  • I have HMO and got a bill "not covered by insurance".?

I chose HMO under my job since I wanted a lower premium and I would make minimal visits to the doctor. I went to a gynecologist that was accepted and within my HMO. I had a $0 copay my first visit (which included the insertion of the IUD - I paid for the device out-of-pocket). Then I returned a month later for a follow-up, also a $0 copay.

About a month later I received a bill for $154 not covered under my insurance. What did I do wrong? I thought I did not have to make any more payments since my copay was $0. Is it normal to get a surprise bill. Should I have discussed the visit with my insurance company to have an estimate of an out-of-pocket expense?

I thought that by paying for my insurance per pay period, I would not need to pay for an annual visit. I technically had a follow-up, which I believe was the reason for the cost. But I still do not understand.

  • 3mbps or 25mbps Internet speed for husband and I?

I live only with husband. All we do is browse Internet, watch Netflix and other online movie sites. It is almost always together. No online gaming or movie downloads.

Comcast has a $20/month for 3mbps speed with no channels for cable. After 12 months it will be $30/month

    Or

$40/month for 25mbps speed with basic and HBO channels, as well as "on demand". After 12 months it will be about $70/month.

Also I need to rent a router.

Is 25mbps necessary or should I stick with lowest price?

  • Did I get the job? No call from HR yet, but they loved me.?

My interview lasted 2 hours. I first interviewed with HR, and it went great. I gave my certifications and RN license to HR. I was handed a benefits package and told what my pay would roughly be. HR told me that orientation began the 5th of every month. I was even introduced to the team at the department, such as the RN staff. I spoke with the assistant manager and consultant as well, who sincerely looked like they loved me. I was complimented on my professional outfit and for being well spoken. Lastly, I asked the assistant manager when I would start and she said that HR needs to give official notice and to call with any concern.

I interviewed last week and still have not received a call or email with official notice. My assumption is that paper work takes time, but I am uncertain. Tomorrow I am going to call the assistant manager to follow up, but of course I am nervous. I do not want to sound inpatient. I have never worked at an HR department, but I believe one week should be enough time to reassure me that I have the position.

Take note: This will be my second job as an RN. At my first job as an RN, I was called by HR as I was walking to my car just as I finished the interview. Waiting is new to me.

  • Parents not broke and constantly borrowing money?

Both parents work. Mom makes $35/hour, part time. Dad gets $1000 weekly. The income is good, but so far they have borrowed $1500 from me and haven't paid back in months. The reason there is no money is that my parents have a farm in Panama with our family who live there free and get paid to maintain the place. Also parents pay $300 monthly towards a timeshare. Mom also pays for two of her brothers' college in Panama...

Parents refuse to sell farm and timeshare. They lost their house and were bankrupt because of the 'investments'. We moved and now are renting a house. I am 21, engaged and in 6 months I am leaving. I have 4 older brothers that did not pay a dime and stayed longer than me. Most left at 23-24 years old. I at least give $200 a month, and buy groceries in addition to the extra money parents 'need' to borrow.

I feel wrong to tell mom that I will no longer let her borrow money, but it needs to be done. They have money but spend it on investments rather than their responsibilities at home. It is wrong. Does anyone else have parents with money who are "broke" and ask for money...

  • I'm 20 years old, was I given a size L child's sweater?

I received a sweater from Kohl's and brand is "AIRPORT girls clothing company". I typically wear size M and this sweater is size L. It is short and to the belly button. Did the person who bought the gift accidentally bought this from the older children's aisle and got me the sweater? Has anyone ever heard of this brand. I googled it and I can almost conclude that it is a size 10-12 Large in children's clothes.

  • Should I get a job as an RN or as a Nursing Assistant?

I passed my NCLEX-RN September 26, 2012. I am 20 years old (started nursing school after I graduated high school 2010). Here in New Jersey, job market is tough for Associates Degree in Nursing new grads like me. I have no job background (I played sports every season in high school; and I focused hard during nursing school = no job). I am ACLS and PALS certified; I also am a fluent Spanish speaker, I translated throughout nursing school to patients, doctors, and nurses.

Should I get a job as a Nursing Assistant as I wait for my license to come in mail (1-2 months), and until I finish my Bachelors (started a 1 year program, will have bachelors by November 2013). From what I hear from health care professionals, with a bachelors, I have a better chance of obtaining a job.

I need to decide now, I just wanted another perspective.
