Song of Solomon 8:7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned. " Love doesn't end, it just grows and grows "

  • What are some examples that has helped you to learn to walk in love?

    I wanted to ask about one aspect of walking in love. None of us are born knowing how to walk but is something that we must learn through being stretched beyond anything that we had done previously. It is a process that includes falling down, using our legs and muscles in a different way and being stretched to do something that we hadn't done before that time. What circumstances has God used to teach and guide you to walk in love? As a parent that guides their child as they learn to walk how have you felt His arms holding you up as you have learned to walk?

    Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

    2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

    How have these circumstances and trials shaped and changed you as you have learned to walk? Thank you for considering this and for sharing.

  • How does walking in love demonstrate how active loving should be in our daily lives?

    Thanks for considering this and sharing. I wanted to know how the admonition for us to " walk in love " demonstrates how active loving is and should be in our daily lives? What does it mean to walk in love? Is this something that should be a part of our daily lives everywhere that we go? How does walking in love show that it should be something that is a core part of who we are or who we should be? How does walking in love also show that there is a goal in sight, that it isn't stagnant but always going forward? Thanks for considering these things and for sharing, here are some verses that inspired this question.

    Ephesians 5: 1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

    2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

  • What does God's willingness to share His heart say about how He sees us?

    Thanks for considering this question and for all your sincere answers. When we think of " heart to heart " conversations and sharing where two people share from their hearts in a sincere way the things that are on their heart and who they are what does it say about their relationship? What does God's willingness to share His heart with us say about how He sees us and what His thoughts are toward us?

    To share His thoughts, His heart, how He feels, His joy and what grieves Him with us what does that say about the personal relationship He desires in us and what does it say about the value and love that He loves us with?

  • How does love unify and bring people together?

    Thanks for reading and considering my question, how does love bring unity and draw people together? What are some of the characteristics of how true love has a unifying effect?

    This verse was one of the inspirations for this question, thanks for sharing.

    Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

    " Being knit together in love, " what are the strength of these bonds and how does it effect us and those that are knit together in our hearts? Thanks again for all your sincere answers.

  • How does God use relationship to teach and reveal things to us?

    Thanks for taking the time to read and consider this question. I am speaking of relationship in the all-inclusive way, meaning our relationship or relationships with God, friends, family, romantic etc.

    How this closeness and bonds are used to reveal, teach and grow us? How do they influence you and what influence you have in the lives of others? One example of this is parent/child relationship where the parent is an example and pattern for the child, teaching them things that are important and of value to the parent.

    Thanks again for taking the time to read and for sincerely sharing.

  • Christians: What is the testimony you want to leave behind?

    Thanks for reading and considering this question. What testimony do you want to leave behind? How would you like for others to remember you? What would you like for them to remember about you? How has others in your life been an example to you even after they were gone? Please share on any or all parts of this. Here are some of the things from God's word that helped to inspire this question. We see some of our brothers and sisters that left a testimony behind for us: ( And truly it is God that testifies that these things are true. )

    Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

    Hebrews 3:5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

    James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

    Acts 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

    ( And so many more examples ) Thanks again for sharing.

  • If you were talking to me for the last time, what would you say?

    Thanks for reading this and for sharing. Even if you don't know me I would like to know if other people think about this in how they speak and treat others in their lives. Do you treat others like it could be the last time you may see them or talk to them? How does this affect your relationships and how you interact with others? Thanks again for considering this and sharing.

  • What are some Bible verses that are examples of the attributes of love as found in 1 Cor. 13?

    Thank you for reading this question and looking into it. I wanted you to share some Bible verses that are examples of the attributes of love as found in 1 Corinthians ch 13. Please feel free to share as many of these as you would like and also to share the significance of these verses to you.

    1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

    5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

    6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

    7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

    Here is one example and a verse that I love.

    Patience - Genesis 29:20 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

  • How has God used the storms to strengthen you?

    Thanks for reading this and considering this question. I wanted to share what I was thinking about today and what inspired me to ask this question to help clarify my question.

    I have grown plants before that I started indoors because some plants wouldn't be able to make it to maturity where I live if they were planted as seeds in the ground. Plants that are started indoors grow well at first, they are protected and safe from all the elements and dangers of the outside. ( Like many pests, storms, temperature extremes, etc ) but they can't reach their potential and produce the fruit that they need to if they are not transplanted outside. When plants are started indoors like this, they must be " hardened off " to gradually expose them to the elements like wind and temperatures before they are transplanted into the ground. This hardening off is what makes the plant strong enough to endure the elements to live and produce fruit. ( A plant that hasn't been hardened off can easily be broken by the wind or die from the temperature extremes. )

    I was thinking about how much this is like what God does with us. How He uses the storms, trials, etc to strengthen, settle and establish us in Him and how through these things He bears fruit in us that is enduring and so precious.

    How has God used the storms to strengthen you? What have you learned about God and yourself through the storms? What fruit has He produced in you through the storms, trials, etc ? What storms has He brought you through? Thank you again for considering all of this and feel free to share on any or all parts of this.

  • What are some funny product labels that you have read?

    I often find things on product labels and other places that make me laugh, and I wanted to hear some from others. Here is an example, I bought some BBQ sauce at the store and the flavor was " original " but written at the top near the cap in big letters was " now better tasting " ha ha. So I just wanted to hear from others the funny things that they have found on product labels. Thanks for looking into this question and I hope that it brings some laughs.
