my tattoo artist put plastic over my tattoo and told me to leave it on until it falls off, but the internet is telling me that’s bad and i should take it off RIGHT NOW because the plastic is suffocating the tattoo, apparently. does anybody have a definitive answer for me?

I'm 17 going on 30 (ready: far too mature for my own good) and I've been set on a tattoo design for about two years so, no, this is not a whim, and, yes, I know what I'm getting myself into. I want to get my tattoo before I leave for Spain in August and I don't turn 18 until November. I want my tattoo! But a lot of inks aren't vegan. Any suggestions?

I want to visit a friend at college and I can't figure out what buses go up there. Grrr.

I'm a photographer, and I'd love to experiment with older cameras. The look of Diane's work, and the work of her daughter, Amy, is extremely appealing. Does anybody know what cameras were used?

I have a five-month-old Macbook Pro and, about a week ago, I tried to open iPhoto when I received a message saying:

"Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable

Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup."

And then it quits.

I'm a photographer, and this is the absolute worst thing that has happened to me. I intend to go to Mac support later this week, but I thought I'd try the public first. Has this happened to anyone? Is my Library gone? (My PhotoBooth pictures were wiped, too.) Please help!

As co-president of my school's GSA, we're preparing to host the Day of Silence in April (www.dayofsilence.org). I'd like to participate in the ritual putting-duct-tape-over-one's-mouth, but I last year painfully found out that I'm allergic to the glue used on duct tape. Do you know of any tapes such as duct tape (i.e., not Scotch tape, packing tape) that DO NOT use duct tape glue?

I'm not looking for something so I can take my camera underwater. I just want to make sure that when I'm hiking/canoing/boating/skiing/doing all these fun things that my camera is SAFE. I can't afford repairs or a new camera!

Please no general answers, like Yahoo! Shopping, Walmart, Circuit City, etc. I want brand names!

I'm turning fifteen in November, have been menstruating since December 2004 (which makes it three years in December, for those of you who have difficulty with numbers), and haven't gotten my period since June. Should I be concerned?

I have a four-year-old Australian cattle dog (short coat). We knew what we were getting into when we adopted her, and we accept that she will always shed. I've heard the FURminator works amazingly well; I've heard it's not worth the money. I've also heard that changing her diet (we now feed her Purina Dog Chow) can help and that bathing her with a deshedding shampoo works wonders. Does anybody have any suggestions, products that they can recommend through experience?

Before I became vegan, I bought a pair of Harley Davidson boots in NYC (see a picture here: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/20866798/c/6.html). I love them and have so many ways to wear them - but I refuse to wear animal skin. I'm looking for a similar pair (I love the style), but cruelty-free. Any suggestions?

I'm a high school student hoping on making a career in photography. I've never used an SLR camera before and am looking for an easy step up. I'd prefer a megapixel above 7.0 and a price below $900. Can anybody recommend me a camera that will last me for years as my skills advance?

I was cleaning up my four-year-old female cattle dog's feces in the backyard when one of them broke open. The inside was bright yellow and it smelled horrible. I know this isn't normal, but I can't afford to go to a vet if nothing's wrong. Please help!
