  • Add a light to an existing single pole switch with an existing light?

Just moved into a house and we have a single switch in the house that controls the flood light outside. I m hoping to pig tail another light from the existing light and have a switch outside to turn them on and off as well. So it would be switch inside, 2 lights outside, and then another switch to control it from outside. Is this doable? Basement is finished so no way to run new wires from the switch. I would have to start at the outside light. Thanks in advance

  • Car refinancing,?

my current loan balance 15,152 my interest rate is around 15 actually a little higher but lets call it 15 payment is 460.00 a month. I have 39 payments left. which bring my payoff to about 17900,

When I talked to the refi people they said potentially I could be looking at an interest rate of 12 and change with a payment of 410.00 for 48 months which would bring my total pay back to about 19600. which to me looks like I would be paying back 1700 more than I would with my original loan a I missing something here?

  • Insulate a open/exposed ceiling?

I demoed a small back room. Approx 8x8 with the old ceiling down. I like the open feel of the room. Can I take 2-1/2" foam insulation and put it directly against the underside of the roof. I would fill any gaps in the ridged insulation with expanding foam. Not sure about "venting"any ideas

  • Should we pay people to be on call?

We are going to have people on call for weekends just incase their is an emergency, I work for a basement waterproofing company. true they can't go out and get plastered, but should they get paid for just being on call. They might never get called or they could get 5 calls depends. Once they go out they do indeed get paid. Just wondering your thoughts what do you think is fair.

  • how do you fire/ get rid of a nuisancee employee?

He have this bad apple employee, that has been with the co for a year and a half, Recently he asked to go on a LOA for 4 weeks to deal with family issues. He also wanted to collect unemployment, and since we were so said ok, and laid him off, Well the 4 weeks is up and he needs another 2 months. Overall he is a good worker but brings employee moral DOWN, we would like to get rid of him, but fear a lawsuit. Any ideas. Believe me this person is unlike any person you have ever met on the planet. So common logic really doesn't apply, I was thinking of saying take the 2 months and after that we no longer need you, but that would mean we are firing him. Which knowing him would result in a law suit for unjust cause (no paper trail of past discrepancies), or him claiming unemployment for ever. HELP
