Why or why not support Ron Paul?
Here is why I support Ron Paul.
His predictive abilities are consistent with the scientific method. The Oxford Dictionary defines the scientific method as follows.
a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses.
“theory”, or “scientific theory” is generally understood to refer to a proposed explanation of empirical phenomena, made in a way consistent with scientific method.
Ron Paul's predictions are consistent with a working theory.
In 2003, He Hypothesized that there would be a housing bubble and it would cause devastation. I also saw a speech on youtube from 2002, that there would be a debt crisis and a currency crisis.
Is it fair to say that he’s got 2 out of three so far?
This man started out as a physician. He took his knowledge of science and applied it to economics.
Honestly, I don’t see anyone else that is remotely qualified. Beyond Ron Paul, you have nothing but a bunch of lawyers. So, do you want to hear some lawyer jokes?

3 AnswersPolitics10 years agoQuestion about graphing an equation?
I have a problem that states graph the equation p = (r/3) - 2.
Simple enough, except that normally I'd see the variables "x" and "y" when doing a graph. Is there a rule for determining which variable is the vertical axis and the horizontal axis? This problem is on my take home test and is graded, so it's pretty important to me that it's right, so anyone who provides a source will get the points for best answer.
I assumed that p is the vertical axis and let r = -3, 0 and 6. Giving me the ordered pairs (-3,-3), (0,-2), (6,0)
I guess the question is, should I graph the order pairs as (r,p) or (p,r)
2 AnswersMathematics10 years agoWill a higher watt power supply fry my motherboard or does the motherboard only draw what it needs?
I have an older system, and I'm trying to put an top of the line graphics card in it. The system came with a 300 watt power supply and to put in this video card, I need at least 400 watts, but I'm thinking going higher because I have 4 internal Drives connected to this system (2 hard drives, a DVD Drive, and CD drive that can be disconnected because I have no use for it). Anyway, someone at Best Buy told me that putting in a 400 Watt power supply would fry the mother board. I was thinking this guy was just trying to get me to buy a new system rather than having me just spend $75 on a new power supply. The system is an Emachines T3265 and it uses the AGP interface for the video card. Does the mother board only draw the power it needs?
7 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoDo you think heath care is a right or a good?
If it's a right, then should we put it in the Constitution? Makes sense to me, but that begs the question, if health care was in the Constitution, would the government ignore it?
6 AnswersCivic Participation1 decade agoWill a burned DVD R Movie playback on a PS2?
My stupid DVD player broke and I have some DVDs to watch but they are burned copies. I rather burn out this PS2 (Since I have a PS3) before I go buy a new DVD player.
3 AnswersPlayStation1 decade agoAnyone out there feel like the Sotomayor confirmation hearings are just a dog and pony show?
Seriously, I'm very tired of the partisan drivel. If you aren't a Libertarian/Green/Constitution/Independent, you aren't paying attention.
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo you think we need any Constitutional Amendments to further restrain government?
I'm in favor of repealing the Commerce Clause and the Necessary and Proper Clause of Article One Section 8 and the 16th Amendment. I'd also like to revise the 10th Amendment to read, "The powers not specifically delegated to the United States by the Constitution by Article One Section Eight, are reserved to the States, or to the people."
12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat would happen to you if you spent 40% more money than you made?
The budget deficit for this year is 1.7 Trillion dollars on a roughly 3.7 Trillion budget. So why is $2 Trillion not enough? This is really mind blowing when you think about it.
23 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWould President Obama sign HR 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009?
Why wouldn't he support this? We want Transparency, right?
13 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat school of economics do you belong to?
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhy does everyone blame the President for the economy when the Federal Reserve creates credit bubbles?
I think you people need to start looking at Volker, Greenspan, and Bernanke as the sources of this problem. I love all this Obama is going to create jobs crap, and Bush policies destroyed the economy crap. Such uneducated statements from people that claim to be more educated (Liberals), and Republicans that claim to want to cut the size of government, but never do(expanded size of government by 40% from 2001-2009).
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoI'm curious, do Liberals even know the differences in policies advocated by Obama and McCain?
Cap and Trade - both supported
Bank Bailouts - both supported
Escalating a war in Afghanistan - both supported
The only disagreements came from wedge issues that create special interest groups that send millions of dollars to each campaign.
Is that a choice?
18 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoAre Libertarians the only ones that understand that the Federal Reserve caused the economic woes of today?
Keynesian economics failed, not capitalism. I'm waiting to see all the rude and uninformed comments because so many Liberals and Neo-Conservatives fail to understand the fundamental flaw in the system.
13 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoFor the Ron Paul haters, Can you explain how he predicted this financial crisis all the way back in 2003?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ3JNcMDWwg&feature...
Regardless of how you feel about is Social policies and so on and all the other smears you toss at him, please tell me how he knew this. (Watch from 1:59 to 3:00 if you don't believe me) Doesn't this make his prediction of the collapse of the dollar a little more troublesome?
6 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIs it possible for anyone to make a point in this forum using a rational argument rather than an emotional one?
It seems like no one knows why they are one side or the other. They just seem to have an emotional attachment to one party or the other. Can you defend your position logically? Yes, you can call me Mr. Spock.
12 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoBush vs. Obama in a game of H.O.R.S.E. who wins?
