying that to verify my identity I needed to provide my time of birth (which is an odd question... how would they even know?). I responded with 3:27pm, because that's when I was born. Nothing has happened since then, and that has been a week ago.

I don't care about any of the games or anything on facebook, but I actually use the facebook chat a lot. More of my friends have that than have AIM or another IM client.

  • When do you get personal business done when you work full time?

I got in trouble by my manager a couple days ago for making personal calls (on my cell phone, not office phone) during office hours. I understand that they have a right to not let me do that, but its not like I spend all day on the phone, and I don't make calls every single day.

They have told me before that its ok if I do this, but when my supervisor got onto me, she said I was taking advantage of this privilege and that if it continued then the privilege might be taken away. I recently was in the process of buying a house, so I had to talk to lenders, real estate agents, and my wife. So I probably have been making more calls than normal, but I always make sure to do it during my lunch break. That's been over with by about a month though.

I just don't understand how I'm expected to ever take care of personal business if I don't do it at work during my lunch break. I work from 8 - 5, and most of the places I would need to call are only open from 8 - 5 as well, so its not like I can call when I get home.

I'd also like to add that I just graduated from college a year ago and this is my first job in the real world, so I don't have any prior experience in this issue.

  • Should you warn a random girl if her clothes are see through?

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I was driving down the interstate to go to my parent house. Its a lengthy drive, and I got off an exit around noon and stopped at McDonalds for lunch. I went inside to order. It wasn't very busy at all, and there was only 1 family inside and they were ordering. It was a mom, dad, and their 2 daughters. One looked about 14 or 15 and the other one was like 10.

Both the girls were wearing pajama tops and bottoms, and I was standing back a little ways to give them privacy since there was room and so I could look at the menu to decide what I wanted to order. Thats when the 14 year old girl spread her legs about 3 or 4 tile lengths apart (I guess the tiles were 1ft by 1ft), and leaned over to rest her forearms on the counter. When she did this though, it stretched her pajama pants tight and they became very see through, and it also became extremely obvious she was not wearing any underwear.

I'm 100% certain she had no idea she was putting herself on display like that. I wanted to tap her on the shoulder and very quietly tell her what she was doing. I probably would have if it had just been her and her sister and the parents had stayed in the car. What I was actually worried about was the dad hitting me or calling the cops on me for sexual harassment or something.

So I'm asking the guys, would you have told her? And girls, if you were in that situation, would you want some random guy to tell you about it?

  • How hard is a ceiling fan to install?

The title pretty much says it all. I just recently bought a new house, and I love it. There is no ceiling fan in the bedroom though and I'm much more sensitive to no air flow than my wife. Shes fine. Now that its getting cooler we're running the heater obviously, and when I go to bed I feel like the heat is suffocating me. I think a ceiling fan in the bedroom would help a lot.

I have no experience with anything like this at all. I do know that there is a wire already run for a ceiling fan because we have a wall switch for a fan that does nothing at the moment. My main worries are ruining my ceiling and electrocuting myself. I don't know what sort of tools I will need either. I don't own very many tools.

  • My cat scratches only things that it shouldn't!?

She was found outside when I lived in some apartments. I think her owners moved and left her. The vet thinks shes about 10 years old. I've had her for about 2 years now.

The problem is she wont scratch anything we get her to scratch. Our other cat (shes about 1.5 years old) will scratch these things fine, but not the older one. We first got one of those toys with the ball that spins around the track and the middle was that cardboard stuff for them to scratch. We have a thing that hangs for a door knob that is for scratching. We also have a cat tree that has some columns they can scratch. Some have carpet and some have rope on them. Both cats use the tree, but only the younger one will scratch it.

She will claw the carpet and the arms of the sofa, but we can't get her to scratch the things we give them specifically to scratch.
