  • Multiple positive HPTs negative blood test?

I've had multiple positive HPTs (today is the first day of my missed period) of multiple brands (2 Dollar Store, 2 First Response Digital, 2 Target brand, and 4 Clearblue weeks estimator). Got the first positive on the 13th and all positive since. With the weeks estimator it changed from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks today which was a bit of a relief because it would seem that means the HCG is going up and that it would have some minimum to indicate it's at 2-3. The part that is worrying me is that I had 2 qualitative blood tests done at Planned Parenthood (14th and today) and they both came back negative. So now after literally 10 positive HPTs is it possible that they're all false? I've read the qualitative is simple yes or no based on a set amount the lab sets but if I'm showing 2-3 past ovulation which is 4-5 weeks (that lines up exact to LMP) shouldn't I get a positive blood test?

  • Doctors and punctuality...mythical desire?

Why is it that all doctors are always late to appointments, as if their time is so much more valuable than anyone else's. I have yet to find a doctor who isn't 30 minutes to 2-3 hours late to appointments. Am I missing something...is there things they're doing that I'm just unaware of???

Am I missing something...why are people making excuses for Roman Polanski. He was a pedophile correct? People are harping on his talent and the trauma of his wife's murder...so is this why its okay? WOMEN on TV saying it wasn't "rape rape"...what is the deal???

  • 6 weeks for real, for real?

Gave birth to my daughter 5 weeks ago (officially 5 weeks tomorrow). I've had my post appointment with my OBGYN and she said my uterus seems pretty much back to normal (that was last week). I did have an episiotomy but I never really noticed the stiches and now I don't see them at all. Bleeding has stopped and 1st period has not started (started YAZ BCP already). So what I'm wondering is if I feel okay and willing to give it a go is it safe? Is there a reason they say 6 weeks as its a health precaution or is it a general time frame?

She yawns and her little eyelids are heavy but she's also putting her hand to her mouth and whining a bit.

  • Huggies verses Pampers...?

My daughter is only 3 weeks old and has used Pampers from the begining (what they used in the hospital). Since she's been born they have only leaked twice (poop) so for the most part are very reliable. I also like that they have a color indicator on them (yellow to green when wet). Well while situationg her room I found that I had received 3 boxes of Huggies!!! Not sure how I forgot. I'm a little weary on using them because I don't know how well they work. Looking at them they basically look like any other diaper. I don't see any color indicator but its a luxury I'll get over (free diapers supercedes the color line). Is there any Huggies users out there that are happy with them? Or anyone that has used both and have a preference?

  • I need baby name help ASAP!!!?

I'm 36 weeks and 4 days and I have a feeling my daughter (who seems to be out of room) is well on her way. I am definately settled on the first name Zuri (Swahili for beautiful) and thought I was settled on the middle name Taraji (Swahili for hope/faith) but now I'm having 2nd thoughts on the middle name. Little background info really quick...my husband is Belizean American and Mexican American (1st generation American) and I'm African American. Its been a little difficult to pull in all three cultures. Her last name is Castillo if that helps.

  • Baby weight??? 33 weeks and 3 days...?

I'm 33 weeks and 3 days today and just came back from an ultrasound where my baby weighs approximately 3 lbs and 15 ounces. What is the average weight for a baby at 33 weeks? Personally I am a very petite woman. I am 5 foot 3 and pre-pregnancy was 82 lbs and now weigh 105...if that matters.

  • Baby shower...grandmothers...?

I have my baby shower coming up in about a week and I want to give both grandmothers (my mom and husband's mother) gifts. Something meaningful and thoughtful. Any ideas??? On a sidenote...my mother is much more involved and the one throwing the shower so I need an idea of an equal gift and maybe something I can do for my mother on the side.

  • Need advice on what type of tree to plant...?

I'm having my first child in July. I thought I would give the grandparents a tree as a gift (for becoming grandparents/mothers day) and also as a gift to my daughter to see it grow and know that has been here since she has. We live here in San Antonio, Texas to give you an idea of climate and dirt type. One set of grandparents live in the city where they have mostly pecan trees and really green grass and the other set live outside the city on a ranch where the land is more wooded and dry. Any ideas would help...thanks!

  • Why do people adopt...?

Why do people adopt from China and really any other country outside the United States? I'm not asking for opinion sake I really want to know is there a specific reason...like...is it faster, is it financial, is it politically, is it emotions. Pregnant so I'm obsessed with Discovery Health and watch "Adoption Stories" and I've seen it a few times (more often than not) and was curious why.

  • What is the hype behind Susan Boyle? Seriously?

What is the big hype? She can sing...okay so can a million other people. Not to be harsh but is it because she's ugly and old? I mean it seems like she makes herself look horrid as to add an element of suprise. Was it because it came as a suprise? I'm just wondering what's the hype because I'm tired of seeing her everywhere! I'm not bashing, I just really don't see the hype and maybe I've missed a part of the story behind her.

  • Going into labor...will you?

I've watched a few of these baby delivery shows and I'm noticing more and more mommies to be going thru labor with their make-up, hair done and even designer hospital gowns! Personally I think I would think too much is going on but apparently this is not uncommon? Are you planning on getting "snazzy" for your babies arrival???

  • Need help!!! Names are stressful!!!?

Okay so I need some baby name help! We're settled on Zuri (Swahili for beautiful) for the fisrt name but we're at such a loss for a middle name. A little background info...I'm black with 1/4 German...my husband is Belizean and Mexican (1st generation American). Last name is Castillo. I'm not looking for a Sally or John but I don't exactly want a Shanika or Maricela either. I know that makes it complicated but I don't want stereo-typical names if that makes sense. My neice's name is Amya Me'Chelle (pronounced Me-chelle) and my newphew's name is Aaren (pronounced Aa-Ren) Mykel (My-Kel). I want something that runs smoothly like that. OMG please help I'm strating to go insane!!!
