  • what are the essential clothing items for cold weather (not necessarily snowy weather)?

I will be moving to London and it will be a major move from tshirts and shorts. I have no idea what to take with me. All I see is people wearing jackets and coats but what kinds do you need specifically? And what other clothing items would a girl need for that climate?

  • Help finding name of the movie ...involves a car crash?

the parents turn behind for one second to say something to their daughter (i think they had a son sitting at the back too) and they crash into an oncoming truck. I believe it was a flashback scene, the girl grows up and remembers it.

  • Is YIFY Torrents back?

I found a website called yts.la and it says it's yify official torrents. It's asking me to register but no one on the internet seems to be talking about it so I'm apprehensive about trying it out. Is it for real?

  • naruto manga has come to an end. how do you feel?!?

I read everything from the shippuden part of the manga in 3 days and now I feel empty. I honestly didn't like what happened after the shinobi world war arc. It all went too extreme after that.

I miss the characters especially the baddies since it's a peaceful world now Pfft.

  • the sides of my cake cook faster than the rest and eventually ends up getting burnt?

This has happened to me twice. I baked a cake in a brioche style tin (Idk if that's what you call it. it looks like a giant version of a cupcake). I Followed the instructions which said preheat on gas 3 or high. So I did that 10 minutes before putting the cake in. I even greased the pan with butter. And I placed the cake on the topmost level. But 10 minutes in I get a smell and then I realize that the outsides cooked. But I just left it till the middle was cooked as well and then I just cut off the sides. The rest of the cake was perfect.

Now I plan to bake a pie in the same tin but I'm scared that the edges will get burnt and then it will be a fail.

How am I supposed to avoid this when I bake it!???!

  • I want to start cooking but I need a list of ingredients to get me started.?

I'm not very good in cooking and my mum says I should learn to cook on my own. I can't learn from her because she cooks Indian food which is very complicated for me because it consists of a lot of spices.

I look for simple recipes online but every recipe has so many different ingredients and I don't have most of those ingredients at home.

So I want a list of ingredients I could use to cook various dishes. Kind of like a shopping list including what condiments, vegetables, frozen foods, dairy stuff, packaged stuff, etc I need to buy. I'm not vegan but I don't want to cook fresh meat.

  • Driving Q: Is this method of downshifting correct?

I've been driving a stick for 6 months and I don't want to ruin my car by driving the wrong way so ..

Whenever I have to slow down, say I'm in the 5th gear, I downshift by changing through all the gears: 4th to 3rd to 2nd (I keep the clutch depressed the whole time) and simultaneously braking while doing this (I'm downshifting and braking at the same time)

    Is this an acceptable way?

  • is lip balm addiction bad ?

I can't do without lip balms and my new favorite is maybelline's baby lips. I apply it all the time: at home, at school, before/after eating, while driving, etc. And if I can't find it I freak out. However I feel it's bad so I just buy one lip balm to keep the addiction under control.

Is this bad? Are there any health dangers?

  • have you tried answering/ do you answer questions on YA which were posted years ago ?

I just realized that's possible. There's no time limit now. Plus most of the Q's now are lame and old Q's seem very interesting.

  • Manual Cars: does using the AC while driving uphill impact the car ?

There's this slope where I usually drive in 2nd gear and my car used to go uphill perfectly. But when I was driving uphill with the AC on in 2nd gear, no matter how much I accelerated it just didn't pick up speed. Also in 1st gear the RPMs would go up to 3 so I thought it would be better to change to 2nd (but it failed to climb the slope). Also it was raining (if that could be a factor).

So do I drag the car uphill in 1st with the RPMs high? Or is something wrong with the car ??

  • Naruto Shippuden: questions about the akatsuki ..?

    Q. After the Deidara-Sasuke fight after hearing of Tobi's apparent death, why does Pain tell the rest of the Akatsuki that Tobi can easily be replaced, and later he and Konan meet up with Tobi or Madara and even take orders from him???

    Q. One more thing ...if the Akatsuki know that Hidan is immortal why didn't they make any effort to retrieve him? Otherwise Zetsu's always around ...Not fair :-/

And even though this is not related to the akatsuki, I'm tempted to know... is Naruto still a genin ???

I just finished watching the itachi pursuit arc (i know i'm far behind lol) but i don't care about spoilers ...

  • is it okay to wear a sweatshirt or jumper over your gym clothes AFTER working out?

I wouldn't feel comfortable having a shower at the gym. And I don't think I can go home in my Tshirt, I'm sure it will be sweaty. So is it okay if I just wear a sweatshirt or jumper over my gym clothes after working out? I was thinking of buying a relaxed fit jumper. If so do I have to wash it everyday? I'll be going 5x a week and not on weekends.

  • how do you drive uphill in traffic (manual/stick car)?

Everyone says using the handbrake is the easiest but I find it difficult to get it down with one hand. Plus isn't it time consuming pulling it up and down if you're in traffic with vehicles moving forward and stopping for say 2-3 seconds? Or if you have to move away quickly?

My instructor showed me how to use the half clutch but it's not easy. So what I do is depress the clutch fully and brake and when I have to move I raise the clutch a bit and slowly leave the Brake to check if it rolls behind or moves ahead. I adjust and it does take me a few seconds but I manage to drive without stalling at least.

What are your opinions on these methods??

  • If you know how to drive, I have to ask you something!!!?

I just got my license and I drive a manual and the other day I went to the city and I found it extremely confusing because of the many lanes and round-a-bouts, junctions, etc. Where I live we drive on the Left side of the road so I have some questions because I have a strong feeling my driving skills annoy the other drivers (but I have an 'L' sign on my car so that helps).

    1. While on the highway/freeway what lane should a beginner take? (The maximum speed I can do is 60km while in 4th gear, too scared to try the 5th)

    2. While at a roundabout who has the right of way? How do you drive there?

    3. If you need to cross to the other side of the road and there is traffic behind you + oncoming traffic, what should you do?

Anyone who knows how to drive can answer but please don't forget to mention on which side of the road you drive in your country (Left/Right). Thanks in advance!

  • How do you release the handbrake/parking brake while on a hill? I find it difficult. Please Help!!?

I'm a girl and I just learned how to drive a manual/stick-shift car except that I JUST COULDN'T RELEASE THE HANDBRAKE WHEN I WAS PARKED ON A SLOPE. There's definitely nothing wrong with it because when I asked someone else to release it for me he did so effortlessly and I managed to pull the handbrake UP as well.

This may sound silly but I can't release it because: the driver's seat is on the right so I have to use my left hand to use the handbrake whereas I'm right handed and I'm not very strong even though I have normal weight (I am short though). I CAN RELEASE THE HANDBRAKE IF PARKED ON A STRAIGHT ROAD BUT ON A HILL IT SUDDENLY BECOMES IMMOVABLE.

IS THERE ANY TECHNIQUE TO RELEASE THE HANDBRAKE???? I'm scared now to ever park on a slope or use the handbrake while in traffic for fear I wouldn't be able to release it :(

PS: I ALMOST FAILED MY DRIVING TEST BECAUSE I COULDN'T RELEASE THE HANDBRAKE AND I WAS STRUGGLING FOR AGES UNTIL MY EXAMINER WAS KIND ENOUGH TO HELP ME WITH IT :'(

  • how do you drive a car in start-stop traffic?

I'm a bit confused on how to stop and start a car while on the road. I know you have to press the clutch and the brake to stop but is the clutch fully depressed or brake fully depressed or just a bit? And when the traffic moves do you keep the clutch depressed while accelerating? Please explain how you do this while driving:

    1. straight road stop-start traffic

    2. Uphill stop-start traffic

    3. Downhill stop-start traffic

  • Help Please! Need Tips! Learning to Drive?

I've been learning driving for the past 4 days and I absolutely suck at it. My major problem is that I do not know how much to turn the steering wheel or how to judge the road ahead- whether I'll bang into the parked car or pedestrian ahead or whether I'm driving in line and not in the middle of the road or whether I'll fit through a narrow lane. I know I need to practice but can you give me some handy tips. And how long did you take to master these skills?

And if anyone does me wrong I make up scenarios in my head about taking revenge but I never go about actually doing it.. secretive, yes I am..

And I don't look intimidating at all in fact you'll see me making a naive or a cute or a funny face haha
