My question is designed to show that casual nudity is really alot of fun and usually not sexual. Sexual nudity has its place, obviously, but so does non-sexual nudity. I love being naked as much as possible and would love to hear other people's experiences as well.

I'd love to believe that each of us would do one exceptionally kind and caring thing for some person or group during this holiday season. If we all did just one such act, imagine how nice our world would be (at least for a short time).

We all go a little wild and crazy once in awhile, and summer usually seems to be the time for it. Let's share our stories and enjoy each other's antics...even if only vicariously!

We were having this discussion over the weekend at the nude beach (an appropriate place, given the thousands of male and female nipples on display) and nobody seemed to have an acceptable answer. Not only couldn't we figure out why guys have nipples, but none of us knew if males in any other species have them.

I drive an SUV that takes premium (which is my choice, so I can't complain about that) but there are stations charging upwards of $3.60 a gallon here on Long Island! I'm not blaming the average station owner, and I know that there's not much we can do as individuals, but when you consider that the current price of a barrel of crude oil is about $15 lower than last summer, it seems that either the media or the legislative bodies should be making an investigative inquiry. Any thoughts?

It seems apparent that more of us are enjoying the ability to be topless or nude, either alone or with others, in public (or at least not totally private) situations. Since that's a major transformational process that contradicts the long-standing mores of our society, I think that many on the board would benefit from hearing how tha came about for you.

It seems that many people are slowly starting to become less uptight about trends such as the acceptance of topless women, nude beaches, etc. I'm wondering if others feel the same way or is it just a misperception on my part.

Every day we're exposed to the tragic, the mean, the unpleasant and the violent aspects of contemporary life. Rarely, however, do we have a chance to witness, or even hear about, the positive side of human nature.

I've always believed that most people are inherently good and decent, and they there's a lot more good in the world that we hear of. With that in mind, why not "toot your own horn" and tell us about your most significant act of kindness. It's not bragging or self-aggrandizement...just an opportunity to renew our collective faith in human nature.

Now that spring is here and summer's on the way (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) I'm wondering if anyone's planning to try a visit to the nude beach for their first time. If so, what's kept you away in the past, and what's now caused your feelings to have changed? If you've never gone and don't plan to, perhaps you could tell us why.

Remember, there's a difference between sensuality and sexuality; they're not necessarily the same. For example, lying naked outside under a warm summer sun is nearly always sensual, but by itself is rarely sexual. For this question, we're talking about sensuality (anything which gives pleasure to one or more of our five senses.)

When you really think about it, you spend a good deal of money to buy a few inches of cloth for the sole purpose of wearing it in water and getting it totally wet. In any other situation people go out of their way to keep their clothes dry, so why buy special clothes to get them wet? Obviously, I'm being rhetorical, but I really think that the prudishness and modesty that tries to compel us to cover our "naughty parts" (and remember how those parts change over time and from culture to culture) is really something to be examined and, hopefully, relegated to the past.

Let's hear what you think...and maybe let us know your age and where you're from...age and cultural differences will possibly be significant.

They can be things that you enjoy doing by yourself or with others. Keep it fun but keep it at least somewhat clean. Remember...these are non-sexual things to do naked.

Is society becoming more comfortable with non-sexual nudity at places like beaches, pools, saunas etc. where nakedness should really not be a big deal?
