Is it possible for my cat to get hiccups?
I was taking care of Dusty Black-Hole Baggins (to give him his full name), and I noticed that his chest was spasming. Each time it spasmed, he made a quiet, high pitched "um" noise.
Could he have the hiccups? Or could this be something serious?
5 AnswersCats1 decade agoWhat's a shmeer?
I was just reading a Far Side comic, where a killer whale at Sea World is re-entering the water after a jump. The trainer above holds a fish. The orca, however, says to a nearby dolphin: "The herring is nothing...I'm going for the whole shmeer!"
This would be a lot funnier if I knew what a "shmeer" was. Any ideas?

Whenever we have a barbecue, my cat starts sniffing around, then starts eating the ashes underneath the grill (we use charcoal). Why is he doing this?
