I've ordered it twice and it's been wrong both times. The new RAM I was sent was the same size and my old RAM but the notch on the stick was about an 1/8th of an inch further left than my old stick. What do I need to order to get the right RAM? I've been on several sites and been led wrong twice. I need some help please. Thanks.

  • Will the Navy kick you out for having flat feet?

I've got a friend of a friend that swears he got kicked out of the Navy because he has flat feet. The guy has serious authority issues and refuses to show me any proof of his claim. I served two terms in the Air Force and remember being checked for flat feet before being able to join up so I'm calling b.s. on his story and I'm betting he got kicked out for not being able to cut it in the military. Does anyone have any input to back his claim???

  • Do they make a vienna sausage that does not contain mechanically separated chicken?

I refuse to eat mechanically separated chicken. Look it up and you'll understand why. But lately, I've been craving vienna sausages and can't seem to find any that don't contain chicken. Does anyone know of a brand out there that only contains beef and or pork?

  • ASP.Net on my computer?

I recently discovered that I now have an ASP.net account listed in my user accounts on my computer. I looked it up and discovered that it's part of a Windows web application framework. I don't remember downloading anything to this effect and it doesn't come up on my anti-virus or spyware as anything dangerous. I was wondering if it was safe to delete or if I should just leave it alone. Thanks for anyone leaving well informed answers.

  • Have you ever heard of a whining noise coming from a carburetor?

I recently purchased an old '87 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup with an aftermarket carburetor (type unknown) as a utility truck. It has ran very good for the 6 months that I've owned it but this morning it began to make a whining noise that sounded very much like a belt acting up. When I checked the noise was coming from the carb and it only happens when I'm decelerating and at low idle. Also, it will die when at idle if I'm not giving it gas. At highway speed and acceleration, it seems to do decently but acts a bit like the fuel isn't being applied smoothly. It is almost like the fuel filter is a bit clogged but the filter was clear when I pulled it and checked it. It's the whining part that concerns me because I've never heard a carb make a noise like that before. Sorry that I can't give more details.

  • My knee started swelling about 4 days ago and I assumed it was a bit of arthritis...?

but now it's swollen all the way to the ankle. WebMD suggests going to the hospital but I don't have insurance or the money to pay for a hospital trip for them to tell me that it's nothing. Any ideas on what it could be? There is pain in the knee itself and what feels and looks a bit like bruising around the knee and ankle. It's only in my left leg.

  • Keeping the cat off the dinner table.?

The cat knows not to be on the dining room table and the counter tops. I'll hear her on them and as soon as I put my feet on the floor to go catch her, she jumps down and runs off. My girlfriend just shrugs if off as a cat being a cat but I'm starting to go a little crazy cleaning cat hair and litter, that was previously stuck in the cats paws, off of the place that I eat my dinner from... If I could catch her up there then I could use the spray bottle or clicker that we have used in the past with much success to deter her from unwanted behavior. Any suggestions that wouldn't put me in the dog house with the girlfriend?

  • Pork roast/slow cooker...how long per pound?

I have a 7.7 lb. pork butt that I want to cook in my slow cooker but can't find a per pound time to go by when cooking it. My meat thermometer has taken a dive and I can't trust what it says as far as internal temp goes. Would it hurt to just leave the roast on low overnight? It's been on for 9 hours. I'm fairly sure it's done but can't be sure since I don't have any reference to go by on cook times. Can I overcook it by leaving it on low for too long? I've heard that the worst thing that'll happen is that the roast will just fall apart, which is fine since it's going to be BBQ anyways.

  • Early '80's revenge killing...?

I was trying to remember an incident that happened when I was a kid that was all over the news. A man's son had been kidnapped and murdered by the son's karate teacher. When the teacher was caught and brought back into Florida the boy's father was standing in an airport phone booth and as the teacher was escorted by the father turned around and shot the teacher dead. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Can anyone remember the father's name? I seem to remember that he was never convicted.

  • Why did my DVD play stop playing DVD's?

It plays cd's perfectly but won't load a dvd any more. I have cleaned the lens with a dvd cleaning disc several times since it started but to no avail. The unit is less than a year old and hasn't really been used a great deal. When the problem initially started it would take several attempts of opening and closing the player to get the disc to load before it would work.

  • Cat treat question...?

I was needing to know the name of a cat treat that is made from chicken and is formed into a solid that looks a bit like a drawer knob. It has an adhesive on the back so you can stick it on the wall for your cat to lick it when it wants. Does anyone know what it's called???

  • Digital cam difficulties...?

I have a digital camera full of pics and when I plug it into my USB on my comp all I get is 3 quick tones from the comp instead of the one tone that I usually get when plugging anything into the USB. More importantly, the camera doesn't communicate with the comp anymore. The comp doesn't show the camera as a plugged in device. I've reloaded my drivers. I don't have another comp to try it out on but I suspect my cable might be bad. Does anyone know what the 3 quick tones means when I plug the camera into the port?

  • What were the name of these sunglasses called???

These sunglasses were popular in the mid-eighties. The had little leather or cloth "visors'' that were attached on the sides to keep the sun from peeking in on the side when you were wearing them. Some also had an attachment to clip on at the nose to protect it from sunburn. I remember seeing them used a lot with artic explorers and alpine skiiers.

  • Has PETA ever heard of due process? Shouldn't Michael Vick be found guilty by the court before losing his job?

Honestly, PETA seems to think that they are the determiners of Michael Vick's guilt or innocence. Maybe the courts should just do away with due process and just let PETA handle all the law suits from now on. Vick is in deep trouble and yes, he's probably guilty but the NFL is doing the right thing by letting him keep his job until he is convicted by a court of law. PETA needs to go find some lab animals to liberate and let the court system and the NFL do it's own work. Any opinions???

  • Solaris Mech Battle Game: Freeware/Shareware???

There used to be a game on AOL about 8 or 9 years ago called Solaris (I think). It was a low res low grade version of the Mech Warrior Game but it was a lot of fun. Does anyone know if this is still a game that can be found on any freeware or shareware sites?

  • Why do people choose to answer a question that is an obvious attempt at humor with serious answers?

I've posted several, what I thought were humerous, questions with nothing more in mind than providing a few laughs for those that find them and read them. I've been recieving a plethera of very serious and sometimes scolding answers from people that are taking the questions entirely too seriously.

  • What happens when you drop a cat with a piece of buttered toast tied to it's back?

Cats always land feet first and buttered toast always lands butter side down when dropped. So if you tie a piece of toast to a cats back which one hits the floor when dropped.
