How to fix a burst water pipe?
I live in a little (12' by 70') old mobile home. This past winter the water line to my outside faucet froze and sprang a leak (all my other pipes are pvc and wrapped in heat tape). I was wondering if electrical tape and duct tape would be a decent temporary fix? I want to try that stuff on tv that changes color but don't know where to get it. I do have extra pvc from replacing my water main last summer (the copper pipe was so full of holes it let more water out than in). So it will get fixed just not right now.
So anyway will the tape work? Of course after I use the hose the water line will get shut off. I just need to re-seed my lawn and then water it. So it will only be used every other day or so.
Thank-you for any help.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoYamaha 400 special 1980. Where should the petcock lever be when bike is turned off?
My husband got this bike a couple weeks ago and we have no idea where the lever should be. The 3 choices are res (reserve), On, and pri (prime).
We have the workshop manual but not the owner's and all it tells us is how to rebuild or put together everything.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also if you know how to push start it? We need step-by-step instructions (The thing keeps getting it's engine flooded so I think we're setting the lever wrong (to pri?) when we turn it off.)
Unfortunately neither of us is very skilled with engines. He is planning on taking a course is small engine repair but that's not happening yet.
Again thanks in advance.
7 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoI'm looking for a Bucilla cross stitch pattern #83323?
I bought the kit about 12 years ago and have not been able to finish it due to the lost color chart.
I have already contacted the manufaturer and they no longer have a replacement.
It's ok if it has slight damage or parts need to be re-written onto graph paper.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. The name of the piece is Nativity and it was published in 1995. I have it half finished but am unable to complete the piece.
If you would be able to at least lend me the pattern I would be very greatful. They do have the kit available on e-bay but I can't afford the price and only need the color chart.
