  • I have a funeral slideshow to share online , it contains 3 copyrighted songs. I don't want them removed. whats the best way to share it?

I thought of a private video through youtube, but I understand the audio can still be removed by the robots.

I thought of a video hosted on google drive for download, this seems to be best option so far.. but i still hear rumors about the robots

I can't email because its 10 minutes long and I don't want quality reduced to less than 10mb. or whatever maximum file size of most emails are now...I want people to see and hear the video well.

    any suggestions? thank you

  • Can medicinal skin creams and moisturizers cause your thyroid levels to go up?

I have an underactive thyroid, i m on synthroid, my TSH levels went to 9.10 (the range is 0.323 - 5.04). Its since gone down to 6.87 which is still high. The previous 5 years I was smack dab in the middle of the range. Other than recently quitting my gluten free diet, the only other possible cause are the products I was rubbing into my skin for 3 months to get rid of winter eczema...my skin absorbed a lot of product , but all over the counter stuff...Eucerin eczema relief skin cream, and Eucerin Aquafor and hydrocortizone are the strongest things i used, i thought maybe one of the ingredients were responsible.

  • my floor protector did not protect my floor, office chair still scratched laminate through it, how?

lifted up my floor protector to clean it and the laminate under it and found that the laminate had scratches around the perimeter of the floor protector as well as 2 good gouges..gonna try to fix it, but might lose my damage deposit, guess i gotta buy a small carpet to put between the floor and my "protector".

  • My thyroid TSH has spiked, can getting off of a gluten free diet be responsilbe?

I have an underactive thyroid and have been on the same synthroid dosage for years and years, but my last blood test my TSH has spiked by quite a bit. I m at 9.10 and I was at 4.0 or so 6 months ago.

The only thing that has changed in that time is i ve abandoned my gluten free diet. I do remember when I started my gluten free diet five years ago that my doctor mentioned an odd change in my numbers too, I wonder if its an explanation.

another possibility is that I had the flu when I had my last blood test and maybe that or the flu meds I was taking affected things..

  • My cars engine is squeaking, sounds like a shopping cart wheel , what could it be?

I drive a 2005 chevy cobalt lt 2.2l, I thought it was my serpentine belt because it was coming from the lower passenger section of the motor , so I had that, and my tensioner and my idler pulley replaced....I still hear it though occasionally, I think the pitch is slightly different but maybe not. Its usually only present on cold starts and only for a few minutes..I got my mechanic to drive with me but it didn't show itself that time. I know there are other smaller pulleys in the system, he assures me he tested them and that the tension level is correct. can this be a "new" belt sound? ..just working itself in?. I wonder if one of the smaller pulleys is about to fail or maybe something with the water pump? I think it might be happening less frequently , not sure...

  • my car makes a squeaking noise sometimes when I accelerate, do I need a new serpentine belt?

it doesn't happen all the time, but when i start my car and start driving , i'll hear some squeaking, if I drive faster, it'll squeak faster, but if I take my foot off the accelerator it goes away. I'm inclined to think its my belt, but if it is wouldn't it be making this noise whether my foot was on the gas or not?

  • Do my blood tests show any real diabetic concerns?

a few years ago , I had a general blood test that showed I was 1 point into the pre-diabetic scale. After adjusting my diet I cleared that 3 months later...2 years later I had the same test and showed 2 points into the pre-diabetes scale. Again, i knew it was my diet and adjusted it..my doctor said a person can be pre-diabetic for decades and that its just a loose indicator scale of sorts...I have since had 2 other blood tests...every 3 months I would have my blood tested exactly 2 hours after eating a substantial breakfast...each time my results were normal. I have no diabetes in my family and i suspect my original results were just the result of a silly diet...I ate too much candy before the first scare and was eating way too much rice the second. I have a high metabolism and I don't gain weight, i've always eaten what I wanted. I've since stopped this behavior and I eat well now..are my blood tests just a reflexion of my diet at the time or do they mean more?

  • Is it ok to take a double dose of antihistamines?

Im allergic to pollen, I get crazy allergies in the spring. I went to my doctor a few years ago and asked him for prescription antihistamine, because the over the counter stuff was doing nothing. I can t remember what he gave me, but the dosage was 20mg. When I went back next year for some more he said to just take double of the over the counter stuff, and thats what i did that year and the next, 2 pills every 24 hours of extra strength cetrizine. and its the only time in my life where i can almost go the whole season without a sneezing fit. I ve read recently that people shouldn t do this? the article specifically mentioned that products with decongestant would be bad if you double up but advised against doubling up in general. I was given a prescription for a double dose after all, and i ve gone 2 years without any side effects...is it really a bad idea?

  • my hair doesn t produce any oil, but I want oily hair, what do I put in to do that?

i m a guy with a little grey hair, but because my hair is always so dry it often looks like i m completely grey, but when i come out of the shower or just after conditioning or after I put gel in it, it looks brown. This never lasts though, the gel evaporates, and my hair becomes dry again. I use leave in conditioner, olive oil , etc..coconut oil works well, but its greasy as hell,

Is there some kind of hair oil or treatment I can get that will make my hair moist and healthy looking for awhile?

  • I live in a 3 story wooden apartment buildng, if I buy a fan rowing machine, are my neighbors going to be bothered by the noise?

I don't know if the sound will translate into the apartment below me. should I buy a rubber mat? for those of you who own one and live in a house , can people hear you using it from another floor with the door closed? I'd like to be able to use it any time, even at night, but I don't want to disturb my neighbors. I understand that magnetic rowers are much quieter but a fan rower is more satisfying.

  • whats the best way to deal with sap that won t come off a car? cut polish or re-paint?

I have a chevy cobalt with cedar or pine sap all over the roof and hood..i ve tried everything to remove it..except methyl hydrate, gonna try that next..thing is, i ve kinda mucked up the finish a lot trying so many things..its not a great new car but its been very well looked after its whole life, it would be nice to not see the sap anymore. Even if the methyl hydrate works and I don t think it will, (none of the other classical treatments removed even a smidge), the damage has been done..the paint doesn t have to look perfect, theres plenty of scuffs and scratches everywhere that I don t care about, but whats the easiest/cheapest way to get rid of (or cover up) the sap on the hood and roof?

  • Is it safe to charge my phone this way?

I have a Samsung galaxy 3, the charging port on it is distorted inside somehow..I've tried a few online repair tips but they don't work, the tongue inside the port isn't making good contact with the female part in the cable. not when I use the factory cable anyway.

my solution was to try a bunch of aftermarket cables in the hopes that one of them was made too big on the outside/ or too small on the inside and by accident make good contact. It worked. I can charge my phone through my computers usb port...its slow, but it works..

My question is: I still have the factory travel adapter main head that plugs into an outlet...can I plug any old usb cable into it and charge my phone through an outlet again? won't the factory plug in adapter regulate how much power the phone is getting? I found another aftermarket cable that works, rated at 2.4 amps...I don't think my phone can handle that..but if its plugged into the factory head it shouldn't get that much right?

  • my computer has 1 gig ram chips in it, I found a 512mb ram chip thats compatible with my computer, is there any benefit to putting it in?

I have four slots in total, 2 of them have a 1 gig ram chip installed in each, i ve recently stumbled across a third that i m about to install, but I also have a 4th , but its only 512mb....I remember reading something about a computer favoring the lowest weakest piece of ram...or something..I don t want to fiddle with a benchmark program, is there any value to putting in the 512? would my computer run better without it? my computers 6-7 years old, it runs on vista , its 32 bit, and its just begging for ram, gonna buy a new one soon I think, but my plan for now is to shore it up a little in the meantime.

  • What is the most durable SNOWSHOE design?

i ve broken 2 separate sets of snowshoes this season, each time a rivet or metal button came away from the strap they were pressed into, basically the part that connects the foot binding to the shoe itself, they were both rentals so i'm not on the hook, but i m tired of using cheap snowshoes, I want to buy my own.

The strap and rivet design doesn t impress me, the fewer parts the better, I didn t enjoy the 3 hours it took to get out of the back country hopping along on one snowshoe..

MSR makes the single piece bottom design, but it still connects to the foot bindings by a point of articulation, I occasionally run down hill to avoid slipping and all that downwards weight and momentum is going to be funneled exactly onto that point ....

the bear paw design looks interesting...so does the classic tennis racket design of centuries past, but neither are hugely popular for some reason..

lots of companies offer decent warranties, but i don t care, I want something whose natural design elements make breaking unlikely, I ve even considered making my own...

can anyone recommend a design and/or company?

  • how important is it to wash hair product out of your hair with shampoo? Is water good enough?

im a guy, I don t much like shampooing and conditioning everyday, I find it strips away too much natural oil and im left with a dry frizzy q-tip on the top of my head. I don t use anything strong in my hair, some coconut oil, some garnier anti frizz stuff which is a cream, and a bit of light loreal messy look stuff...not all of it everyday , but thats my arsenal. I find water seems to clean my hair just fine, it feels very healthy. Everything but the loreal stuff is natural, or natural derived..I don t wanna go bald or anything..I"d prefer to shampoo just 3 times a week, is that alright?
