My 6 yr old daughter is in 1st grade. She's been getting a couple reports from the teacher saying that she's been dazing off and not finishing her work. Last week we talked about it and I ask her to get herself together, but when the report came it was the same. I went and sat in the classroom to observe today and found that she was wide awake but not looking at the teacher, but didn't participate. Which also goes for some kids in the room. However, I came to the conclusion that she might be bored due to the teacher yakking for a whole hour. I myself almost fall off the chair from her talking for an hour (which she did ask for the kids interaction during the yakking). The teacher was saying along the line of getting her checked, (she also notice it from the beginning of the year). I wanted to believe that she might need a specialist check up or continue to come with ways to get her motivated. When I asked her tonight what they were discussing about and she knew the most of the discussion. I'm I only one observing boredom or should I go ahead with the check up.

father's girlfriend over in my house for Christmas. (Father in-law girl friend is 28 and he's 85 going 86) The last time she was here, she stayed for whole month. Oh, the father in law will be here too, which I don't really care for either. They both have an little girl together, which she and he claims is his. I don't really want them over at all. I don't know how to tell my husband this. He didn't even ask me if it's o.k. for them to come over for the holiday. He knows I don't care for the girl. How or what to do?

because she forget to do a lot of simple things. For example turning her homework in after I reminded her, and morning tasks sometimes has to be reminded to finish many times before she actually finished them (task such as getting ready, brushing teeth, or washing up, making bed, and putting clothes on so she can come down for breakfast and me doing her hair). I get on her because if I don't she seemed lost or just taking her time. Is there something I should be concern about? I've written down the stuff that she should be doing herself in the morning, but still it seems like she doesn't get it. We already went over it. I've tried the rewards and compliments thing, however it kind of got old. When I say tasks it's pertaining to her getting ready herself, not the house task. When I try to help, she does not like it.

did you like being pregnant? I love my girls, but when I was pregnant I hated it because I was so miserable. I didn't have major illnesses, but for some reason I didn't handle being pregnant well. I remember I had various pregnancy symptoms such as back pain, legs swollen, gestational diabetes. I didn't even gain that much weight. Does/did anyone feel great or miserable during the pregnancy.

As far as personality/look. My two girls, 6 and 4 1/2 yr old. My oldest look mostly like my husband, but personality is more like me. My 4 year old look just like me, but personality is like dad. She likes to be funny, such as making people laugh, smiles a lot, and love to sing. My oldest is reserve, she speaks when need to and make sure it's heard. She likes to keep to herself.

when I make sushi the rice is good while still warm. however after you refrigerate the rice, which is left over it gets hard. How do you keep it from getting hard. Is there a type of rice I don't know about or do I cook it to death like put a lot of water to make it mushy.

pregnant. I get my period around 1st, 2nd or 3rd day of the month. Now it's the 7th, and I still don't have my period. I've been feeling stressed out lately, a lot. Is it stress or prego? My DH cousin borrow my car for a whole week and return. I drove it not knowing the gas would be empty because the gas gauge is not working. THis morning as I was taking the kids to school, I stalled out in the middle of the street. I had to waiting for DH to come and bring me some gas. I'm furious right now because DH and just talked about this last night and he thinks I'm always going at someone for every reasons. Why is it so freaking wrong when he borrow my car and not fill it up when you return it. Right, I'm trying to not blow up in my DH face. Calm down.

7 year old soon to be 8 is sleeping in the same room with his 4 year old sister. Mom found son to be somewhat mischevious. Like he'd pull up sister skirt and some little stuff that's inappropriate. I told her that she needs to separate him from her before he go too far, like molesting his sister. He probably thinks it's funny, but who knows. Am I way off?

I didn't get to see the result of the trial, but after I looked up on the internet I found that the flight attendant's case was not founded. Does that mean she still get some $ for damages? In my opinion the flight attendant was just looking for a nice piece of the pie, ha.

Here's a little info. into this event. On Sunday I went to church as usual where my brother in law is a pastor there. On the first Sunday of the month, people usually bring food and eat after the service is over. When the service was over I went straight home because I was soo tired. I could barely keep my head up due to me waking up at 3 or 4 a.m. in the monring to take my husband to the airport. When I got home, my sister called me and aske me why I didn't stay to eat with everyone else and I told her I was too tired. Then I asked her if she has my daughter's fundraising book with her. She answered yes, it was in the back of her car. I said to her, why don't you pass it out for me and she replied saying well, you should of been here to do it, it's yours and she hung up on me. Long story short, I went to pick up the book and she got in my face with fingers and all and told me that I'm not her sister any more. In a few words I told her not to talk to me like I'm her child, husband or a dog; that's what she usually do when she talk to me or anyone in the family. I also called a ***** AND WITCH and drove off.
