  • Ticket for not wearing a seat belt?

Driving home the other day I was about a 100yds away from my apartment complex when I took off my seat belt. The local sheriff saw me do this and pulled me over inside my complex right in front of my apartment. I gave him my paperwork and I figured I would get a warning. He gave me a ticket to which I replied "Are you kidding me I live right here." I asked him if he could cut me some slack because I am going active duty military in about 4 weeks and I won't have time to take care of this before I leave. He handed me the ticket and walked away. The fine was 132.00 which seems kind of high. Does the cop have the power to adjust my fine by writing something extra on the ticket that I may have missed. This is my first ever traffic violation and it happened in California.

  • Breaking a leasing agreement.?

I currently have 4 months remaining on a year long lease. I need to break the lease because I am going active duty military. My landlord has told me that I can break my part of the lease if I show them a copy of my military orders and I have to find someone to take my place on the lease. This doesn't sound right, I believe my military service gets me out of my lease completely but can they hold my roommates responsible for my share of the rent. Can my active duty military status release my roommates from the lease because they can not afford my share on top of theirs. I live in La Mesa, California.

  • CPU compatibility with motherboard.?

My motherboard doesn't specifically say that it will work with a quad core processor. It lists Core 2 Duo / Core 2 Extreme / Pentium EE / Pentium as compatible processors. It doesn't list my Pentium D as a compatible CPU but it obviously works with it. I have an ASUS P5LD2 motherboard and I want to put a Q6600 in. Anybody know if it will work.

  • Installing a new CPU with a different FSB?

I am installing a new processor in my computer that has a faster FSB than the previous one. I thought i could just throw it in and it would work but its not working at all. I am going from a Pentium D 930 to a Core 2 Duo E7300. I am wondering if I need to change some setting on the motherboard. I have an ASUS P5LD2 motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

My motherboard says that it works with both 1066 and 800 FSB speeds.

  • Improperly filled out speeding ticket. CHP?

I recently received a speeding ticket for doing 90mph in a 70mph zone. I am of course guilty as most people are but I think the cop may have been trying to cut me a break. He asked me 3 times if I had a commercial license which it is quite odd because it is obvious that I do because commercial licenses are noticeably different from a regular drivers license in appearance. Anyways, after telling him all 3 times that I do have a commercial license he checked the box for "no" on the ticket. I'm wondering if an improperly filled out ticket containing false information allows me to contest or get out of the ticket altogether.

  • Labor Law question - uninterrupted 30 min break.?

I am currently working as a security officer at a hotel in San Diego and I am frequently the only one on duty. During my 30 min "duty free" break which I will be written up for if I fail to take I am both required to remain on property and monitor a radio in case there is an emergency. I am frequently bothered during my break because I am the only one in the building who can do my job. Several times I have remained off the clock to take care of a situation only to get caught up in a situation where I am unable to punch in. If I am required to be on property and monitor a radio can my break really be considered duty free?

  • I am being forced to have a 3.5 hour turnaround in the middle of the night at my job.?

My current schedule, and this has been happening for weeks, has me coming in from 1830 till 3:00am. I then go home for what is usually less than two hours of sleep and have to be back at 0630. I work security at a hotel downtown so I am wondering if they are violating any laws by having me do this. This is causing me to be exhausted for most of the weekend until I can find a time to catch up on sleep later. I work in San Diego California so I am wondering if there is a federal or state statute that prohibits this.

  • Can someone explain my recent headaches?

I have gone my whole life without experiencing a headache that lasts more than 2 minutes but this past saturday up until now I have been experiencing pressure in my head multiple times a day. I went for a 4 mile run on friday and almost blacked out sprinting the last 200yards. Could that have anything to do with my recent discomfort? I feel fine with the exception of random occurances of brain pain throughout the day.

  • Creation vs. Evolution: Another missing piece?

    http://www.thetaxpayerschannel.org/graphics/creati...

Does this prove that there was a global flood and is it also likely that the earth is closer to 6,000 years old instead of the 6 billion year old earth that science has to use in order to give ample time for evolution to take place?

  • Boise State for BCS title game?

Boise state destroyed Oregon state who in turn handed USC its only loss. Therefore, shouldn't Boise state be ahead of USC in the polls? Not that it will matter because Ohio State is by far the best team in the nation. Don't let Michigans inspired performance in Ohio fool you.
