  • christianity and swinging?

So I belive that the bible is the ultimate truth. Here are my questions:

    1) my husband's biggest fantasy is to watch me have sex with another man.

    2) I must be obedient to my husband, and also be true to my belifs.

    3) Is it wrong / right in the act to allow other people into thte relationship or is it only wrong / right in the hrat?

    4) is there any place in the bible that explicitly says it is wrong to have your wife be with anther man?

    5) is there any place in the bbible that explicitly says it is permissable to have your wife be with another man?

    10) If I allow this, will I be condeming or otherwise hurting my husband?

    11) what is your personal opinion on swinging etc concerning the word?

  • My brother keeps getting in money trouble, how do I help?

    Me and my husband:

Got to cananda 2 years ago with no job, debt, and pregnant with my first baby. We stayed in my parents place, sold things, found work, and started to dig our way out of debt. Now we have 2 kids, own a car, refuse to get any new debt, moved out of my parents and in with a roomate. We have put aside some money for our first trip together since getting married.

    My brother and his wife:

Own several cars which dont work, and a lot of things that are packed into storage in thier expensive-to-rent home. They declared banrupcy once, and yet are still struggling to pay the bills. One kid, and trying for another.

    Our problem:

We love him. We have helped him pay for bills in the past, he is grateful, and always very generous. Now they have another bill they cannot pay, and I want to help. But I also dont know if Im actually helping by giving them my vacation money or not, because I feel like they got into this situatuon by making foolish decisions, and will do it again. But it seems very heartless to go on a vacation when they are going to have thier power cut. what do I do? how can I help?

  • Does adoption help anything?

We have 2 kids, and would like to add more children to our family, but I hear about the horrible situations some kids are born into, and I wonder if it would be better to adopt a child who needs a home, than to have more of my own. We were consitering international adoption.

I have heard many people argue that International adoption is a bad idea. I have also heard people say that those who want to adopt a newborn or non-special-needs child are just being selfish. I have also heard that local adoption has more waiting parents than wating kids. Is adopting a special needs child the best way to go? the only way to go? Our aim is to give one child a real family, so they dont end up in the sea of unwanted or neglected children. But I dont know if we are prepared for an older child or special needs child

What is your opinion on it?

  • What does a staay at home mom do?

    I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old

I spend a lot of time just cleaning and keeping people fed and rested

Some days I can't belive how much time I have on my hands, and I wonder what other moms do for a schedule that they are always so run down? I mean I feel emotionally tired yes, but I still have a lot more time than I thought I would.

Id like to know (in detail would be great) what all you moms do during the day at home?

  • I feel angry when the baby cries!?

I get so mad when the baby cries, that I often put her in her crib and go outside for a breath of air, or cry myself. I hate that I feel like this. I get so so mad when she cries, that I even think about hurting her. I never have hurt my kids, but I feel awful for having angry thoughts and feelings when they cry, I mean shes just a baby!

Does anyone else ever feel like this? is it normal? is there anything else I can do?

  • Latching but no suction?

    Hi there,

This is my second baby. The first one latched no prob, and ate like a champ. I thought this one was doing the same, but it now seems to be changing, here is how breastfeeding goes with her:

-it sounds like she swallows a lot of air

-she cries a lot and Im pretty sure its because of gas

-she spits up much more than my first baby

-I don't have any pain during breastfeeding

-she has (as far as I can tell) a good latch, but NO SUCTION.

I think the lack of suction is the problem,. but I dont know how to fix it. I've tried bottles too, and the exact same problem arises. The only time she sucks without this problem is while she is asleap, but she never takes in very much while sleeping.

PLEASE help? She is so uncomfortable with the gas, and we are so so so tired from trying to help her be more comfy at night.

  • newborn wont sleep on her back!?

She is only 3 weeks old, so I dont know how much sleep training I can do at this point. She fights sleep by trying to suckle, crying, and flailing her arms. She pretty much cries the majoraty of the time she is not eating or sleeping. I've been able to get her to fall asleap on my chest, and on her belly on a lambskin, but if I place her on her back she wakes and begins to cry. She has a lot of gas and I wonder if something I am eating is bugging her or something.

    any ideas?

  • newborn swallowing air?

My newborn (12 days old) seems to have as good of a latch as my first baby did. She eats very fast and furious, but I hear the milk going down with a guzzly sound instead of that quiet 'click click' I heard with my son. So I'm pretty sure she is swallowing air with feeds.

She has a lot of gas pains and spitting up, and cries SOOOO much. I think the excessive crying is from the air she is swallowing, but I dont know how to fix it.

    Any ideas?

  • In Canada, adopting my friend's baby?

My roomate is 20 and just found out she is pregnant. She is consitering all her options right now, and I'm thinking about offering to adopt her baby if she decides she is not ready to be a parent.

I am 28, happily married, and have one son, and a daughter on the way.

So I guess the question is how much money would it cost? Is it something I can afford to offer right now?

Also, my son is just 2, I am due in february, and she is due in august. how reasonable is it to take care of 3 kids so close in age?

What would it mean for her relationship with my family? She's not a super-close friend. What if she wants to take it back?

  • Your good experience with hypnobabies?

    Hi there,

Im doing a hypnobabies course to deal with the birth of my second child. The first birth experience I had was very traumatic and involved a lot of unwanted situations, pain, and fear. I'm trying to get over that so that I can have a better experience this time, and I'd really like to hear if anyone has a good birth story.

    oh and a request:

Nothing negative please, I've already experienced and heard more than enough negative things about birth, I'd like to hear the posative side now.

    Thanks for sharing!!

  • do midwives check you at home?

Hey, last time I had a baby I went the doctor route, and ended up going back and forth to the hospital 4 times, so that someone would check my progress and send me home or admit me. ( I had an unusual labour, so it was hard to tell my progress through contractions alone). This time I've got a midwife, and I live an hour from the birth center, so Im wondering; When I go into labour, and say 'hey, I think I'm ready to go to the hospital now' will the midwife drive all the way out here to check me, or do I have to go into the clinic?

  • Was your second pregnancy and birth any different than the first one?

    Hi!

I had a pretty good pregnancy last time, but a 2 day long and painful birth. I also went from 105lbs to 180lbs during pregnancy, so my body changed quite a lot. I love my new body, and I'm wondering if my body will change again when I have this second baby, or if this is pretty much my post-baby body regardless of how many kids I have. And people say the birth is shorter on the second one, is that true? How did your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum differ the second time around from the first time around?

  • What's your remedy for morning sickness?

This is my second baby, I had it last time too. (worse than this time). And I never found anything that worked very well. My sister is pregnant too now and also 'morning' sick. Dont know why they call it that, mine starts at noon and gets worse as the day goes on, I'm actually fine in the morning.

    So, what worked for you?

  • how do I make friends?

this may sound silly to you.

    but

Im a new mom, and just moved to a new town. I have always lived in a big city, and had lots of friends. but now that the baby isnt a newborn anymore, I find that I want to go out and do things, but I dont know anyone. I dont have a lot of money to take classes or anything, and my husband is sweet, but likes to spend a lot of time alone. Most mom's I have met seem to be only able to talk about thier kids, and just want to sit around and have coffee. I want to meet people who I can be friends with, real friends. go out! have sleepovers! camp! play video games! but it seems hard to meet people who have things in common with me other than 'mom-hood.' And non-moms seem to think Im automatically boring as soon as I tell them I have a kid, and dont invite me anywhere. any hellp? advice?
