Any parents who regret having children? Or love their kids but hate being parents?

Do any of you feel as strongly?
2 AnswersParenting9 years agoThe other side of the double-standard of promiscuous men and promiscuous women?
Many people have commented on the double standard of promiscious women and promiscuous men, Men are seen as studs, while women are seen as whores. However no one considers the other side. Women typically look down on men who sleep around, and rightfully so, and also while that guys "boys" may be cheering him on in front of his face, many of them are laughing about him and talking about him like a dog behind his back, so my suggestion is to remember, that fast men in reality are not as big of heroes as they think they are. Anyone see where I am coming from or do I have a different experience?
1 AnswerOther - Cultures & Groups9 years agoWhy is trying to get in shape so hard?
I've recently cut out so much snacking, but I'm seriously running out of ideas for healthy food. I'm trying to eat healthier for breakfast and lunch, and have a normal supper but I'm kind of lost at what to eat. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness10 years agoParents: Would you ever spank or whip (belt) your child in class in front of his or her peers?
Yeah, another spanking question, however, up until about 2000 this was a practice that occurred. The idea was if you wanna show up I'll show you out. I personally would not do this (if I had kids), however, there are some in support of it. How do you feel about this issue?
10 AnswersGrade-Schooler10 years agoWhy do so many people not take their own advice about getting into other's conversations?
They will tell someone who gets into a conversation of theirs uninvited "I was not talking to you" or "this is not your conversation", but yet minutes later, they will have no problem getting into somebody Else'ss discussion uninvited? This could be at a place of work, or even just in general? Should they not take their own advice? I mean I realize there are especially times when it is completely inappropriate to butt in but if something is that private, why have it in an office full of ppl you spend 8 hours a day with, or air your laundry out in a public place? Sometimes we all have to catch ourselves, but some can come across as very hostile. Anyone know what I mean?
1 AnswerEtiquette10 years agoCulturally Speaking: Do you get annoyed when passengers in your car want to mess with your radio?
How about the ones who when you give them permission to listen to something they want they
A. take FOREVER to find a station
B. constantly put a CD song on repeat after 2 minutes
C. or they want to blast your music so loud that you cant hear yourself think.
How about the ones who immediately get in the car, and want to change what YOU are listening to?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoTo my fellow christians? Have you thought about taking a breather?
I'm a christian who is really considering taking a sabbatical from church. I'm just so stressed out lately, and 2010 was not all that. I need a hiatus from church to just think, and give myself to time to rejuvinate. Has any other christian ever felt like this?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWindowns Validation issue? Could use some help.?
My computer is no longer loading with computer icons. I'm told that my copy of windows vista is not valid, however, if I select "Activate Now", it will allow me to attempt to purchase a code online and still get basic internet. Do I need to just validate windows vista or just download windows 7? If the latter, than how can I do that? B/c I attempted to download it off of the web, however, when I went to restart my computer, I still got the "your windows vista copy is not accurate", Should I dl wondows vista first and then update windows 7 from the microsoft website? Thanks.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoCulturally and Spiritually speaking: Do you think two people from completely different religions can marry?
I'll kindly give my opinion, and say that I don't think it's a good idea. I realize not many ppl are going to agree with it, but most religions would not even approve of such a thing. Like In Judaism, Christianity and Islam, that's not approved. Or even outside of the abrahamic faiths, a buddhist and an atheist, probably not a good match either. To me the belief systems are just too different, and then there's the argument over what the raise the child.
I've given my stance, now I want to hear yours. So folks, what do you think? I'd like to hear from a variety of backgrounds if possible.
8 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoCulturally speaking: How do you feel about "tough love"?
I realize there are some that use it as a free pass to be abusive or neglectful, but sometimes, it really is the only option(well atleast for me recently) I'm currently having to show tough love to a friend(met him randomly at the bookstore, and man I helped him out one time giving him a ride he has become a pest) b/c he is very hard-headed(nosey, and a wanna-be thug). He's one of those who does what the wants and nothing changes his mind. So I've had to stop taking his phone calls temporarily and quick picking him up b/c he always gets himself into something. I felt bad initially when he told me some of his situation but after two weeks I realize that he brought a lot of his troubles on himself.
What do the ppl at yahoo answers think? Is tough love legit or is it the exact opposite of love
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWhich one is worse? A chastity belt or a backpack harness?
I've seen several questions about child harnesses, and most ppl either support them 100% or completely oppose them. The same thing w/ the belts. Would a chastity belt not be less restricting, and not to mention, it can't possibly be good for ones hygeine(still gotta clean up that area). What do you guys think?

You know liturgical dance? It may include flags and streamers. What's your stance on it?
3 AnswersDancing1 decade agoIs it me or is the word "segregation" thrown around too loosely now days?
Mostly black churches, or mostly white churches-segregation
HBCUs-segregation
Neighborhood mostly black, white, hispanic, etc-segregated
Anything where there is not an equal amount of each race-segregated
You see what I mean? Have ppl confused segregation w/ human nature (in the case the natural preference to be w/ those who have a similar background)?
6 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoPrimerica representatives? What do you think?
About 2 months ago, I decided to try primerica, but shortly after my first meetings, I opted out, b/c I got to nervous, and at the time I really did not have the 99 dollars to spend on it, plus maintaining a website at $25/month. Recently at a job fair, I saw they had a couple of tables set up and I talked to a representative, about a meeting that may be coming up in september. I'm thinking about trying it b/c I know primerica has a good reputation, but w/ this current economy are people really buying extra insurance, you know other than the basic insurance that they need?
2 AnswersOther - Advertising & Marketing1 decade agoWhy is it that the only time you hear about white holidays/events are cases like KKK rallies?
I ask this because in my area, whites take pride in their heritage, being that most of them are of an anglo saxon or cajun heritage. Louisiana(especially Lafayette) is known for it's cajun and creole heritage, and both groups embrace their cultures. Do whites in other cities have events for their ethnic origin(such as german, italian, irish)?
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWhy do people ask a question and then arrogantly give their stance?
What I mean is, when they elaborate on the question, the way they phrase their opinion makes it pretty clear what kind of answer they want and anything other than that is not accepted(and sometimes reported). Does anyone notice that?
6 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoMY FELLOW SOUTHERNERS: Culturally speaking-which part of the south do you live in and is your area racist?

Atlantic-Florida,Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Deleware, Virginia, West
Virginia,Maryland, Washington(DC)[NOTE: DE,VI,WV,MD &DC are borderline New england]
Mid South-Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky
I am from the deep south, Lake Charles, LA and my area isnt really all that racist[it aint that diverse either), but nothing really happens here.
9 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWhen did the word county stop being used in Louisiana.?
I know why Louisiana has parishes rather than counties(really it's the same thing, just they were run by catholic churches), but I heard that historically the words "county" and "parish" were used interchangibly. When did it stop?
