Ethiopian restaurants in Kansas City?
A few months ago a friend and I searched the city but found nothing. Addis Ababa had an online ad but it wasn't at the location advertised. Dialed 411 and the only place they directed us had become a Mexican restaurant at some point. Just looking for an Ethiopian place in KC! Thanks!
3 AnswersKansas City1 decade agoUnplugging an ignition interlock device?
Not trying to fool a breathalyzer here or anything like that, just curious about one certain aspect of how an ignition interlock device works. The way these things work: One must blow into the device to start the car. Once one's 'breath' is approved, the ignition can be turned on. A few minutes later, the device asks the driver to perform the test again. After that, the device asks the driver to perform a "rolling test" again every 30 minutes or so. My question: what happens if one simply unplugs the device from the cord that is hooking it to the engine? I unplugged the device once while the engine was still running (I was parked at home) and the engine continued to run normally. I'm wondering how long the engine will continue to run as normal while the device is unplugged?

The movie "Identity", starring John Cusack, is a remake of another movie - and I can't remember what it is. Anybody?
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoPassing a pee test?
I understand that alcohol only takes a few days tops to get out of one's system for a urinalysis. But what about weed? I'm a big guy but I get decent exercise and drink lots of water. I haven't smoked in 38 days and before that just spent a few weeks smoking a few hits every day or so. Before that I didn't touch the stuff for 2 months. Will I pee clean?
2 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade agoQuestion about a lease agreement?
I originally signed a 6 month lease with a landlord beginning Jan. 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2006. I have since never signed a renewal agreement and need to move out very soon. However, the landlord brought this clause in the agreement to my attention: "13. NOTICE AT END OF AGREEMENT: Either party shall give the other party written notice of his intention not to renew the Agreement at the end of the original term of this Agreement. This notice shall be given sixty (60) days before the end of the original terms. If there is no written notice between the parties, then this Agreement shall renew for an additional term equal to the original term."
The landlord claims that the lease automatically renews every 6 months and thus I am under the lease until June 30, 2008. Is this true? The wording is a little tricky and so I'm not sure. Thanks for your help!
11 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhy are the Kansas Jayhawks so awesome?
Is it because they are God's favorite team? Is it the lockdown guard play of Robinson and Chalmers? Is it the inside devastation of Jackson and Kaun? Or is it the sweet 3-point shot of Brandon Rush? I'm serious, they're so awesome they could likely go undefeated and beat UNC or Memphis (or both at the same time) by 30 in the national championship game. It's almost unbelievable, the unprecedented sheer awesomeness of this team. Would anybody like to argue against my assertion?

Hair testing for signs of drug/alcohol abuse. I am aware that urinalysis/breath testing is quite common to determine an offender's history of use/abuse, but is hair testing ever used?

2 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoDutch Lessons?
I lived in the Netherlands a few years back and spoke the language pretty well. However, after moving back to the states and having no Nederlanders around, I've forgotten quite a bit of it because I have no practice. If you'd like to swap lessons (even though I know most Nederlanders speak excellent English - I could still teach some slang, etc.) let me know, and I'll give my real email address. Bedankt!
4 AnswersNetherlands1 decade agoWill KU go undefeated this year?
They had a couple of close games earlier this year when a couple of players were injured. They're full steam ahead now, and I can't see them being CHALLENGED even, until they run into UNC or Memphis in the tourney.

If so, who's gonna win and why?
8 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhy the disrespect?
If the KU Jayhawks are mentioned at all in regards to the Orange Bowl, it's somebody whining about how they don't belong there. What are talking heads going to say after we SMOKE VaTech on Thursday night? (Forget strength of schedule - OSU is in the championship for cryin' out loud. And Missouri didn't get ripped off - they got what slave-trading mentally retarded redneck bumpkins deserve.)

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you believe the USA was founded as a Christian nation?
'Cause it wasn't. "One nation under God", "In God we Trust", "...endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights" - these are all phrases that DON'T appear in the US Constitution, which is the blueprint for how the US is intended to be run and the supreme law of this great land. In fact, the only mention of religion in the Constitution (besides the Bill of Rights, which states that both religion and a lack thereof are allowable) is a passage which states that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States". I'm just curious as to how many folks are brainwashed into thinking we are/were a Christian nation?
