I bought them green from the supermarket and ripened them in a paper bag. They took almost a month to ripen.

Today I was trying to cook them, but they've become rock hard. The skin is mostly black but with spots of yellow (so I thought they were still not totally ripe yet).

When I tried to peel them, the skin seems to have grown into the flesh and they're impossible to peel! The flesh is now contaminated and rotten around the edges. What's wrong??

When I eat my breakfast on the back of a bus, the vibrations of the engine kinda get to me. Does eating in a car lead to indigestion or anything like that, or is it just me?

I've been learning piano ever since I was four. I'm 16 now. I recently just found out about the ABRSM exams, and I wanna give it a try. I know that in order to go to the higher levels i must pass grade 5 (which is gonna be a cinch, i think), but i wanna pass the highest level i can (grade 8) by december of 2009, in time for college admissions. i know it's gonna be tight between june and december next year, but i think i can do it. what confused me, though, was if i wanna pass 8th, i have to pass a THEORY grade 5? i can't take grade 8 if i just pass practical grade 5? so can i just take a theory grade 5 (not a practical) and go onto 8th?

does grade 8 just have the same requirements as grade 5, albeit harder? (no additional improvs, hearing tests, theory tests, etc.?)

and I know ABRSM exams aren't the only ones out there. Are there any better ones to take? or is this the most known and acknowledged?

I'm trying to think of another, less formal-sounding name for "Chinese interest group" at my school. Something more "cool," unique. Any ideas?

I have a wooden comb, and recently some black spots have grown on the end of the handle. I'm assuming it's fungus. But I really like the comb and I know breathing in the spots is unhealthy. How can I get rid of the spots?

The longest one is interphase, but what's after that? telophase, or prophase? why?

I was trying to burn a DVD with my laptop and Nero Express. I put in the DVD I want to burn, and clicked Copy. And then since Nero wasn't responding anymore, I clicked stop. And afterwards, I couldn't get my original DVD out! The Eject button doesn't work, neither does clicking on Eject in WMA or Real. Help! How can I get it out! Just in case (I don't think you need this info), i have an Aspire 3690.
