We are in a rental house. Our return air vents (they are in our ceiling) have cold air coming through them. If it is really windy outside I have to cover some so the cold air stays out. What could cause this? Also our furnace and water heater our in a side room off of the garage. A couple times a week the water heater will smell, almost like a dead animal but not. That smell will come in through our regular heater vents that are located on the floor. What causes the smell to get into the furnace and what can I do about this? It is a rental house so I cannot do much construction or any opening of walls/ceilings. Our landlord said it was just the filter and I have changed it and I know it is not.

We have been renting for 3 years at $500 a month, is there a way to purchase a house and use the $500 as a mortgage payment? We have no credit and no debt, but my husband is the only one working so we are a low income family. (I do not plan on working for the next 2 years because of 3 children under the age of 3 and child care costs outweigh another income)

I'm 23 and 28 weeks pregnant. I have had a vein in my right leg (starts at the top of the inner leg) that sticks out and has a 'rippled' effect. My leg has a constant achy pain, sometimes it can be more painful. The swollen vein leads into a spot the size of a golf ball about 6 inches from my ankle. The spot is purple/white/dark red and now it has started to slowly swell also. (so the swollen vein is leading into a spot that is starting to swell) Is this something to be concerned about? I have looked this up on the internet and I am not finding too much.

My husband wants to name our baby, if it's a boy, Chevy. I am not a fan of it. Does anyone think Chev is a bad idea, that way we can 'agree'? Or should we just stay with Chevy?

My husband put an aftermarket stereo in my silverado, he bought a metra wiring harness and the extra wire that goes with this model. the truck started the first time after it was put in, then the truck will not start at all. the battery reads 3/4 full on the gauge and the truck does make a clicking noise when you try to start it. we replaced the starter and still the same thing, we put the old cd player in and still nothing. what else could this be?

everything turns on in the truck and the battery has a good read so the battery is for sure not the problem.

I am pregnant with my 3rd child. I have for the past couple weeks, I would see something pass my vision really fast, but I would look and nothing would be there. For example, I thought I saw a bug/spider crawl quickly across the floor tonight and I looked and nothing was there. It is more of blur image, not necessarily a bug. Can this be related to my pregnancy? I have never had an vision problems or anything like this before. It happens daily.

I dye my hair about every 6 weeks and I have tried to avoid getting the dye on my scalp but that is impossible since it is liquid. Has anyone ever heard of any negative effects from using store bought hair dye while pregnant? Has anyone else dyed their hair while pregnant?

I normally only have 0-1 bars where I live to use my phone. My husband wants to get a blackberry. Will the email/internet service on the blackberry, that's required, work where we live since we have the same carrier? I told him I do not think that it will work since he will not have the proper signal but he said it will work...should he just get a regular phone?

I'm pregnant and my mother in law is driving me to the point I nearly think about it all the time. I really stress about her calling or seeing her. This started with the birth of my first child. She seriously threw a fit because I did not want her or anyone (except my husband and cousin) in the delivery room with me. I was NOT comfortable with it, but she threw the fit till they let her in. She never stops complaining about body aches, her job, church, volunteer work, and people in general. She does not listen to any "rules" I have for my kids. The think that bothers me most is she always acts like she pays for everything for our family, voicing this publicly, when she nearly does nothing. (she will sometimes buy us a box of diapers or buy the kids some clothes) But this is stuff I think most grandparents do. The fact that she tells people that she has to do everything for us really bothers me. Even at our wedding reception she said out loud "they better like it for the $8000 we spent." (My parents paid for nearly all of it.) It was really embarrassing. What the heck can I do because it is causing my husband and I to fight?

Installed a cd player with speakers and an amp. The cd player put out sound/music just fine. The next day I went to turn the car on, the cd player did the normal "beep beep, beep beep" noise when you turn it on and off, but there was no music. (it STILL makes the on and off noise through the speakers...but no music) I have checked fuses and the different modes/tuning on the cd player. I am confident in the wiring. Any ideas?

I have a Pioneer DEH-3000IB and i just wired it up and everything worked. I went out to work on my truck again last night and hooked the battery up and turned on the cd player and no sound came from the speakers. Cd player works fine plays cd, scans the radio stations even makes the fancy beeping noise but no music. I just put in all new speakers, and I double checked to make sure the speakers are good. Please help me before I throw the unit across my yard.

I am trying to find a wiring diagram for the turn signal mirrors that are factory with the truck? I need to know the wire colors for the main power and the turn signal from the mirrors. Thanks

My hair is med/light brown naturally as I have gone into my 20s...I used to have it: my natural dark blonde shade in high school with frost highlights. I dyed my hair a medium blonde and I dont like how my roots appear so fast. Should I frost highlight over it and just have a line where the natural and dye meet, or should I dye my hair brown and then highlight it? Or any other suggestions? (no red or black please) Thanks

I am hypothyroid. My doctor says my levels are fine. My hair is very coarse and thinning. I really need help and suggestions. Thanks (I am on 3000 mcg of Biotin, vitamin.)

I found out I had hypothyroidism in August 2007. I am on 50 mcg of levothyroxine...I am trying to loose 15-20 lbs and just can't seem to do it. I have never had any weight problems till June of 2007. I am now 22 and I feel like I should be able to loose the weight with diet and exercise but it isn't happening. My doctor says my levels for my thyroid are fine. My hair is also continuing to fall out slowly and is very coarse. Which is also a problem that I have never had? Can anyone help or suggest anything that would help?

I have no credit, never had a credit card and never have taken out a loan for anything. I'm 22 and my husband and I were looking into buying a new vehicle. Is 0% apr only a promotion or does it have to do with your past credit. The loan rate for the bank was 6.5%. If I wait will a 0% happen or am I just stuck with 6.5% since I have no credit?

I cut my hair back in April 08 to between shoulder/chin length. I have gotten married and we are not having our reception til the late winter. I have had some thyroid problems that have made it so my hair is thinning, falling out, and tangles. I do not use any products except a kids detangler spray and I have been taking 3000 mcg of biotin daily. (which is helping the strengthen it) My hair is not growing and is still the same length after all this time. I want my hair long again, should I try extensions or just get a wig? Can you get extensions that are long with this short of hair or will it look noticeable?

Any other suggestions?

I was wondering if I bought white tablecloths that are 55% cotton and 45% polyester for my wedding reception...could they be dyed to a chocolate brown? They are commercial/restaurant grade Would I have to have a professional do it?
