A friend was given a photograph by her boyfriend - this was sometime ago and they have since broke up.

  • Is a step-child classed as next of kin?

I married my ex when my son was 6...they both had a good relationship and even though we divorced , they remained close.

My ex had no other children and was estranged from his family. My son has never had any contact with his 'natural' father and called my ex' Dad.

My ex has had health problems and wants my son as his next of kin but has been told that legally it's his sister - who he's had no contact with for nearly 20 years!!!

Can anyone advise....This is NOTHING to do with a will!!

  • Do job vacancies have to be advertised externally?

A friend was interested in a job (local authority)...after the original post holder left, she was told the vacancy would be advertised in the local press. She's just been told that the post was filled by someone internally - with no experience of this area of work.

    Is this legal??

Acas say it is....I keep thinking I've read something somewhere which say's it's not!

  • How do I deal with a liar?

My partner's daughter is 22, she has two kids. Problem is her lies - which are continual and in all honesty really serious - latest ones have been about her income ( social have taken all her money off her. Council won't re-house her and her child has serious medical condition!!) I know she's lying but he can't see it.

I feel like I'm dammed if I do say something and dammed if I don't. I also really don't want to damage relationship between them but this is causing friction with us

  • How to make ex-husband leave me alone!?

Have been divorced for six years, alone for four and in a relationship for the past two years.

My ex-husband heard via someone that I'm in a relationship and all hell has broken loose!

I get phone calls - txt messages - letters. He comes to the house, hangs around where I work.

I spoke to the police but was told he's not being rude, aggressive or nasty. So...nothing that they can do.

    I can't afford a civil case.

We have no children, he's been on his own since relationship ended.

  • Does anyone get dizzy around the time of their period?

As I've gotten older, around 'that' time of the month I find myself feeling very dizzy BUT not ill or faint!

Someone mentioned it's also connected to the menopause - any thoughts would be welcome

  • I'm Sagittarius and yet I meet none of the so-called trait's for this sign. Why?

While I don't follow astrology that keenly I am really interested. My son is a Gemini and a lot that's said about the character of a Gemini applies to him, likewise my partner and his sign.

Whenever I read about mine, virtually nothing matches - am just intrigued

  • Who play's you in the film of your life?

Ok...you have reached the heights of fame and a film is being made of your life. Who plays you and why?

I'd go for Susan Sarandon - still a 'babe' and I think she can do comedy and tragedy!!!!

  • I'm in a relationship with a guy who has 2 kids (both in twenties). He was divorced 17 years ago! Help?!?

His daughter is dreadful, how do I deal with it?

She lies continually (told us her son needed operation and on another occasion said her partner was being abusive to her) , is manipulative and is always asking for money.

I'm alway's nice to her but can see the effect it has on him - do I say something? Keep quiet and just be there for him?

Her mum has told her I'm the reason for the marriage ending but this is totally untrue - I tried to talk to her about this but she just said it didn't matter. I was actually his first girlfriend, we split and he married her mum, I never saw him until the marriage ended - her mum does know this!
